My last review for this location was 15 years ago so time for an update! Not a huge selection of vegetarian options here but there's definitely enough of a selection to make a meal. May not be the healthiest meal but you won't starve. Hubby still eats meat so he is set lol. Staff is friendly. When it gets busy you might have to wait awhile for your food to be delivered, but it will more than likely be hot when it's delivered so that's a plus. Lots of seating, and they have the air conditioning cranked! One of the best locations for this franchise! Family favorite for sure. read more

If you haven't been to a Ron's before, you're in for a delicious, incredible unhealthy and Oklahoma staple! Don't get me wrong, I love this stuff, but if you count calories, don't come here unless it's a cheat day! This like all the other Ron's are known for their traditional style beef chili and sausage burgers. It's worth it to get that burger with the sausage added because YUMMY! Also some chili cheese fries are a winner right? YES. YES I AM RIGHT! So, THIS location is placed conveniently in a little strip mall and is surprisingly large when you get inside. Plenty of spots to sit down and eat flying solo or with a good size party. The staff here were very friendly and accommodating. My glass of sweet tea didn't run dry! That's always a big win for me, especially when I have a meal realistically big enough for three, in front of me all to myself! Overall try this spot out if you're in south BA. When you want a good old fashioned burger, this is the place to go. I also love the bacon cheese fries and the half portion is more than enough for 2-3 people. They have chicken that is great fried. Today I want to be a little healthier and tried the Spanish chicken. It is grilled chicken covered in cheese; bacon; and grilled onions. It normally has jalapeños but I asked for those to be left off. Thankfully I checked my order before I left bc it had jalapeños. I went back in and they were very nice and showed me the ticket where it was correct but the cook did not read it. They made it right and gave me an extra coleslaw. September 18 "National Cheese Burger Day" Good hamburgers and massive amounts of fries. We made the mistake of ordering the regular size fries to split with our burgers. It was literally well over two pounds of potatoes. It was a huge pile of potatoes. The burgers and fries were good but really didn't stand out as better than average. Getting seated when you walk through the door is almost immediate. Once seated, the service is fast and efficient. The service to pay your bill and get out, during the lunch hour when everyone is trying to get back to work is not so efficient. One lady works the cash register and also packs the to-go orders, making sure all the condiments, utensils, etc. are loaded in the orders. The food is just like the old man cooked it at the original location slapping a slice of cheese on top of the bun for the chili cheese burgers. The kitchen is clean but the dining area needs some serious TLC. Seriously the carpet needs to go. Looks like it hasn't been cleaned in 15 years. Sticky and full of grime the make it look like an oil slick. For the life of me I don't know why restaurants still put in carpet. Rip that shit up and polish the floors. Cheap and easy. I've always loved Ron's chili, fries and just about everything else on their menu. Real comfort food. All of their locations offer well-prepared food that is delicious and consistent. The drawback is their overuse of salt, but that might just be my personal preference for adding salt at my own discretion. Also, I have experienced some variation in service, anywhere from fast, friendly and funny to cavalier and throw-down-the-plate-and-walk-away. The majority provide very good service. The ambiance is typical chili house, all the furniture and fixtures are quite old, but clean and functional. Normally I would say Ron's is the best but this evening we ordered food. The chili cheese fries were not only lousy, the price went up like everything else, the quality dropped, the amount dropped. Normally the container would be full. Now half way, asked for specifics such as one order with no cheese, they all had cheese, forgotten full order of fries. When we called they refused to refund for the forgotten fries. Said they'd give them to us during next order. We'll, that won't happen. Not going there anymore. The food was over cooked. I cannot tell you how much I absolutely LOVE this chili. I'm serious, I can only get back to town once or Twice a year and it is mandatory for me to get my chili! I took my family to dinner and came out of there less than $50 for 5 people. You honestly can't beat that. Rons has a great small diner atmosphere with servers that you just tend to connect with. We have been coming to this Ron's since it opened in 1996. I like Ron's, but this is, by far, my favorite location. That is until today. In 20+ years, this is the first time we have gotten horrible service. And the service was bad enough we walked out, and we will probably go back to the Ron's at the Farm if it is still there. First of all, it was not that busy, and they still had quite a few tables open. We've been there numerous times where we had to wait in line for a table. Today, we waited about 2 minutes to be acknowledged and directed to a table. I only noticed two waitresses and full kitchen staff. However, it wasn't so crowded that two waitresses couldn't handle it. I've seen one waitress handle the same amount of full tables. There was one waitress per side of the restaurant. After sitting there for 20 minutes, we got up and walked out. The waitress on our side of the room was too busy devoting her time to the two guys in the corner booth. She walked by us several times and not once acknowledged us after she told us where to sit. No drink order, no food order, nothing. She never even said, "I'll be right with you." It was as if we were invisible. Plus, we were the only ones on her side that had not already been waited on, so it wasn't as if she was too busy. As I said, we are so disappointed with this location after one bad experience that we will start going to a different location. We probably wouldn't feel that way if we hadn't been completely ignored, and she had at least stopped and said something. Ron's in the Farm Shopping Center is an excellent second choice, and after today, I would not recommend the one in Broken Arrow. Sorry Ron's BA, you lost a long time customer today. read more

A guilty pleasure of mine, for sure! I know this place is known best for their burgers, but I always get the 1/2 chili cheese fries with Spanish onions when I go. Why? Because they give you this massive mound of fries absolutely covered with their amazing chili, shredded pepper jack chese and these really long onions that are almost like noodles. It's amazing, and I can't not get this every time we go. I have tried a lot of things over the years off of my families' plates though, and i can tell you...anything fried is amazing, of course. Anything with cheese is fantastic. Anything with the word "burger" is incredible from their hamburger steaks, chili cheeseburgers to their Ron's special which is a blend of sausage and beef. The only down side here is sometimes the service has been hit or miss. On our last visit we sat in a booth and waited for a waitress, because it was less busy on this side...the waitress sat down at another table with customers and chatted, then checked her phone for a while and did not help any of the other tables in her area, so we got up and went to the other waitresses section which was FULL, and we were taken care of right away. I love Ron's but this location in BA ... might not come back. Server was very efficient on getting our food and drink but but so far when we have been here for 20 minutes and no food. It is not busy at all. The Ron's at 71st and Garnett at least brings out our bacon cheesetots before our meal (we asked if we could have it before our meal) which takes about 3- 5 minutes to come out then our food a Max of 10 more minutes. I love this place. It is one of those guilty pleasures. I would say most of the locations taste the same, I've even been to 2 locations in OKC, but this one seems to be the one I like the best. Everything from burgers to chili 3-ways to frito chili pie, all are awesome. I try to get something with their chili on it. They have a chili-cheese burger where they take a burger (bun and all) and pour chili over it, there's no way to eat it without a fork. For burgers, it may be a little expensive, but the portions are insane. I usually end up with leftovers or need to be fork-lifted out. This is the only chili I will eat. I prefer it without beans. The cheese is really good also, for some reason I seem to recall along time ago they had pepper jack shredded cheese with the chili as the norm. Had a burger for the first time yesterday. It was pretty good but I'll stick with the chili. Also the small side salad is a decent size for $1.25. Its romaine lettuce, none of that iceberg or shredded iceberg crap. I've had bad experiences at other Ron's locations. I believe they are individually owned. Yes it's kind of a greasy spoon type place, but the food is really good. The chili was bomb! My okra was perfect and the prices were fair. We always leave stuffed. We called in an order. 1st problem The young lady on the phone was rude and not at all helpful. 2nd The fries were cold and the burger still partially raw. 3rd Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay over priced for the quality. $23 for a burger 2 orders of fries and 2 sodas. 4th the gal at the register (who also was the rude one on the phone) asked if i needed forks and ketchup, yes I do.
