Since they are known for their roast beef, I went with the "All Nighter" and had them prep it just the way it's listed. This was an excellent sandwich! The roast beef had a really good flavor to it. They have a neat sign in the deli that shows additives other roast beef has and how their's is just beef. And that flavor really stands out. Also, they do a ton of work for local organizations; from nonprofits, animal shelter local schools and sports. They also employ a good amount of people from the community. WOW WOW WOW, I travel along 95/91 and was in Wallingford. Many people I've worked with always told me about this deli. I usually eat at Subway because I know their menu, but I decided to try this place out. AMAZING. Their prices are way lower than all these franchise places. I got 2 subs and 2 drinks and still walked out with $8 bucks where as at Subway, I'm lucky if I get 2 bucks back. Best part is that you actually get meat in your subs. Now I read some reviews that their subs are small,are you kidding me? My son works at Subway too and they get all their meats pre-sliced from their provider. I saw one of the girls slice my meat which must I say is Boar's Head. Who does that?Their subs should be worth alot more than what they sell for. In NY when I eat there, subs are like $12. Now I did make a mistake going during the lunch and their parking lot was packed. But I guess thats a good thing, means they are busy and they at least have their own parking lot unlike many others who don't have a spot for them selves. I just parked on the street and walked 50 feet. I guess people are lazy and think the place is a nightmare. Now here is a kicker that got me, while i was waiting in line, I heard some of the girls already know what their clients wanted and their names. THAT IS UNHEARD of. When I go to my favorite spot, they still don't know my name. So coming to a place like this, I guess they really love their repeat customers. Because to remember what they get and their names, wow, that is a real family business. I also read the reviews that others have left about bad experiences,subs not worth it,parking,and that Rosa's doesn't make all their food. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but if you people were to really pay what products are worth for a while, you would sing another tune. I have lived in Wallingford for 20 years and Rosa's Deli, I can't imagine what it would be without their delicious food and friendly smiling faces. The place is a Italian shrine to the divine smells of food like you can imagine Rosa's grandmother made for Sunday dinner. I don't know how anyone can give this place less than 5 stars. What's not to like --nothing. Soups- awesome. Bread- awesome - Subs - delicious - All are top notch. Meats piled high, chicken parm, veal parm, meatball, broccoli rabe all winners. The place is amazing and you really do have trouble making a choice because everything is amazing. It's the place to go. read more
