I felt the need to add to my review from 7 months ago because since then, 3 more posts are rotting under ground. We are working with another company to have them replaced. I was told you'll get this kind of rot when the post is placed in dry cement and water is added..just a way to save time. I wish we would have shopped around a little more before going with Rooster. Rooster Fencing Company was the most unprofessional business that I've done business with. I called and requested a quote, and the gentleman came out at the appointed time and gave me a quote. I scheduled an appointment with their office the next day. No one showed up at the appointed time. I called the office and asked where their crew was, they told me that they had a truck break down, but nobody bothered to call me to tell me. I scheduled a second appointment and was told that I'd have to pay an additional $20 per post for extra gas expense, even though they were already going to be in Reno on other jobs. I told her I already had a quote in hand that did not include the surcharge. We made another appointment, again no one showed and no one called. I've seen great reviews for this company, if I were you I would not trust them!! They delayed my fence repair by a month playing their games. If you're not available, just say so!! If I could give them a zero or a negative number I would. read more

These guys did some post replacement and repairs a while back. These photos tell the story. They left all the old concrete chunks from the post holes everywhere. Splintered wood everywhere. They went crazy with the nail gun as you can see by the photos. I was under the assumption they were going to come back and clean up but never did. Then I decided I didn't want them back in my yard after a closer look at the job thy did. So now I'm running galvanized screws through what's left of the wood. Stay away from these guys! read more

I called and made an appointment. It was for 6/7/2021 at 11:00 am. They did not show up at 11:00. I called them at 11:30. I spoke to Maria. I spoke to her for the appointment time. When I spoke to her on 6/7/2021 at 11:30. She claimed they called to confirm the appointment. No call was received from her. She then said the appointment was made for Fallon, NV. I don't live in Fallon. Then she wanted to make an estimate view a text from a picture. Maria tried to blame this mistake on her sister's scheduling on the calendar, even though Maria made the appointment with me. So I just said never mind. They are not reliable. They are disorganized and want to blame others for their problem. Don't waste your time with this company! read more

They showed up on time every day. The work they did to install my fence was perfect. I could tell they took pride in there work. They were friendly and listened to my wish's and concerns. They did a job well done. I would highly reccomend them. read more

Had another fence installed by Rooster fence. 1st fence was very well done but the 2 installers do not work for Rooster anymore. The owner Felix installed 2nd fence. Quality of materials seems to be a couple of grades lower than 1st fence. There are points where top of fence line is noticeably crooked. I asked him if he could straighten it up a little and he stated that the top of the fence was crooked because cement slab was a little higher at one point and it would cost extra money to make the top straight. I would've given Felix a one star rating but he did come back and fix a couple of my other concerns. read more

Totally unprofessional. Our family hired Rooster Fence Company to build an additional gate in our established wooden fence. The company did not show on the first day they had scheduled. They did not even call. We contacted the company, and they stated there was a misunderstanding on the scheduled date. We arranged a new date one month later, due to the company's schedule. We called and left email messages days prior to the new date to ensure that they would be coming. They emailed back, assuring us that they would show up. Again, Rooster Fence Company was a no show. Again, no phone call; we had to call them. Another one month wait for the next scheduled date, more emails and assurances, and a third time Rooster Fence Company did not show up. I own two small businesses. I understand the importance of a small business owner's word. Rooster Fence Company has no understanding of that concept. If you hire this company, be prepared for disappointment. read more

The fence they put in was the shoddiest work I have ever seen I think they cut a deal with the people next door. 4400.00 for a 500.00 fence Owner came out and look at it told me he had been building fences for 20 years. I asked him if that was the best he could do? and he just said he would replace the broken pieces there where a lot. Had Rooster fence install a 15 foot swing gate in November. They used poor/cheap quality fence boards. Most of them had cracks. The gate isn't level, you can't even open it without it scraping the pavers. First strong wind took out the left gate. My husband called them a week or so after they finished the job to have them come back and they are avoiding us. Won't return calls or text messages. Will be contacting the Nevada State Contractors Board and filing a small claim to get our money back. If I could give zero stars I would. read more

Run from this company! Had them install about 200 feet of redwood fencing 2 years ago and 1/2 the boards are loose, I also had them install a $1875.00 metal framed gate with wood boards, this was a rental house and they said they were done and wanted to get paid I went down to the house and could not open the gate more than about a foot, Rooster said it was because my ground wasn't level????? so they dug a hole so the gate would open, now hole fills up with water and freezes, after about a week the GATE STARTED FALLING APPART, I called to complain and left a message every week for about 4 months someone finally answered the phone and I was told the warranty had expired it was only good for 3 months, what a joke, this company should not be in business, if I had more time I would turn them into state contractor board! After spending another $1000 I had gate rebuilt by someone else so it would operate. read more

Be very careful of whet you get with this company, contracted with them for about 120 feet and a 14 foot gate, wanted a 16 foot gate but they said it would sag so went down to a 14ft gate now after they messed with the gate for 3 hours trying to line up the have told me I need to pay more to get a bobcat out to level the dirt, never mentioned anything like that before, bait and switch! read more

We needed a good neighbor fence (fence between our property and our neighbor's) replaced. Our neighbor chose Rooster Fence and we went with it. Very nice and polite when they came out. Gave us a verbal estimate, told us what type of wood they would be using, etc. Major communication issues with the front office and owner. They sent us 3 different bids, before coming up with one that they agreed was correct. We were on vacation while the work was being done. Took 2 days as quoted. However, the wood they used was cheap and shoddy - not the wood that they told us they would use. Upon returning home we found an uneven fence with nails protruding and gaps between the slats. I can't state how cheap the wood was - I could have pushed a slat down. When we called Rooster to tell them that we were not satisfied, the owner and two of his workers/translators came to the house. My husband showed them the nails and gaps and mentioned the poor quality of wood. The owner said that he would repair the gaps but not the nails and we had agreed on the type of wood. My husband told him, "if you are not going to do anything, please leave". I got a phone call from the receptionist the next day saying that they will never return to make repairs as my husband told them to "get off of his property". I am guessing something was lost in the translation? It has been 4 months now and our 20 pound dog broke through two of the slates. My husband had to do a patch job until we can find someone to come out and make the repairs. I'm sorry this review is so long. I don't like to make critical reviews, but I'm hoping that this one will prevent someone else from putting up with the high incompetence we had to endure. read more

I wish to preface this review by saying that I am not writing this review based on the quality of Rooster Fence Company's work, as our dealings with them never got that far. The folks who came out to measure the job were extremely friendly and nice and really listened to our input. Afterwards is where the train ran off of the rails. I received a phone call from them the following day asking if I had gotten the quote for the job in my email. I had not. We then verified my email address and I was told that it would be resent. The following morning, I checked my email and still had not received the quote. I called Rooster Fence and let them know, AGAIN, that I had nothing from them in my email inbox. They seemed surprised and once again I had to verify my email address by very, very slowly enunciating every last letter of it. I then had him read it back to me. All appeared properly transcribed (BTW, before someone suggests this, I checked my junk mail and spam folders and it was not in either of them). To this day, we still have not received the quote and will be going elsewhere with our business and money. Rooster Fence seems to be very disorganized. Even the email on their business card came back as invalid (I received an EMAIL_DAEMON response to my response to them). read more

Rooster fence was great! The were on time and were also very professional! Anytime I had any questions they would always respond quickly!

While the fence turned out ok there is a major communication gap between the people that come out for the bid, the installers and owner. The price was reasonable. The first day scheduled they did not show up as some installers did not show up to work. The next day two men showed up and they basically had no idea what we wanted. Showed them the picture of the fence we wanted. They were good and planned accordingly. I asked them if they would be back the next day, they told me they did not know as it depended on what the boss/owner wanted. I told them tell the boss to send the them back as I did not want to explain the project again. Well luckily the next day the same two gentlemen showed up, they did tell me their boss tried to send them on another job and was going to put us off another day. The posts were pressure treated but the cross beams were not if we had known this ahead of time we would have either paid for pressure treated or had them deliver the wood ahead of time so we could stain/treat the wood. We had to do it after the fence was up which with the wire was not easy. read more
