Sead is a true craftsman! We wanted to have custom-made, bi-fold doors and door jambs installed in two brick archways in our home. Before we ordered the doors, we asked Sead to come and assess the archways to determine whether or not he could do the job. He also listened to our needs and expectations and discussed with us whether these doors and jambs would be practical as well as beautiful. The archways had been handmade and, as such, were not perfectly symmetrical. Sead evaluated the job and determined that he could do the work and produce a beautiful result. Sead and his staff fabricated custom door jambs on site (to include enclosing the top of the arch) and then installed the custom-made doors perfectly; the doors open and close with a satisfying click. I was listening to Sead problem-solve the unique challenges presented by this installation with his son, Alan. Sead sets a very high standard for what he considers to be acceptable work. He then has the skill to meet his own standards even with challenging installations. This sets Sead apart from other installers who can really only do cookie-cutter jobs. My first experience with this company was when I called with an emergency - my son had broken the window in his bedroom. The owner came out that very day and patched things up so that they were safe. He guided me through the various options and then did a great job of installing the window we chose (and I had him to another bedroom as well). We were so pleased with the job (and the price) that we called again about a year later to have the windows replaced in our kitchen. The old ones were awful and drafty. Again we were very pleased with the installation which included a nice bay window above the kitchen sink. About a year later we decided to replace the windows in our living room and dining room. We checked other bids, but East Bay Door and Windows had the best price. Again, the job was professional, timely and well executed. Our living room has a high ceiling with three triangular shaped windows near the top, and even these look fantastic. I would highly recommend this company without hesitation. Saed and his crew just replaced three sliding patio doors for me and I can't say enough about the great job they did. They were very reasonable, efficient, professional and hardworking. Saed is a real perfectionist - a huge contrast to Renewal by Anderson who replaced several windows for me a year ago. Saed is also very upbeat with a can-do attitude. The guys from Dolans who delivered the three Anderson sliders hurt their backs just putting them in my garage and had to call extra guys to come help them. I warned Saed about how heavy the doors were and worried about how they would carry them all the way to the back of my house. The first guy we called didn't even come out to take a look at the job when we said there were two second story windows at a condo complex. Sead Osmancevic came out, said it would be no problem, and gave us great advice about the permitting process. Once we obtained the permit and had the windows on site, Sead did the installation within three days, we passed inspection, and he came out one day later to finish reinstalling the exterior trim. If there were only more stars, I would give them to Saed because he is as good as it gets. After interviewing half a dozen carpenter/installers I had almost given up hope but patience and a year's time produced a talented craftsman, cost conscious and full of integrity. How good is that? My job, to order and install two huge sets of french doors in a 90+ year old Maybeck with settling problems and a cracked slab (right down the middle of the front doors) was the job from hell. Saed didn't complain, instead he came up with a plan to install doors that would eliminate the draft and make them operational. Both sets had their own set of problems, and in a timely, cost effective manner, he worked with me to make it happen. He's all about improvising and I suspect most carpenters would have taken a walk. We just got our front and back doors replaced by Sead. He came to our house, took measurements, and told us to contact him again once our doors arrived. With our old house and odd sizing we needed assistance while ordering the doors at the store. Luckily he was readily available on his cell right when we needed him. Once the doors arrived he scheduled the installation at our earliest convenience, which was a Saturday. He showed up with his helper bright and early. They did and excellent, clean job. He is very knowledgeable and readily deals with all the problems that are sure to come up, in our case, one door opening had to be substantially reduced, the other was crooked and one side of the wall was strangely thicker than the other. He worked around these issues. He was careful and able to save our trim in the leaving room. A week later we called him because the back door seemed a bit too tight, hard to lock. He came readily on a Sunday and loosened the door just a notch for us, free of charge. We would definitely recommend his company and work with him again. read more
