During basketball season I came into roosters w/ some friends to watch the UK game. After the game I politely asked the manager to turn one of the tvs to another channel so me and my friends could watch another game. He told me to "calm down" and was extremely rude about it. I was as calm as can be I asked politely. We said some words to one another and I haven't been back since. On Thursday my wife asked me to gp w/ her and since I really do like the food I did. The same manager was there. I thought after the incident that he would be fired. That is no way to treat a paying customer. Roosters is my favorite sports bar in Lexington. They have a broad menu for reasonable prices. Service is quick and cordial. Roosters is a great place for big groups as they have plenty of seating configurations. There are plenty of big screens with the right games on. Try the boneless wings with sweet Thai chili sauce, my personal favorite. The grilled chicken salad is also a great value. read more

Was served a ice tea and water all over my lap and so was my wife. To make things worst if that could have been possible, after 45 minutes no food, got up and left. This was my first time here with a few friends from work. We got there around 6pm and I was surprised by the few number of people there. Our server was nice and did a great job through the entire service. I ordered a 10 piece of garlic wings with an order of cheese fries. Both were good, but they didn't stand above wings or fries I've had at other places. For the price, I guess I can't complain. I would absolutely NOT order take out here. The food is never right!! I previously ordered 10 traditional wings to go. The chicken was not what I ordered!! They accommodated me with a credit. That's fine. I finally go back today after a few weeks and once again my order is messed up! I call and they put their manager david on the phone and he says he can fix it but they have already fixed my order before. As if I was lying!! The girls always have an attitude. My wife picked me up some wings the other night and they were absolutely the worst wings I have ever had. I order 10 wings extra wet and they were extra dry and soggy, ended up throwing them away. Zaxbys has way better wings and that's sad when Roosters website says they are known for their wings. Would hate to see how their other food is that they are not known for. I generally only go there when a game is playing. It's fantastic for that. The food is okay enough I tend to just go with the wings.

Their wings are good, I have had them a few times and I'm always impressed by how meaty they are. Their blue cheese is really good too! The wings do seem really overly greasy, which when enjoyed at the restaurant is hardly noticeable, but became very obvious once the food was home!We've had a few other things on the menu and it is bar food, classic bar food. This restaurant was all right. I had the Golden Carolina traditional wings, but I still though Buffalo Wild Wings is the best place to get them. If I were to compare their wings with other restaurants I have been to, I would say they are similar to Hooters. I am sorry I know I have come here a few times and I can honestly say the two stars are only for the cold beer and the friendly waitresses we have had. The food would get a zero from me. The few time I have been here to eat have been awful, like I actually don't feel well and feel like I drank oil! We love wings and these have to be the worst!!! First they have that stupid pointless wing flap left on which is disgusting and you can't eat it so why leave it on???? Second the wings are so greasy barf! The sauce has terrible flavor and more grease! I like to taste flavor and heat if I'm going to eat chicken wings, not grease and breaking. Roosters is everything you'd expect in a kitchy, casual bar: clever bar signs, slightly attentive servers and so many menu options that John Taffer would have a field day breaking it down with his "Bar Science" techniques. There's no real area that draws your eye...in fact I sort of wished I had taken my Adderal before coming in. I relied on Future Lawyer and his group of former "regulars" from another watering hole for my menu selection. Boneless wings and potato skins. Wings were average. Cooked properly, sauce was tangy and zesty (I got terriyaki and medium), but the potato skins were over cooked and just a greasy mess. Also, we sat at the bar, but the gal that was up there didn't really seem too concerned with how everything came out and we had to flag her down more than once for a drink refill and almost jump the bar when it came time to cash out. The prices are decent, I wouldn't mind heading up there again to watch a game or in a group setting, but it's certainly not going to be my local watering hole. read more

Worst customer service ever! I ordered $100 worth of food and had it delivered through a third party service and after waiting patiently for an hour (didn't mind this) i came to find out that they had significantly messed our order up. first of all we had ordered mozzarella sticks and did not receive them, second we had ordered the nachos deluxe (which is a $11 app!) and received straight up tortilla chips with NOTHING on them, and we had asked for everything to not include tomatoes and they all did. the last thing wasn't that big of a deal but if it had been due to an allergy no one would have been able to eat any of it. So after all this i decided to call the roosters and tell them what had happened only to be told that if was not their fault and if we wanted it corrected we would have to go to the store (mind you the reason we ordered for delivery is because all the roads are iced over) which is an hour away from my house. after explaining to the "manager" that we wouldn't be able to do that all she offered us was a $15 credit... on a $100 order!! extremely upset and will not be ordering from them ever again!!! read more

I visited Roosters for the first time and was directed to an area where no one else was seated. We placed our order as others were being seated. After approximately 30 minutes we noticed that most other tables were eating and we summoned our server to inquire about a potential problem. The food eventually came. My wife's salad was good but my grilled chicken strips were burned to a crisp, even to the point of being crunchy. We received an apology and our meal was complimentary. Went here Friday evening, we noticed there was a wait, but saw seating areas that were blocked off for no apparent reason. The hostess seemed overwhelmed and confused, so we took a seat at the bar. The bartender wasn't particularly friendly, maybe she was having a bad night? She took our drink orders, which were fine and pretty cheap, $2.75 wells, had a few specialty drinks that were tasty as well. We ordered wings, i had the chipotle boneless flavor, I was thinking theyd be spicier, but were pretty mild. We had the garlic flavor, regular bone in wings too, the breading was good, still not much flavor. All of the wings were large and had lots of meat to them. You get charged extra for blue cheese and celery, the blue cheese tasted like mayo, but the ranch was actually pretty good. A side of fries are right under $2, they are not large enough to be shared, small size for the price, the seasoned wedge fries were yummy. The manager (i'm guessing) was helping behind the bar and spoke with us a bit, he was very friendly and knowledgeable. We used a coupon I got online for signing up on their site. The main draw back is that the wings didnt have enough sauce or flavor, BWW has the one up on that. read more

First time having Roosters, got gift cards as a gift. We placed a carry out order and because I chose the wrong way to get there(never driving behind Fayette Mall again) our food was luke warm when we got home. We still loved all of it. My husband loved the mild boneless wings and told me if I ever ask again where he wants to go eat I will get Roosters as his answer(finally I won't have to decide). I have eaten here many times since it is close to my house. I visited on 12/26/15 and again had horrible service. I should have known it was going to be bad when we walked in and the hostess handed us the menus and told us where to sit, she didn't even walk us there. We sat there for right at fifteen minutes with no service and no acknowledgment from anyone, finally the waitress came out and went to another table to take their order. This table had just sat down maybe five minutes prior to her coming out. As we decided to get up and leave we told the hostess about the situation that had just occurred. We got a measly " I am sorry", no one offered to get a manager or see how they could help us. It seems if you are not a regular or a friend of the waitresses or management, you get put on the back burner. Even though I do enjoy going there for wings and beer, I am guessing I will have to find another place to venture. read more
