I had a great experience getting my haircut with Jaime! This was actually my first time at a hair…read moresalon, so I was already feeling pretty nervousespecially after running late. My appointment was at 10:00 AM, but due to traffic I didn't arrive until 10:25. I felt awful, but Jaime was incredibly kind and understanding, and still took me in right away without any frustration. Once in the chair, everything went smoothly. She gave me a relaxing wash and a quick but thorough cut that turned out just how I wanted. She even shared helpful tips on how to maintain the style at home. Despite my late arrival, I was out by 11:18. The whole experience was efficient, pleasant, and professional. I tipped her well and will definitely be coming back, next time on time!

I booked Alex for a cut and perm. The cut was great. Alex listened to my needs and he was open to…read morecommunicate in turns of aesthetics and stuff. I was surprised that my hair weren't shampooed at all during my service. I did a perm so he rinsed my hair a couple times.. but no shampoo before or after. The worst thing is their towel on the washing bed (the one that would contact with your neck). It smells (like dirty towels) and the location got contact with it felt itchy afterwards the smell from the dirty towel remains on my neck as well until I shower at home this should never happen at a four dollar sign salon. Besides that, the store was clean and quiet. My appointment was 1PM - 4 PM. Only two people were working at that time--the two owners. Tbh it was the first time I saw a hairdresser do everything himself--all the preparation, cut, perming, washing, etc. The limitation of staff resulted in lack of attentiveness. During the perm, the medicine touched my face, and overall the experience was not up to the standard. I really hope that they can improve because hair coco has lots of potentials.

Waste of time & money. Booked an appointment for an all over color and a haircut-- Paid $205…read more(excluding tip). OVERPRICED for the service provided. I've gotten overall color, a haircut, and highlights for the same price elsewhere. i've even gone blonde around the same price. Anyway, i only needed a fresh trim on my ends & a minor adjustment to my bangs-- not much done, really. The stylist (Nairi) let me walk out the salon without mentioning the bangs being cut so short. She managed to hide it until i got in the car & at that point, i needed to be somewhere at a certain time so I couldn't even go back to complain. I've had many stylists make mistakes & not apologize to me before I leave the chair, which is so infuriating. It's also why I rarely ever get my hair done anymore, unless i really needed to, but now I might just learn how to do my own hair bcs at least if i were to mess up, i'd mess it up for FREE. Funny, i decided to visit the salon this time around so that i don't mess my bangs up before an event coming up just for that to be the main issue. Talked to the owner Jen who did try to fix the bang, but she couldn't really do much. I thought as a business owner, she'd at least try to compensate for the bad job of an employee by offering a partial refund or something. Nope just said to wait for it to grow back! lovely. I've done my own bangs & have NEVER messed it up like this smh so i essentially (over) paid someone to do a bad job.

Ava makes sure to keep her prices reasonable and is very easy to get into contact with for scheduling. I 100% recommend Ava to anyone who is considering going to Bombshell, she's awesome!

Great salon. I started using this place after the salon in the mall closed. They are extremely…read moreexperienced, and have an easy appointment notification system. Text messages update you throughout the entire process. If you'd like to have a female do your hair, definitely see Rosa. She's AMAZING! If you prefer a male, Billy is the way to go.

My wife went to Bubbles Salon in Columbia at 8am with clear inspiration photos and a very simple…read morerequest: a dimensional blonde with warmer, slightly darker tones, including lowlights and highlights to add depth. Her hair was already a light ashy champagne blonde with fresh root growth and a solid base. She intentionally left it alone so there would be zero confusion about the goal. We were fully prepared to pay for quality work. She expected over $300 for the service and was ready to tip about the same. She factored in processing time, toning, even test strands if needed. With her starting point and today's hair trends, this should have been a straightforward appointment for any experienced colorist. Instead, she spent five hours in a chair watching her hair get worse in real time. A shadow root was attempted and applied so poorly it looked almost black against her blonde and had to be corrected. Her hair was then highlighted in multiple rounds, and somehow still ended up yellow, brassy, and completely untoned. At no point did the result resemble the reference photos she brought in. Iman told her he "can't make her hair thicker," which had nothing to do with anything she asked for. She never requested thicker hair, she requested color placement. That comment honestly felt like the theme of the entire appointment: not listening, not understanding, and then reframing the confusion as if it was coming from her. When I came in, this happened again and they basically tried to blame her not being clear which offended me greatly as I know she had the reference picture ready to go. I would have respected it more if the stylist just admitted she messed up, instead of blaming it on my wife. Billy, a senior stylist, told her she should just do it herself. That alone should tell you everything about the level of professionalism here. She was also told her hair didn't match the reference because it wasn't styled, which is an unbelievable excuse when the issue was color, tone, and placement, not curls and volume. She was even handed a color book mid-appointment as if she hadn't already provided clear visual references. There was no manager on site when she asked. By the end, she left with yellow, uneven, brassy hair that didn't resemble her starting point or her request in any way. She went to another salon afterward, where they were immediately confused by what had been done and suggested corrective work. The entire experience felt disorganized, dismissive, and careless. She came in ready to pay for professional results and left with something she wouldn't have expected from a beginner trying it at home. We did not pay for the service, and we will not be returning. The most frustrating part is how easily this could have been avoided with basic honesty at the start. If this was outside their skill set, that should have been said before five hours of trial-and-error damage control.

I have had such a difficult time finding a hair stylist that was able to cut my hair the way I envisioned. My search is over!!! I wish I had found this place sooner! The woman who cut my hair, who I believe is the owner (?), was so sweet and efficient. I wish I asked for her name but she was wonderful! Her assistant was also very kind and I found them to be a great team! The owner asked what I wanted and for inspiration photos, which I had ready. She then asked several other questions based on what I said I wanted and the photos I showed her. I wanted face framing layers, a V-cut on the back of my hair, and some bang styling that was appropriate for my face shape. From sitting down, to walking out the door, my haircut took only 40-45 mins! AMAZING! I feel like I have a lot of hair and I wanted layers so I was impressed by how efficiently everything was done, including the washing of my hair & curling after! I also found the price to be very fair and reasonable for what my end-product was with my hair. I highly recommend ON:U if you are in the search for a women's haircut!!! Seriously such an amazing experience ‍ P.S. If you'd like to tip the assistant, please bring cash! I didn't know this beforehand and I felt bad when I left because I don't carry cash on me. But very sweet people!!
