Stopped in for a late lunch after passing by a few times and not having time to stop in. The advertising with the wings and burgers drew us in to try it out. The burgers are a new item and not on the menu so be sure to ask since I was not sure if they even had them with the ad board outside. I enjoyed my burger and thought it was cooked well and had great flavor. My youngest had chicken tenders and fries. She thought they were just ok. A standard tender that is probably delivered ready to cook. Not an issue, just an observation. My oldest asked for buttered pasta. She thought the pasta was well cooked and loved the bread that came with it. There was a little too much butter for her preference so we had to drain some of it off. The location is clean and pretty big with lots of seating inside. They have a descent alcohol selection even thought we did not partake on this visit. We do get up in this area pretty frequently so will try to make it back in for some good food at reasonable prices. read more

The wagyu burger and onion ring special for $12 is SUCH a good deal and SO good. The Chicken Sinatra was good, but kind of spicy. All of our food was good and hot. The bread rolls and soup that came with the chicken dish were good. Portions were good for the cost. The restaurant was clean and the waitress was nice and attentive. Food came out quick too. They are pretty secluded in a small plaza which is nothing special looking, but inside the restaurant is very nice. We would give the wagyu and onion ring $12 dollar special a 5* though, and we may be back to have it again! The restaurant is super cute and there were many signs in the plaza pointing to where they were located (in case you got lost). The service was also very quick. I liked the fact that there was a weekly special card and something different for each day. I loved the food here a lot! If you love garlic (I really love garlic), I would definitely order the garlic knots! There was mounds of garlic on the bread and I happily ate it :D The pizza and wings were delicious also! Grabbed a pizza and garlic knots for movie night. When we got it home we realized they'd given us a plain cheese pizza without the topping we'd ordered. I called and asked whether they'd be able to deliver the correct order-- or whether I'd be able to drive the food back up so they could fix it. All they were willing to do is offer a discount the next time I come in. Problem is we hadn't ordered from Jerry's in at least a year and after this I won't be back. The pizza wasn't great and the garlic knots smelled incredible but the pile of raw garlic on top killed it. To be fair, the woman I spoke with was apologetic and perfectly nice. But when you mess something up you have to do right by your customers, especially when they offer to go out of their way to get the food they paid for. read more

I think we found our new Italian go-to. We've ordered take out twice and both times the food was excellent! We first tried the chicken parm and spaghetti bolognese. Both dishes had hearty portions and tasted really good. We tried their pizza recently and it was far superior to any chain pizza in town. I'm really not huge on writing reviews unless a place really surprises me on how good it is. Today, I have to say was that day & it looks like I found a great diamond in the rough with Jerry's Pizza! I live in Lake County (Tavares) and drove over 25 miles to go get Tacos at the new Jacks literally next door. While me & my wife were munching down Tacos in the parking lot we stared at Jerrys Pizza & Italian restaurant. After we were done, I told my wife lets go check it out! Really nice looking and clean inside. We got a large 18" pizza half sausage & half meatball a little well done and let me tell you were we surprised at how great the pizza was. Toppings were all over the pie and of excellent quality! Pizza was cooked perfectly and the sauce and cheese were great as well. I woulda took a picture but me and my wife ate half the pie on the way home. I grew up in Flushing Queens NY and have to say in the 20 years of living in central FL this might honestly be within my top 5 pizza places that I have encountered. Jerry's is one of those places that you cant see from the road as it faces a side street. It always has this crispy crunch on the bottom that pairs so well with the cheesiness on top. The chicken was nice and juicy and full of flavor. But, it certainly isn't the best I've had, especially not for $17! There are tons of Italian restaurants in the area that either charge less or provide larger portions. If I'm comparing them to a few others, I'd go elsewhere next time. I went to Jerry's for lunch with a group of 36 women, it was a little chaotic to say the least, but the young waitresses handled it well. It is awesome, that they have been around for 31 years. Disappointing visit to Jerry's. Had always driven by but never ate there. Saw multiple 5 stars online and thought we would give it a try. Popped in on a Saturday night and we literally were the only folks in the restaurant. And in the hour of being there - only 1 customer came in for take out. Pizza just was not very good - tasteless crust and too much seasoning sprinkled on. Pasta dishes we had were ok. Think there are better alternatives for both pizza and pasta in Longwood. We went at night and it had a very casual, cozy pizzeria feel. My husband ordered the shrimp scampi. This was tasty but just needed a bit more salt. Ordered online for a to-go pizza with several toppings and was told 30 minutes. I walked into the restaurant 30 minutes later and still had to wait another 10 minutes. When placing my online order I selected 4 toppings that I believed I paid extra for, but when I got home and opened the box I had a plain cheese pizza that was mediocre at best. I called the restaurant and spoke to the "manager" and was told the online service didn't list the toppings. I expressed my disappointment and asked if they would make it right and was told no. In fact, I was told that next time I wanted to order to go I should call in instead of ordering online. It is 2019, we can all place an online order with a dozen other restaurants that will get it right (and care if it is wrong), so why would anyone bother with Jerry's considering they care so little about customer satisfaction that they can't even remake a simple pizza correctly; or offer a free appetizer or Cannoli on another visit to encourage me to come back and give them another try? At this point I've given Jerry's enough chances to impress me and they always fall short. Go to Luna's across the street or Anthony's on 436 where the food AND service are better at both. read more

I was once a semi regular at lunch. I have made a real attempt to eat at family owned restaurants during these tough times. I had an experience a few weeks ago that has ended my relationship with this establishment permanently . Within a half hour visit, I not only witnessed an employee get humiliated, but also had the unique pleasure of listening to F Bombs being dropped while I attempted to enjoy my lunch. To top things off, I attempted to contact the owner about this incident though Facebook and he showed little, if any concern. I give the flavor a 4.5 and the extra bump is for service.
