Lovewell understood the assignment. This is their second location, the OG is in the Avenue, but the Oak View spot is perfectly placed for those of us trying to romanticize life on the way to work instead of just surviving it. The space is small but full of light, and it feels cozy in a way that makes you want to linger without feeling squished. The owners are genuinely kind. I asked about "The Goodfella" specialty drink and they explained it without a hint of coffee snob energy. We love knowledgeable and approachable. Also... they bring your drink to you while you're waiting. I appreciate this so much. It's such a small thing but it feels thoughtful. There's a solid lineup of fresh baked pastries if you need a little treat moment. And the message on the cups just makes you smile. It feels intentional in a quiet way, not performative. The vibes here at this location are top tier. The two women who were behind the coffee bar were so friendly, helpful, and had the best attitude. Very much felt like the local vibes I was looking for. I only wish they had a little more indoor seating, and that their chai was a house recipe versus a premade base. Walked into a very cute, clean and well appointed tea and coffee shop. I was immediately greeted very warmly and i placed my order for 2 lattes and saw their display of pastries. I had the cranberry ginger scone which was very delicious. I sat to wait for my lattes and when when they were done they were brought out to me at the table where i waited. This review is SO long over due but oh my goodness do I love this place!! I first loved their original location on the avenue but it was hard for me to visit often because of the location, so when I heard they were coming into our little Oak View I was so excited! I have never met such amazing staff and owners and am so blessed to start my morning off with them everyday! Not to mention, they are so quick which means I can always count on them for coffee before work! Recently I came for my birthday and they celebrated me in true love well fashion, which genuinely made my day so special! As well as their genuineness, their drinks are some of the best you will ever have! With a diverse menu, you can't go wrong with anything. Their pastry display and overnight oats are also an honorable mention! There is seating both indoor and out and customers are invited to sit and read or play games with books and items supplied by the coffee shop. I was looking forward to an Eggnog latte today, my first of the season. Well, they don't have Eggnog (big tip, go to the store and buy some). I will not be going back, I want to support local businesses, however, it's Christmas time, I can't afford a drink a day so my choice of Lovewell was well thought out. Also, when I order a drink extra hot, I do mean scalding. I know it's atomic hot, but that's what I want. I hope the shop takes my advise under advisement. Great location. read more

I got to visit this new location conveniently located off the main road. It was just as fun and inviting with a warm welcome. The pastries are a must because they have special ones that are only at this Oakview location. And as always, the drinks are really good. I want to try new things, but I'm hooked on the Marble Mocha. I usually end up getting that. If you don't want coffee, they have a bunch of tea options, too. The staff doesn't mind recommending drinks. They are always ready with good recommendations. They've done it again! Going to the first opening today was so awesome.  Being greeted by so many smiles and watching other customers coming in sharing laughs. The owners Andrea and Emily have brought the loving family vibe to Oakview. I recently learned they are actually true Oakview locals.  So this is also their hometown. I even witnessed one of the owners, Emily, really helping a customer with his thermos. It was so kind. And I got to have a chat with the other owner, Andrea, who was so caring and genuinely interested in chatting. I was really excited to see the exclusive Oakview location pastries Rachel took my order her joy was so contagious.  She is very knowledgeable of the menu and has great recommendations.  I got the pistachio croissant that was DELICIOUS and a watermelon tea that was so yummy!!! Before leaving, my son said "I love Lovewell because they love so well." So that just says it all. Coming back! read more

Coffee is just okay, very bitter. Also quite overpriced. An average coffee is $7. I usually end up spending $9 for a coffee and it just tasting okay. The inside of the building is pretty. I really like this place for their special drinks, that cost the same as any other coffee place in town, the cold brew's/drip coffee is a bit pricey but everything is nowadays right lol! For the quality it's definitely worth a try, convenient that it's on the way down to Ventura...For my gluten and dairy free people they have a few options if you come early. I tried the strawberry chica seed pudding and it was delicious but couldn't find it the last 2 times. I only get something when they have gluten free/vegan products out! Harder to find at coffee shops in Ojai and this place is open early which is nice. As for the store itself, soooo cute!!!! Moms can relax as well because there is child seating and ambiance/some books out etc...Nice touch!!! Barista's are always very welcoming, I also got a cute pumpkin sticker! read more
