We came here for our best friends baby shower on April 11th. Limoncello was good between all the decorations being part of the celebration, food was good, the bar was constantly busy and the servers checked in frequently to see if anyone needed anything. We saw a couple of celebrations were happening at the same time. It was good to experience the space you are in without it being a distraction from another celebration. To start, they bring out complimentary fresh Italian bread with sesame seeds and a fresh tomato focaccia on crostinis--such a delicious touch and the perfect way to begin the meal. Three stars for the great service. It would have been lower if judging the food alone. Our server (and her assistant whom she was training) was superb. When I asked for a Sauvignon blanc from a recently opened bottle, she offered to open a new bottle. Both women were very personable. The wine pours are generous. Unfortunately my pasta was not what I would expect from an Italian restaurant. My sacchetti were all glued together. I actually had to cut them to separate them so I could eat them. This was unpleasant and really unacceptable. The flavor was not bad. My Caesar salad was bland. The place is very pretty but my friend and I agreed we probably won't return. We went to Limoncello on an early Saturday evening in December to celebrate my stepson's birthday. This was our first time here and what stands out is that the restaurant is decorated beautifully, especially now for Christmas. Surprisingly, we were seated in the outdoor area. It was fine since there were heaters, but inside looked like a nicer atmosphere. We all enjoyed our food and wine. We had appetizers of Maria's Meatballs and Arancini. I definitely preferred the Arancini which was fried risotto balls stuffed with mozzarella and peas. Our entrees ranged from my Veal Limoncello to my stepson's Filet Mignon. He loved his steak, I thought my veal was good. All in all, I'd say the food here was okay, but the seating and the service could have been better. read more

We knew that they did BYOB with no corkage fee on a Sunday but what we didn't know was that they even had a happy hour menu that runs 4 to 6 Sunday through Friday. The food and portions were outstanding even from the happy hour menu had our favorite pear & porchittie raviolis, some spinachraviolis, and the Grigiolla De peche. We rolled into Limoncello after being outdoors at a con, in the heat, fairly close to their closing time. (Like 2 hours out, we're not heathens!) We were overheated, tired, and probably a little underdressed, but the restaurant welcomed us and sat my party of 4 at a lovely table in one of their dining rooms. Limoncello is a beautiful place in the middle of a strip mall. It shouldn't be as nice as it is. But we pulled in based on their hours and nearness to pur hotel. We couldn't have been hapo8er with our experience. Then service was knowledgeable a d attentive. Our glasses a d bread basket were refilled. We enjoyed the bruschetta brought to our table. My husband had shrimp and crab fra diavolo. It was spicy enough and a perfect portion, with generous seafood. Our friend had the Pescatore and it was a very large portion with a lot of each of the various included seafood items. I had Chicken Limoncello, which was an amazing combination of Chicken Francese and Chesapeake and I absolutely loved it. I cleaned my plate. I forget what my son had. I highly recommend Limoncello. Listen, I'm a foodie. I was brought up on not good food, but excellent food! This place was amazing. It was one of the best meals I've had in a long time. Let's start with the appetizer. I had the friend calamari. Usually when I like something, I'm not going to share. Given I was with my parents and siblings and grew up eating fish probably 3 nights a week until I was 12, I decided to share it. Literally the best I've had outside of San Francisco. For dinner I had the Pear & Cheese Saccheti. OMG!!!! Gorgeous pasta stuffed with absolute deliciousness! Total Bussin! Amanda was our waitress and she was AMAZING! My family is not always the easiest. I've been dreaming about those perfect pillows of deliciousness and writing this review, my mouth is watering. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I ordered their 16‑inch Meatball Pizza and it was absolutely outstanding. This place instantly became my new go‑to for pizza. The pie was loaded with meatballs, topped with rich Grande mozzarella, and hit that perfect balance of sauce and seasoning that's so hard to find. This is our favorite Italian restaurant in/around Chester County. I have gotten their pasta before including a branzino over angel hair, alla vodka, and other seafood variations. We always get greeted with helpful staff and are welcomed with complimentary fresh bread and bruschetta (my favorite). The seafood here is done well and probably what I enjoy the most. We love the clams oreganato for our appetizer. For desserts, I love the mousse; it is a bit decadent and hefty after a full meal. Our waiter recently was very attentive and was able to answer questions about the specials, and offered us more bread/bruschetta without us asking which I thought was very generous. Ambiance is nice, nothing out of the ordinary or special. Includes a bar and private dining rooms, and an outdoor terrace. Overall: Great food and service. The tables the software and flowers and glassware were lovely. Lighting was awesome. Servers were great always bringing drinks and clearing tables of dishes! The food was outstanding! There was eggplant rolatini, pear ricotta sachets in Alfredo sauce, spinach lasagna , chicken fricase, salad rolls extradinarily delicious! Really out of this world was the pear ricotta entre. Nestled snugly into a corner of the Lionsville Shopping Center, Limoncello opened its doors a little over a decade ago - and has been packing them in ever since. The younger sibling of the restaurant of the same name in West Chester, both establishments are owned and operated by members of the Mingrino family. The cuisine remains solidly and unapologetically southern Italian, comfortingly familiar and very good, indeed... And from the moment the complimentary Bruschetta (pictured) hits the table, you know you're in good hands. The bread is properly crunchy, yielding a satisfying "bite" without causing any possible permanent damage to your outrageously expensive dental work; the olive oil, diced tomatoes, and onions are properly proportioned, which is to say not so generous as to dislodge from their perch and land unceremoniously in your lap; and the seasonings - especially the garlic - are just right. When contemplating your luncheon/dinner order, please keep one factor firmly in mind: Entrée portions here tend to run on the humongous side (and I do not exaggerate; please note the photograph below). So, unless you happen to have the peristaltic capacity of a starving yak, appetizers - which are also quite generous - will be entirely superfluous (and doggie bags something of a necessity). On the other hand, if you simply must have a starter - I would highly recommend - as my dining partner and I did recently - sharing a Caesar Salad. The Caesar is especially good here, and the chef will be happy to halve your order before it leaves the kitchen (pictured). Pastas run the gamut... from the sublime simplicity of Spaghetti & Meatballs adorned with South Philly Sunday sauce... to Lobster Ravioli... to the strikingly innovative Pear & Cheese Sacchetti, sweet pear & ricotta stuffed pasta purses with mascarpone cream & toasted pistachios. Likewise, entrées proper traverse a similarly intriguing culinary terrain... A marvelous rendition of one of my favorite dishes, Veal Saltimbocca... a delightfully delicate Branzino Scampi, companioned by shrimp and kissed by a white wine lemon butter sauce... and a restaurant favorite, Chicken Messina pictured). The parmesan-crusted chicken breast is stuffed with asparagus, Prosciutto di Parma, and fresh mozzarella, consummated with caprese cream sauce, mixed mushrooms & pancetta, and served up with a generous tangle of linguine. Not terribly photogenic, but the various elements work very well together - the chicken is perfectly moist, and that irresistible caprese cream will keep you coming back for more. Definitely worth the price of admission. On this most recent visit, however, my dining partner and I initially decided upon the very same entrée: Eggplant Parmigiana, which both of us had enjoyed on previous occasions. But once she spotted the fact that Eggplant Parm could also be ordered as a flatbread... that sealed the deal. For while the Eggplant Parmigiana, like the above-mentioned Chicken Messina, wasn't exactly a unique photo opportunity, the flatbread version was a totally different story. Beautifully adorned with splashes of tomato sauce, fried eggplant, mozzarella, Parmigiano Reggiano, basil, and rosettes of Grand Ricotta, the presentation was a delightful feast for the eye as well as the palate (pictured). Plenteous entrée portions notwithstanding, desserts are certainly worth saving room for. There are - but of course - many of the usual suspects: Chocolate Soufflé, Crème Brûlée, Cannoli, and Tiramisù. However, if you are something of a dessert fanatic, take my advice: Go for the gold. Which means, when they are available, Bananas Foster Cheesecake, creamy New York-style cheesecake topped with caramel drizzle; and, a personal fave, the Chocolate Peanut Butter Ganache (pictured), homemade velvet chocolate cake filled with creamy peanut butter mousse and a rich icing of semi-sweet chocolate & whipped cream. Despite my obsession with the chocolate peanut butter combo, however, the real star of the show here is undoubtedly the incredibly wicked Limoncello Cake (pictured). The rich, buttery cake is splashed with - you guessed it - limoncello liqueur, filled with chunks of white chocolate, consummated with a limoncello glaze, and topped with a dollop of vanilla ice cream... Don't even think about the calories! Oh, by the way... the the mixologist here is quite adept, as my dining partner's Cosmo and my Negroni were both prepared to perfection. My very generous in-laws treated my husband and I to our celebratory birthday dinners after the holidays. We went on a very cold night to Limoncello and were welcomed immediately. The restaurant was hopping busy and we were surprised since the winter cold did not deter diners from going there. Our service by Ray was impeccable as he reviewed the specials, offered playful banter throughout our decision process, and got our food to us in a timely manner. The insalata with the house dressing was delicious and I could tell that the olive oil was high quality. I ordered the Branzino scampi and was delighted by the cooking technique of the fish and the expert preparation of the capellini. The rest of our meals at the table were equally delicious. Went here for a quick lunch. I had the INsalata Caesar and a 12" Frank's Favorite (tomato sauce, mozzarella, sweet sausage, grilled onions, and chopped longhots). The pizza was flavorful. The long hots were spicier than I expected and I had to take them off. My companion had the Seafood alla Vodka which she always gets. The place was jumping for lunch. Evidently, lots of people like having lunch here. Despite most of the tables being filled, the noise level was acceptable. Lauren made sure to take good care of us. She kept an eye on our table to make sure that all of needs were handled. We tried the Candy Lemon for dessert. It was a humongous candy coated cream filled dessert in the shape of a lemon. The ambiance of the patio was so welcoming, just a beautiful setting, lovely flowers, and fairy lights, and the spacing of tables in this large patio area was perfect!! Well thought out. Wonderful family owned business, and outstanding Italian cuisine that perfectly blends the traditional with modern twists. I have been a fan but for years, but my recent experience was so outstanding, I wanted to take the time to give a review. As a vegetarian, there are quite a few menu options, especially their pizza, which, for me, is the best in all of Chester County. However, even though the majority of entrees aren't vegetarian, the wait staff, chefs, and owners go out of their way to accommodate special requests whenever possible. It was an overall enjoyable first visit to Limoncello. We made reservations so seating was prompt, and the food was great. For some reason, we were placed at the very back of the restaurant near the kitchens even though there appeared to be more seating available closer to the front, but it worked out as it was quieter in the back, even if the lighting wasn't that great. Our server was very attentive, and food arrived fairly quickly. It tasted pretty great, but it was definitely on the salty side. My mushrooms were especially over-salted so I couldn't finish them. The complimentary limoncello chasers at the end were a nice surprise, but not for the faint of heart! If you're feeling generous with your wallet, I recommend this place!
