The checkout process was quick, handled by friendly and efficient staff, and every item was wonderful. Regardless if I buy anything, I just love walking around the market looking at all the fresh, colorful produce, thinking of what delicious dishes could be made from the plethora of ingredients. There are consistent vendors that sell every week and some that are new who sell every other week or every two weeks. This keeps things exciting and you can look forward to seeing new foods. This past week I was lucky to try Kikitos Jibaritos, a Puerto Rican sandwich vendor, and it's a must try if you spot them at the market! Some vendors accept both cash and card payments and a few only take cash. I recommend bringing both! Also, bring your own bags! There were a few vendors that didn't offer bags. Another tip: bring water or something to drink. I believe there was only one or two vendors that sold drinks. Bathrooms are also available for vendors and not to the public. Parking is also very hard to find so come early! The market is from 9am to 2pm.
