I have tried to give this place as many opportunities as possible. Every time I go there the service is subpar or below. I decided to start ordering delivery and the first and only time I did it was late and when I called them, they told me that no one had had picked it up yet and to come get it myself. They didn't comp anything or even apologize. Decided to try them for lunch and see if maybe the service was any better. Walked in. No one greeted us. We sat ourselves and they just continued to have their own conversations. We walked out after about 10 minutes with no acknowledgment. Ended up going to Jets next-door. On Thursdays, Rosatis hosts Bingo night - which starts at 7pm. This past thursday, i got there at 5:45 and could not sit down. The restaurant was half-filled and the remaining seats were being "held". I think this practice is ridiculous. I saw more than 10 people come in and leave within 15 minutes because seats weren't available. About the food - i've visited there several other times, so the review is based upon those visits. Rosatis purports to be a Chicago-style restaurant and the menu reflects it - it's just that it's so m'eh. The deep dish pizza is marginal - it's barely deep dish with a lacking of ingredients - if you go to Gino's East in Chicago, you'll know what a true deep dish pizza looks like (and tastes like). The King Cheef is an Italian beef sandwich - i got it dipped - which helped but, again, the Au Jus and the beef wasn't that flavorful Calzone - it was good - nice breading and ingredient ration Greek Salad, Antipasto Salad, Chopped Salad - these are the few "healthy' items on the menu and all are very good Dough Nuggets - these are addicting - they serve way too many of these - they're basically fried pizza dough - and it comes with an accompaniament of tomato sauce - it was a good idea - but made better as a desert Zeppole - they took those dough nuggets, sprinkled them with powdered sugar and paired with nutella - best menu item, hands down I would suggest going any time other than thursday evenings. This was our first time back to the restaurant after it had changed owners. When we walked in we immediately noticed a change in how things felt there. Everything felt very unorganized. We were promptly seated and we placed our order right away. Our server was fine but a little rough around the edges. As we waited for our food he checked on us to be sure we had everything we needed. As we sat there, the wait became longer and longer. After waiting nearly 45 minutes, our server apologized for the delay in getting our order out and said the kitchen was behind due to online orders, (strangely we so no one coming in to pick up orders). It should also be known that we were the only customers in the entire restaurant. It was complete empty except for us and the staff. There is no reason why one pizza should take so long. After waiting a full hour, our pizza was finally ready. The pizza was good but it was overshadowed by the unacceptable delay. What we found odd is that the owners were constantly walking around but not once did they ever come to our table to check on us or apologize for the long wait for our food. This is unacceptable and irresponsible of a new owner that should want to make sure all customers are taken care of. In reading reviews left by others, it's clear from the owners response that have no interest in making things right. Based on our experience and the owners lack of concern for poor service, I don't see this restaurant staying open for much longer. I am from Chicago and have had many of Chicago deep dish pizzas. It's unfortunate to say this Rosati's Pizza was the least favorite Chicago pizza I have had. The tomato sauce is not fresh, tastes like it comes from old canned tomatoes. The crust/dough was the worst part. It is tough and stale, you can tell it was frozen. The cheese and toppings were good. I was really hoping this place would be my go to pizza place in central FL for my Chicago pizza fix. Unfortunately if I want Chicago pizza I will need to make a trip to Kissimmee for Giordano's or take a trip to Chi town. Wanted calamari but was informed that they do not serve seafood. That's really disappointing. So I ordered the cannolis for dessert and they were good. But they do not come with pistachios on them as depicted on the menu. Disappointing too. read more

Being from Chicago I can tell you this is legit. I don't know what everyone else's problem is with this location. The staff was great, the pizza spot on and it looked plenty clean. Aside from the clients feeling that giving me crap about my Black Lives Matter mask is appropriate, there was nothing wrong with this store. Rosati's was surprisingly good but my poor waitress.......she just kept getting our order wrong LOL! It wasn't a big deal because she was very nice, apologetic and quickly fixed it so we just laughed it off. Issues: We received a small pizza instead of the large pizza we ordered for a family of four, we asked for dough nuggets and received mozzarella sticks instead and all of our drinks were wrong. Plus side: the pizza was very good!! The sauce was nice and flavorful and it was very cheesy. I ordered a Long Island and it was OK. As a former Chicagoan, all I can say is it tastes like home. Service was good even though they were pretty busy. We had a thin crust cheese and sausage pizza and it tasted like the Rosatis pizza in the Chicago suburbs! I really haven't found a pizza joint here in central Florida that's worth reviewing but this is one I had to give 2 thumbs up to. It really stood out. If you are from the Chicago area, you won't be disappointed. No matter where you live in central Florida, it's worth the drive. Even the decor was mostly Cubs, Bears and Blackhawks!!! The thin crust here is very good. It's crispy on the bottom, soft in the middle, not over cooked. We got an extra large with Italian sausage and extra cheese, and it went fast. The Greek salad was good too. Look, it's not as good as being ACTUALLY IN Chicago, and it's not as good as Paul's in Clearwater. You know what? It doesn't need to be THAT good. It's still the best Chicago pizza for miles around. They claim the Mt Dora location is nearly the same. I'm looking forward to trying that location. I went for Bingo night and although I'd love to leave a play by play of everything that unfolded I'd rather just give a gist of the overall experience and why I won't recommend or go back. There was no air conditioning if there was it was low and horribly hot. We asked for plates just to fan ourselves. The place itself may not have been able to accommodate so many people. Although the waitress was sweet she had a hard time remembering what was missed and could not appropriately rectify problems when they occurred. Solution: work on communication and delivery with staff and just training. Waitress did her best in the circumstance of being short staffed in the back and at the bar is what it seems. This also goes for the one bar tender available. Bartender unable to take ownership of mistake and instead argumentative with no customer service skills. I ordered a drink with my group never received it, changed it to a beer to make it easier and then had to get into an unreasonable argument for it. Food was mediocre, best thing is the pizza. To-Go order. I was super excited to find Chicago deep dish in this area. Sadly, I was very disappointed. I ordered Canadian Bacon, I was given bacon. Bacon is bacon I guess and I can understand the error. Moved past that...Although the pizza "looked" great it failed on many levels. The cheese was not thick, heavy and stringy like Ginos or Giordanos pizzas. I live 10 minutes from this location and the pizza was already cool when I got home. I ate a couple bites and was just not feeling it. The dough was surprisingly tough. You know when you try to eat left over pizza a day later and heat it up in the microwave. Yeah, that tough. I actually placed half my slice in the oven and it didn't help at all. Just made it hot. Lol.... I purchased a large for the family, we all bared through one slice and through the rest away ); I gave this place 2 stars because no one really deserves 1. I want to return and try some other items. 1st off we loved the atmosphere, service was great and for the most part the food was great too. We started with fried mushrooms....the taste was good but were over cooked. Husband got the Italian sausage with marinara. He like the sausage but didn't care much for the marinara....he did enjoy the salad that came with it. Our friends shared the meaty pizza and it took everything in my power not to grab it from them! They deemed it excellent! I wanted the breaded pork tenderloin sandwich (quite badly BTW) but is was taken off the menu. Sad face. So I went with the calzone with pepperoni and mushrooms. No real complaint but everything seemed to be in the middle...the cheese was awesome but have to say the red sauce while good, over powered the taste of the other ingredients. Oh, Rosati's....delicious! I'd say it's some of the best Chicago-style pizza so far that I've found down here in Orlando. My boyfriend and I had wanted to go to a sit-down pizza place, so I'm glad we tried here because I also wanted him to try Chicago-style pizza. Now, I do have a few complaints. There was no host, so we sat ourselves per the sign. We sat there for 20 minutes before someone even came to us. There was maybe six tables total and looked like a total of two servers and a bartender one. Once the server came by we placed an order for garlic bread and our drinks. For garlic bread, it took almost 30+ minutes for us to even get that. 30+ minutes for our pizza to come out, which chicago style takes a bit longer so that's understandable. But the entire time in two+ hours we sat there my drink wasn't refilled at all. Also, when you check in on yelp you get a "half order" of "dough nuggets"...well they don't have a half order and have never heard of it. But they did just allow us to get the full order. But that should be corrected on the app. The restaurant started to get busy and I saw the two servers running around like crazy. The manager came out and said it was normal to have two servers (also said our server was the floor manager) so that was interesting. It just didn't seem well run. I don't know what else happened, but the manager and a guest were going back and forth and the manager yelled ACROSS the restaurant for the guest to get out of his restaurant. But overall, the food was fantastic..I would 100% come back for this pizza. Though I will say there is nothing special about the garlic bread or the dough knots. Im picky about pizza and from the Chicago area...just putting that first. Also, we did not have a bad experience like some of the reviews. I will say getting the pizza was a bit slow, but the server knew that we were waiting and came over and said "pizza's almost done, about 3 more min." It was nice he check in on us a lot and boxed up the left overs at the end. Service was pretty good, checking in, refining the water and he knew a lot about the up coming locations. Now about the pizza....Finally a pizza place with good, real Chicago style Italian sausage on the pizza. It's huge! Pepperoni was crispy and crust nice and thin. Lot of cheese, but not thick like you would get in Chicago. Good sauce. All in all, not a bad option and similar to Chicago pizza. The other place I go is Anthony Coal Fired pizza because they have good Italian sausage too, but I wouldn't mind coming here again. Now if an Aurelio's opened near me....that's my absolute favorite pizza next to Lou Malnatis....but those are no where near Altamonte Springs....so I have to actually visit Chicago to eat at my favorites....which is in 2 weeks! New place to try close to home! We went here last night to try something new, and absolutely adored their Italian Beef sandwich. We got it with the hot giardinera and yum! The fries were ok, crinkle fries which I love, but a tad overcooked. We also had their deep dish pizza. I was not super impressed to be honest. I like a deep dish crust that's a little more buttery. I would try their thin crust pizza next time. The sandwich though? Will definitely have again. And again. We went during happy hour which is 4-7 every day. Drafts and wells are 2 for 1. Born and raised Chicago here for 33 years. I lived 5 minutes (one stop light away) from Rosati's back home for most of my life there. I live in Ocoee now, so when I want my fix, I come here. To those complaining about deep dish, eat it in, don't order it delivery or carry out. The time it sits in the car to get to you does not do it justice. It's meant to be enjoyed immediately. In all honesty, I don't order the deep dish from here. Rosatis thin sausage pizza is where it's at. The double-dough is also really good, but very filling. Also, the wings here are really good. I read some of the reviews after trying Rosati's and was surprised at how very negative a few of them were. When they go against my own and others' experiences, it always makes me wonder if they are "revenge" reviews, exaggerated because of some real or imagined slight. Anyway, I asked my wife and she confirmed that the service was fine there. We shared a 14 inch Fantastic Four pizza, with sausage, green pepper, onion and mushrooms, and it was delicious. I thought it was a bit pricy at $20, but if it had been less delish, we could have stopped halfway through it and stretched our dollars by making a second meal out of it. But we wolfed most of it down. Perhaps next time I will try their wings with the pizza to help ensure a second meal out of it, because yes, I do plan to go back. read more
