Pulled pork on a pretzel bun with tomato soup
    Dennis P.

We went back to the White Dog for a late lunch and as expected it was delicious. I had the special, prime rib sliders and they were very tasty. My wife had the pulled pork on a pretzel bun which was very good. Drinks were good and the wine, which was a local brew was great. Staff was very attentive with water refills and just checking in with us. The weather was not great so we ate inside for the first time and had to say the place is well appointed with dog pictures, a large bar and a lot of wood. The only disappointment was the fact that they charge to use a credit card like it's COVID

The ambiance was great. Bloody mary was also good. However, the food was a letdown. My eggs benedict was so dry and tasteless, my son's pulled pork sandwich was weird that he only ate 10% of it. Hubby got their biscuits and gravy and other son ordered their churro waffles. Decent prices for brunch, won't be back though.

Went back and wanted to update! We had a much better experience service wise. We came for brunch this time and even with a large group our orders all came correctly. Our server Sarah was great and the food was tasty. I do still think it is a little pricy for what you are getting but it is a nice place and good for groups. I have to say the worst part is still the parking lot, it is confusing, people whip in and out and it is a bit dangerous, so just be careful and aware. It is tight.

White Dog cafe is a classic for me! It's one of my brunch staples but their dinner is also very reliable! I ALWAYS get the Kenneth square mushroom soup. It's the best (and possibly only) mushroom soup I enjoy with local mushrooms. The Hawaiian rolls were not my favorite. They were too hard and it didn't come with nearly enough butter. I could've passed on those. But it came with pickles that were amazing. I really enjoyed the pierogis but would have preferred a more traditional version whereas this one seemed fried. The founder was absolutely stand out. I ate every last drop. We also had really good service and they were very accommodating. I will note that there is a credit card fee at this location. You can avoid it by paying cash or with debit. The overall aesthetic reminds me of a cerebral library and has a dark cool decor. You. An be casual or dressy and be comfortable

We had a wonderful time here at the white dog cafe. I absolutely loved the pirogies! I actually found them to be quite filling even as an appetizer and the flavors were spot on. We also had the peach rice pudding and it was delicious! The perfect way to end our meal so sweet and refreshing. Service was fast, very cute but chic interior too!

Love the historical significance of this place!

The service was amazing. Seated right away even though my reservation was 30 minutes later. We loved our cocktails. Food came out quickly and was beautifully prepared and plated. A very festive, cozy atmosphere and we were glad we'd made the drive. Pricey but delicious.

I've been doing a number of the white dog establishments. I have to say out of all of them. This new location is what I would consider their flagship the ambience is outstanding, and the food selection at least at happy hour was very good. The drinks were well-made and tasty. The service was pretty good even though it was crowded. It regular places you're gonna pay a bit more, but if the food selection for happy hour is any indication, this location has a very good chef.

Food is eccentric and not very good, seems like they are trying to twist basic great recipes. Go back to basics.

Limited over-priced menu. The place is nice inside and service was good. I suggest the Happy Hour where prices are reasonable.

I'm so tired of the fake k-pot style bbq....I've eaten authentic Korean BBQ in KOREA, in Vegas, my mom's house ;), NYC Koreatown, Annandale/Northern VA, and plenty of other places over the years, so I'm probably a little harder to impress than most when it comes to Korean food. That said -- this place in Exton is legit. I drive about 40 minutes just to come here, and there are plenty of restaurants much closer to me. That alone probably says enough. The meat is consistently fresh and good quality, the banchan actually tastes like Korean banchan should, and the whole meal just feels authentic rather than some watered-down version of Korean BBQ made for people who have never had the real thing. The flavors, marinades, side dishes and overall experience remind me of the Korean food I grew up eating and the places I've eaten at in Korea. That's hard to find around the Philly suburbs. Open late like good kbbq spots are supposed to, good drinks, not fancy, but authentic. What brings me back to my childhood - stainless steel thin metal bowls, cups, water out of a jug, absolutely nail the combination of quality, authenticity, and price. There is a reason I'll drive 40 minutes each way when I'm craving Korean BBQ instead of just picking somewhere closer. If you know Korean food, you'll appreciate this place. If you don't know Korean food yet, this is a pretty damn good place to start.

Everybody loves (and should love) an outdoor beergarden with occasional live music, good sports, and a wide selection of drinks and menu items for all...BUT this is one of those microcosm places for the downfall of restaurant dining in the modern age: 1) The beer selection is ungodly expensive. $8 for a can of beer? Woof. Bonus points, however, given for Eagles games prices and the addition of some Stables-specific beers (pale ale and another). 2) You really have to review your check. Recently had an experience where my son ordered a burger from the kids menu, then asks him, "For you side, do you want chips or fries?" He answers fries. A few moments later, there's a plate with the burger and chips along with a side plate of fries. I highlight that he asked for fries and they still brought chips and if that's an issue. Server shares that the kitchen likes to still give out chips even if the side is changed since the chips are specially made (and tasty!). The sad part: the server never says that selecting fries is an upcharge. There's nothing on the menu that says fries are an upcharge. But when my son answers the question "would you like chips or fries?" it is assumed that means it's a selection at the same price. It's not. One more thing: they charged more money for a local beer than what was listed. When brought to their attention, the initial server was very understanding and the manager rectified it on the check.
