I respect businesses time and money. I arrived 30 minutes early due to not knowing exactly where the braid shop was located. The directions brought me to White Marsh Mall. I was a little confused as I have never received hair braiding services from a mall before. I called the contact information from the appointment confirmation text. The stylist confirmed that the salon was inside the mall and provided directions on how to find the salon within the mall. Parking is limitless. I arrived at an amazing secret oasis. I have lived in the area since August of 2021 and was never aware of this hidden gem. Salontra Select Suites house 64 different salons that provides every beauty service that you could possibly think of. I was in awe. When I walked, in there was a front desk with an attendant. He greeted me, offered me to seating, and notified my stylist I was present. While I'm the waiting area, I observed a kios that provided a list of salons, business cards of stylist, an on-site ATM, coffee/tea machine, and vending machine of snack. Suites are also conveniently located by the food court. I got my hair braided at 360 Braiding by a young man named Ibrahim. He was very prompt, professional, timely, charismatic. Hair is provided. If you would like a color outside of common natural colors, that may have to be arranged. It was a pleasure having him braid my hair. I will definitely be returning to him for my hair braiding services. While getting my hair braided, I scanned through the business cards I collected to view potential services that I may want to try. I have been in search of somewhere to get my hair done regularly and I am happy to have found these salon suites. All this talent in one location is absolutely genius. Once my braids have run it's course, I will definitely be seeking a stylist to maintain my natural hair. These salons are located inside of White Marsh Mall and some of the stylist provide services 24 hours a day...THAT'S RIGHT!!! 24 hours services. The entire service was $81 for a style that required no chemicals, I typically pay max $60 for this same style. On top of that, the style hasn't lasted because my daughter has natural hair that wasn't straightened out first. It seemed she wasn't trained or just didn't bother to work w/textured hair properly. What bothers me most is African-American woman have trusted Dominicans w/our beautiful hair even though many of their products, and styling methods, are not for our hair type and they don't care enough to learn our hair and work with it properly. And in some cases, they talk negatively about our hair texture, being to hard to comb or short, in Spanish, but take your money.
