I was actually excited after meeting with Roof It Forward. They knocked on our door, spent over an hour walking me through the entire process, and were incredibly convincing and personable. They even helped me call my insurance and assured me they would be present for the inspection. I confirmed again via text the day before, and they reassured me they would be there. On the day of the inspection, they were a complete no show. I called the office and was told that either David or the representative I spoke with would call me back within ten minutes. An hour later, after hearing nothing, I called back to follow up. Not only did no one show up, but no one returned my call either. I eventually received a call back a week and a half later, which I chose not to answer or return. At that point, it was simply too late. I am now working with another company that has followed through on every promise they made. read more

Rude and unprofessional. I applied for a job and was told I would be a fit and moved forward. They had me waiting an hour past schedule appointment, when I called I was told they would call me in a hour after their meeting. Instead they send me a text saying they're going in a different directions even though I was a good fit. When I asked why they never responded. Wasted two hours of my time waiting on them. If this is how they treat their future prospects then I can't imagine how they treat their employees and customers when being held accountable. Do not work here or hire them. read more

Neighbors, I want to share our experience with Roof It Forward so no one else goes through this. My mother hired Roof It Forward to replace our roof in August 2021 via her insurance. Three years later, Roof It Forward was called to make a repair. They said our problem was due to missing flashing--something they had expressly stated would be removed and replaced in the original 2021 scope of work. Not knowing, we arranged to have them replace the flashing at our expense. On the scheduled day, Roof It Forward never showed. Instead, they came the following day--when they expected us not to be home. We witnessed them on-site for only five minutes, supposedly completing all of the following: Remove shingles from the area if needed Correct flashing issues against the chimney Seal areas of possible water penetration Install ice and water barrier as needed Re-shingle around the chimney I texted them immediately to ask if they were returning to finish the job. No response. Days later, I received an invoice--dated August 21, 2024--for work that was not done. Despite my calls, emails, and letters, they never addressed it. Instead, on October 8, 2024, they doubled down with a letter claiming all work was completed. Continued water intrusion proved otherwise. Another roofer later confirmed the repair had not been made. In fact, under Georgia law, O.C.G.A. §9-3-24: workmanship is covered for six years under any signed contract, regardless of a shorter "warranty." Since this flashing replacement should have been included in the 2021 insurance scope, charging us again may even constitute insurance fraud. When I refused to pay half the invoice for work not done, Justin Dover, Roof It Forward's CIO, filed a lien against me--a non-homeowner--on January 27, 2025. That lien came more than 90 days after they claimed the work ended, making it untimely and fraudulent. Their own invoices and letters contradict the lien, and when asked directly to state the repair date, neither they nor their attorney Matthew Wilkinson will answer--because any answer exposes the truth. If the work ended August 16, 2024, the January 27, 2025 lien is invalid and knowingly false. If the work ended January 27, 2025, then Roof It Forward and Derek Harrington invoiced for work never performed, per the August 21, 2024 invoice and October 8, 2024 letter from billing staffer Sandy Sisson. Filing a knowingly false lien is not just unethical--it is an abuse of the legal system. Homeowners and non-homeowners alike deserve protection from this kind of intimidation. What I find most disturbing is that one of Roof It Forward's affiliated charities claims to stand for women's protection and safety. Yet this same company filed a lien asserting they performed roof work at our home without our knowledge, permission, or request--five months after they themselves said the work was complete. For a company that publicly promotes women's safety to simultaneously intimidate women in this way is deeply hypocritical and alarming. My family is pursuing this in court, but I want others to be aware: tactics like this can put your property title at risk and cause needless stress. I had my roof replaced in 2022. It took a couple of years, but I found out that the flashing around the furnace stack was not sealed. This is the same problem I had with a previous roofing company in 1998. Three years after that roof was replaced, that roofing company came out and sealed around the stack and the problem was solved. However, with ARAC Roof it Forward, after only 3 years they said that I don't have a warranty. My insurance had paid for the roof, and you would think that they would have a warranty with an insurance repair, but NOOOOOO. I'm not going to recommend them to anyone! read more

Do not do business with this company!!! They will outright try to rip you off. After Helene, I thought I might have a little damage done to my roof. When the service rep came to my house, she was on the roof all the for maybe 10 minutes. me a brief video that showed three pieces of flashing that needed to be replaced. Grateful that I had not suffered any real damage from the storm, I asked her how much she thought it would cost to fix the flashing. I figured it couldn't be very much, after was only three small strips of aluminum. With a straight face, this woman told me it would $1500!!! That is a ridiculous amount to ask for what would take maybe five minutes to complete using less than $10 worth of material. Extremely untrustworthy luckily I recorded and took video evidence. Take a video of every conversation and project.. Roof needed new shingles roof had a dip. Derek Harrington, unfortunately stayed in his car the whole time instead of overseeing the crew. By the time the project was done. The dip wasn't fixed, although they had a board laying on the ground that could've been used. Derek promised me he would send somebody back to fix it. I had to call him and message him repeatedly never got a call back. I get a call from Justin Dover explaining that they're sending somebody over to go in my attic to push the beams up to fix the dip however attic has good bones and wasn't the problem.Guy came said there was nothing wrong with the Attic couldn't do anything Dover got extremely angry and claimed that that is not what his guy said even though I have video evidence .Dover sends out a third gentleman on a third visit guy goes in the attic assesses that the problem cannot be fixed through the attic but tries pushing on beams but that Doesn't work because the beans in the attic are solid. Roof replaced by this company 7 months ago. Now I have two leaks. Promised comprehensive repairs around the vent pipes. I've left voice mail messages, sent text messages with pictures of the internal water intrusion to the ceiling of my family room. It's been two weeks and no reply from Joey Fye, ARAC's "warranty manager". Clearly at this point all repairs are under warranty. Do not recommend due to rude and unprofessional management, specifically Justin. The roofing teams however were kind, prompt and courteous so he could learn a lesson or two from them. While discussing a potential warranty issue, Justin was extremely unprofessional and ended our conversation by hanging up and telling me to never call him again. I regret at this time using this company and also referring my family member who also used this company for a new roof. Roof it Forward installed our new roof 5 years ago. 2 years ago the roof started leaking and they came out and repaired the leak site and hired remediation for the water damage for us. Justin reminded us of this "favor" they provided and said they shouldn't have done this for us. This "leader" who never even came to my house to investigate blamed the new leak (in the same place as last time by the way) on our gutters even though the leak is originating a couple feet above the gutters. Justin with ARAC, Roof it Forward is claiming my pictures are "fake," "fraudulent," "deception" and of other houses! Why would I submit and post fake and fraudulent pictures? The resolution is beyond simple. Why not do what I have been asking months for and send someone from ARAC, Roof it Forward to meet with me and VALIDATE the pictures and areas of concern? Also, Justin is stating that the misalignments with the flue exhaust pipes coming out of the roof is not something they did! The inspector clearly explained that the roofer in replacing the shingles around the exhaust pipes needs to make sure they are correctly aligned and not become a fire hazard before nailing down the new shingles. Also, Justin is stating that "the non-recoverable depreciation was a huge conversation in her house before we started work. We were very clear this would be an out-of-pocket expense and she agreed to it." First of all, Justin was not there! Second, as evidenced by the refused 1st contact and the 2nd signed contract, I DID NOT agree to pay the non-recoverable depreciation and Mike and Nathan agreed to "absorb" it. Called roof it forward out for a flashing repair and roof inspection. The sales technician told me I needed a replacement ASAP. I called another company for an inspection and the repair. They told me I had 5 to 10 years left on my roof. I had my roof reinspected, two years later, and was again told I had 3 to 5 years or more. They put asphalt shingles on rotted wood that was supposed to have been replaced per our contract. They were advised the decking on the roof was mostly rotted and compromised. They went through my living room ceiling from the decking being rotted and its going on 3 weeks it has not been repaired. They did not cut the decking for the ridge vents they installed. So now I have no air flow from my attic. When they tried to cut the decking was so rotted they just stopped and put the ridge vents on. The soffit and fascia is not completed and it's completely messed up. They never installed a gutter apron per the contract. The workers broke my spigot to my house and never told me until I tried to turn on my water to my house. They turned off the main valve to stop the water from flowing. They left nails, rot wood and debris all over my yard. I had to dig up all my plants they ruined from their ladders and walking on them with no care. The city has not closed out the permit due to them not replacing rotted wood and the ridge vents, etc. They disapproved it and fined them. They will not return my emails, calls, or texts. I am left with a rotted roof that has NO ventilation. I am a Disabled Retired Law Enforcement Officer with a terminal lung disease. I should not be breathing in the attic insulation from the ceiling not repaired and the rotted compromised wood. Their workers drank Heineken on the job and left the beer caps and bottles in my yard and I saw the cases of beer in my trash can and took a picture. Please STAY away from this company. They do not care about their customers. They care about a quick job in and out. This company has put so much stress on my body, mind and spirit. I now have to make complaints to the other proper agencies to let them know how they put asphalt shingles on a rotted roof with ridge vents without cutting the deck for proper ventilation. In November of 2020, a tree hit my mother's house and damaged the roof and siding. She contacted Roof It Forward to repair the damage. In the original estimate, the list of services she hired Roof It Forward for included: 1. Taping 2. Tree damage repair 3. Siding (replacement) aluminum 4. Paint interior damage In addition to the original estimate, my mother added an air conditioning cover, since it was also damaged. Roof It Forward completed the taping work (a temporary tarp was used on her roof) and tree damage repair (shingles were replaced), and the interior damage to the paint was repaired. But the siding was never replaced. My mother called Roof It Forward numerous times, hoping to speak to Justin Dover, the CIO, or the manager, John Immke, and ask for the siding to be replaced. In July of 2021, she called Justin Dover one last time, asking for Roof It Forward to replace the siding by September. She was told that she would get a call back to answer her questions. Over a year later, she received zero phone calls. Instead, she has been harassed with text messages and emails for months, and she is repeatedly sent bills for work that was never completed. Finally, on 9/21/22, my mother received a text from Justin Dover, saying that he was filing a lien on her property the following Monday. That is when she got me involved. I reviewed the paperwork and confirmed that the work was never completed. I asked for a corrected and revised bill, so that we could immediately pay, and he agreed to do so instead of filing the lien (on the condition that we pay what was owed). After some time had passed with no updates, I asked for the bill again... and again, and again. It took many phone calls, emails, and finally a notice that we were filing a complaint with the BBB and local authorities for them to finally send a revised invoice on 10/17/22. That week, however, Justin Dover notified us that he had gone ahead and filed the lien anyway -- prior to the deadline he gave us -- quoting the higher bill and the work they never finished. Even though the company later admitted that the bill repeatedly being sent was incorrect. As of 10/20/22, I've asked for proof in writing that the revised bill is the final bill and represents all of the true work that has been done so that we can finally pay and then never contact this company again. I also want the lien to be immediately removed. I cannot recommend this business to anyone, especially to anyone senior or who speaks English as a second language. It is my belief that this company attempted to defraud my mother since she's elderly and does not speak English well: an easy target for them. The sellers of our current home had ARAC Roof it Forward replace the roof right as the home was being sold to us three years ago. It's been leaking. The primary bedroom walls and carpet were wet! Drywall was bubbling. I called them during this huge Georgia downpour and their office never called me back. After numerous calls, I finally spoke with Justin. Before I could get out the reason for my call, he began yelling at me and got extremely aggressive since he sensed as to why I was calling! I immediately put a stop to his behavior. Once I explained my situation, he began to point fingers at everyone and everything as to why it was leaking. The only information he offered was to inform me that the warranty was negated once the home sold. REALLY???!!!He blamed the leak on my gutters without ever seeing them. This was a horrendous experience. After getting nowhere with Justin, I called two other roofers who immediately came out and inspected my roof. Both companies told me the exact same thing!!! The improper flashing was improperly installed in the area of the leak and the shingles were not aligned to industry standards. In short, ARAC Roof it Forward did a shoddy job and won't take responsibility for any of it! They are FRAUDULENT! Justin would like you to believe that I'm complaining about the lack of warranty. This couldn't be further from the truth. My complaint is that they won't acknowledge that they did a bad job, using the wrong materials with less technique than industry standards. I set up an appointment with this company about 3 weeks ago to diagnose a small leak I had in my roof. The lady who took down my information over the phone was very friendly and seemed to appreciate my call. A couple of days later someone came by and took a look at the leak. He was also very professional. He later would email me the quote to fix. I thanked him for the quote and let him know in a week or so. After no luck in getting anyone else on the phone, I emailed him back and said I would like to have the work done but had some questions about the work being done. After 3 days, I got no response so I called him and of course it went to voicemail. So I left him a message saying I agreed with the quote but had some questions before proceeding. That call was 3 days ago and still no reply. The email has still gone unanswered as well. I feel like I'm literally begging these people to take my money, but apparently they don't want my business since I didn't sign the quote right away. Based on the other less than stellar reviews here, it seems it may be a good thing they have been ignoring me. Our initial new roof experience (Summer 2019) went really well, but things went downhill fast after this company had to come out to inspect a leak. During the inspection, workers utilized a sealant which ended up dripping down the sides of our roof leaving unsightly streaks. We were told the streaks would go away with time; however, 2 months passed and the streaks are very much still as visible as they've always been. I reached out to Wes Phillips and was told that a worker would come out to inspect and correct on Sat (10/17). No one ever did. There was also zero communication regarding the worker's absence. On Saturday evening when I realized that no one was coming, I reached out again and I still haven't heard back. Horrible customer service experience. Our 13 building condo community use roof it forward in December 2017. I wish our property management would have shopped around to get a few bids and did more research. Our property management company used them based on their rave reviews without getting any other bids. Casey the rep seem very knowledgeable and friendly. After they got the job, we begin to question the choice to use them. Their contractor did not protect the building, we have paint scrapings and broken windows. One of the contractors urinated on the property. We could not ask questions because no one on job site spoke english. They left debris all over the job site daily. We noticed they seem to be throwing the roofs up fairly quick, so we were concerned with the quality of work. After the install, we had leaks we didn't have prior. We found out that the areas of concerns were not in the contract. Why would an expert roofer install a roof without including all things that would prevent leaks. Do research. After all the complaints one of his contractor told us that they subcontract the job. Make sure your contract includes vent pipes, flashing and chimney. Make sure they are actually replacing rotten wood. We now have to go back to try to pay for all those things after an expensive roof job. Update: the owner or rep made a defensive rebuttal that does not apply to our condo complex after this review. We are not in Duluth. Therefore they clearly have several complaints on the plate not just ours. We had several complaints of roof leaks not just one after they installed their roofing. Homeowners Beware!!! read more

Only good thing I can say is "they were fast." Their crew stole from me, BROKE a wrought iron piece that was attached by not one but TWO 6" BOLTS set in CONCRETE. Not only did they break it but the ripped it out of the wall !!! They left gutters unattached (which they EVENTUALLY fixed (2 weeks later). They left A HUGE mess in my attic and in my screened in porch(stlll picking up nails 5 weeks later). They have lied over and over and over about restitution for the iron piece - the old "checks in the mail" ploy as well as the fate of the crew. One Manager telling me "oh, they were fired and another - supposedly the General manager, "they were spoken to and pay docked." Oh!! and regarding the theft ???? another manager told me "Well, they are USED to people giving them things." SERIOUSLY ???? ARE YOU KIDDING ME????? The Lexan that was stolen (a 150.00 piece of equipment needed for my business) has still not been replaced, the check for the wrought iron piece must have been mailed from China, parts of the shingles are curling up in several places and they actually have the AUDACITY to want additional money. I should give them zero stars. After 4 years of leaks on different parts of the roof and damage to my home, I had to pay to have the roof done again. Guess what? We found rotten wood that had not been replaced. 1x8s that had not been nailed (wood warps and it damages the shingles), drip edge not installed, and step flashing not installed and the original one was left and was full of holes. Not only did they breach the warranty contract by not coming to inspect within 30 days the first time I reported a leak on a stairway hall, I endured over 8 crews coming over to "patch up" with caulk (a temporary fix), and the last straw, water leaked from the roof into a hanging light fixture on the entry hall. They came out, did NOT fix as stated by them and wanted to charge me $150 to send another crew again. I notified them of the leak again by the end of March 2021. They breached the contract again as nobody came to inspect or repair. Georgia law states they have 30 days to inspect and 14 more to repair. By now, they should have replaced the whole roof and paid for repairs to home damage. Check my complaint on the BBB and you'll see how they evaded everything and had my complaint closed after I agreed (and I have it in writing from them) to have them come to my house. They are "if you cannot win, bully them" but I already submitted a complaint to the FTC. Let's see if they can buy out the FTC.gov as well. read more

What a scam! I called these guys because I liked their idea of sending proceeds of their projects to charity. I had a very minor roof leak that that was easy to see and repair so I called them to look at it. I met the young kid that showed up to the appointment outside and he didn't even get to the front door before saying "you know you have a discontinued shingle, right?" So of course, he is starting his sales call to try and sell me a whole new roof. I told him that I was a former contractor and a understand the "you need a new roof scam" and not to pull that on me. The roof is only 10 years old. He then looked at the issue by getting on the roof and the said that "there is major damage and that it would cost $1100 to repair but that's probably close to your deductible so you might as well get a new roof." I asked him if he took pictures that he could show me and he said well, it was hard to see so I didn't take pictures but your shingles are falling off the roof in several areas. SCAM!!! They have no desire to do a minor repair. I called this guy our on this and he told me that I didn't need a roofing contractor but a Hispanic from The Home Depot parking lot. I sent him in his way and told him to send a realistic bid in if he would like to do the repair. I understand that they would send a laborer over, pay them $50 for 15 mins of work, I would be happy to pay 5 times that and everyone wins. He was never to be heard from again. These guys have NO desire to repair roofs, just replace them. They want to meet with your insurance agent, take the total amount they give you, pay off your deducible you and take the rest. They say "we will get you a free roof." They do this by vastly overcharging in the first place. You can build the roof by hiring a contractor yourself at 60% of that cost. These guys take the inflated insurance money, hand you your deductible and make off like bandits, doing nothing but making a few phone calls. They are overcharging and hiding behind a charity to do it. End result, I hired an honest contractor who did the repair in 15 mins and charged me $300. Not a drop of water since and the contractor was licensed and provided a warranty. He provided pictures and showed me that it was a very minor and easy repair yet I was happy to pay him for his honesty. These guys are your typical roofing scammers....a dime a dozen. We had these guys installed our roof, the work was excellent, the cost was a bit extreme, after the job communication and the job corrections was nonexistent, we noticed that they misaligned our furnace exhaust vent that emits carbon gas into my home, there were other minor things that need to be corrected. They have forgotten who we are after the bill was paid. I would not recommend this company to anyone, in fact buyer beware of these guys. read more

Awful experience. Tell everyone to stay away these salesmen. Do your research before sign a contract. They showed up early, no warning at 6 am, just started tearing off the roof in the dark. They trashed my yard with debris, damaged the deck and left more 100 + nails. We did not have any leak with the old roof until the first rain after the new roof installed. The crew came back used the caulk to seal it. ARAC denied any responsibilities and blamed for rotten wood. Back and forth emails they still left 30" water damaged on my ceiling. Neal Cook, sale representative doesn't care what happened. He doesn't even answer the email after the leak. We asked many times for an owner' contact. ARAC brings new salesman talked to you and doesn't want us to contact the owner. No one wants to take responsibilities for what they did. All they did threats a lean on my house. read more

I needed a new roof and got a few quotes, expecting to pay out-of-pocket. Roof it Forward inspected my roof and saw wind damage. My insurance company inspector agreed and even said that Roof it Forward was very honest with their assessment. The insurance covered all but the deductible and my premiums have not increased. Johnny and Stone couldn't have been easier to work with or more professional. They were courteous, responsive, and made the whole process very easy, from the initial inspection, to working with my insurance company, to selecting the new roof, to installation. The installation itself was amazingly fast. It was supposed to rain in the afternoon, so the crew showed up at 7am and had replaced the entire roof by about noon. I have the idea there are some shady companies in the roofing industry, but Roof it Forward was nothing but professional and I really appreciated that. I also appreciate that they donate a portion of their proceeds to charity (hence the name). I seldom leave reviews, but Johnny and Stone and Roof it Forward really earned this one. We have been needing a new roof for several years and have had a host of companies stop by to give us their opinion. But we never moved forward with any because there was always "something" that didn't seem right. Derrick at Roof it Forward was able to walk us thru a detailed repair plan, he was exceptionally knowledgeable about how our insurance carrier would interact with us and the timeline needed to move thru the various phases. He even helped us match the existing roof so that we wouldn't have issues with the HOA! As I'm sure all homeowners are aware, insurance issues you a payment but holds back a large portion called "depreciation". We got that initial payment relatively quickly after the adjuster's inspection. The crew arrived ready to work a few days later. They were really organized - everyone knew their job and got to it. What I found interesting is that this team communicated very well. When I had to leave to run an errand the Forman halted all work so that it would be safe for me to walk out. They took care to protect our plants and outside furniture. I knew there would be a chance that these things could be damaged but that is expected when debris has to be thrown from 20-30 feet above. Derrick was honest upfront that this was a risk. We were very fortunate to not have any damage. We just closed out our project with Roof It Forward and are extremely grateful for having the opportunity to work with a highly organized company. We are especially happy to know that their business model includes giving back to the community. Couldn't ask for a better experience! read more

Rick Auffenberg with Roof it Forward just replaced my roof. Rick was terrific every step of the way up to and including quick response! It was one of the easiest experience I've had. GREAT crew. Very professional, polite and HARD WORKING!! On time and they only took about 15 minutes to rest and get something to drink. Put everything back the way it was AND closed my gate (this is huge, as I have a small dog that could have gotten out). Left around 5:45. As soon as, they left Rick was here to make sure I was satisfied. They ALL deserve a bonus and/or raise. If I could give 0 stars I would. 4 and a half years ago ARAC installed a new roof on our house. One week later they had to come fix a serious leak onto the front porch. A week after that they had to come fix the same leak again. Fast forward 4 years later and we had the roofing cap shingles blow off. After talking to two people, they quit returning my calls and refused to fix the cap. I had to hire another roofer. Fast forward a few months later and the original leak is pouring back onto my front porch. I don't know how they are still operating. read more
