Door dash forgot part of our order. After trying unsuccessfully to rectify the issue through Door Dash, I called Rosati's. They were amazing! They apologized for the inconvenience due to our pick up guy forgetting one of the bags, and brought out the replacement (times 2!) within 15 minutes! (we got 2 orders of chicken wings!) The food was of course, amazing! We got the Cheef, Lasagna, a pizza, cheese fries (the best!) and the chicken wings! Their food is always consistently delicious and fresh! Good bye Rosati's of Libertyville. Been a customer since I moved here in 2000, ordering at least once a week, sometimes more, and used their catering, as well. Always great food and prompt delivery, with very few mistakes. Last six purchases have had multiple issues. Wrong pizzas twice. One delivery took over two hours, which was just a pizza and a beef sandwich. When we called to check, they told us they dropped the first pizza they made for us on the floor and had to start all over again. They rectified it by giving us a liter bottle of diet Pepsi. That got tossed. When this second pizza did arrive it was cold and stale. The final straw; we used to love their pasta dinners, but not anymore. The last two have had about two-thirds of the food they used to, also too little sauce, half the bread we used to get, and only one cup of salad dressing for a large salad, about half of what you need and half of what they used to provide. I've had enough. They do not seem interested in keeping customers, running a good business, but, instead are nickel and diming everything; running this once great place into the ground. I've been a returning customer of Rosati's Pizza in Libertyville for 10+ years. After being away in California I wanted my pizza fix! However, due to the lack of professionalism of staff & quality of pizza I will not be returning. I ordered a double dough pizza w/ two toppings. However, I received what appears to be a thin crust pizza. Also, when I received my order the soda was incorrect. The delivery guy seemed to not care that it was wrong, shrugging it off. After looks of confusion, as if we're crazy for wanting our right order, he said he'll be back in 15 minutes. That's when I saw the pizza was incorrect too. I knew the delivery guy was coming back with my soda. I called Rosati's to inform them that my pizza was incorrect. I honestly wasn't expecting anything at first. But the disrespectful manner that I was treated with made me change my mind quickly. Three different employees accused me of lying about the incorrect order. Then started taunting me after I asked for the difference for the items that I didn't receive. Mind you, my order was $50. So obviously getting double dough pizza with two toppings is pricy. I was then laughed at for recommending that. They didn't really care that I wasn't satisfied with my order & didn't care to resolve it. I don't think this review even begins to explain the level of disrespect I received. I wasn't looking for a free pizza or a full refund. I was not trying to get over on anyone. I just wanted an acknowledgement of wrong doing & simply try to fix the issue. Finally, one of the employees said, "what do you want then? A store credit? Fine, I'll give a store credit!" I lived in Chicago for a lot of years and had a lot of good pizza, but today I tried the specialty slice for 3.50 and it was huge, deep dish Chicago Style with pepperoni, green pepper, sausage! It was better than any deep dish pizza( hands down )that I've ever had in Chicago and I've had, Connie's, Home run inn, Giordano's, Gino's East, Edwardo's, and Uno's! We usually get Lou Malnati's, but we had purchased a coupon booklet from Libertyville high school and it had a coupon on it. We figured we'd take advantage of our purchase. We ordered a medium sausage pizza, a basket of fries and an order of chicken parm. We were told about 35 minutes, which when we got there it had been exactly 35 minutes. I wasn't greeted very pleasantly, in fact, it seemed as though I was inconveniencing the girl working behind the counter by even entering the store. The store, that's another issue. It was so dirty in there. The floors had clearly not been sweeped or cleaned in days. Our ticket number was 6 and it was 4:30, so I'm assuming we were only the 6th customer, but the floors said otherwise. There was one stool in the waiting area and it was about ready to tip over. I sat on the window sill to wait. I paid the bill, which we were supposed to get the pizza for free with out coupon, but the girl charged us for the pizza and gave us the cheaper chicken parm for free. I didn't even bother complaining, as she was clearly annoyed with me already. She didn't tell me how long just walked away and sat back down. She was having a discussion with a guy, who I'm assuming worked there as well, but don't actually know since neither of them really talked to me. I finally asked if it would be awhile and she simply said "yes". So I waited and waited and looked around wondering why I had even paid for food coming out of this dirty place. The food finally came out and when I saw the size of the fries I couldn't believe it. A basket? No, more like a medium fry from McDonalds. And it was $3.50. The garlic bread that came with the chicken parm was clearly old, and hard as a rock. We were extremely disappointed. I will not go back to this location based on cleanliness alone. The young lady who usually takes phone orders seems like its a chore or bother. I usually order from another pizza establishment when I am in this area on business but wanted to try another place as I find the one from which I usually order to be "just okay"; the time for delivery seems eternal; and, I really don't care for their on-line ordering process. Today, I tried Rosati's based on the hotel front desk recommendation. (They also recommended the establishment I referenced in my first sentence.) I ordered the jalapeno poppers and margherita pizza (thin, light crust, although a tad heavy on the olive oil). Food was delivered earlier than promised and hot. (Monday night). They changed some ingredients, the way they made the pizzas and the amount of toppings they used. The last time we ordered we thought we got an empty box it was so light. I have never had a worse pizza experience. I ordered a pizza for delivery on December 1st, 2014. After an hour the pizza still had not arrived. We called and they said the driver was on his way. The pizza arrived after an hour and a half!!!! We ate and thought we were having a nice dinner. About 2 hours later, we started experiencing gastrointestinal issues, throwing up like crazy, and just feeling terrible. My poor husband got it worse than me, probably because he ate so much. We've ordered from Rosati's for years and loved it. If I were making this review last year it would have been a 5. Our go to pizza is the double dough. It seems like the recipe has changed. The crust is not nearly as good as it used to be. It used to be just the right mixture of chewy and crispy. Now it's just a generic pizza crust.. Also, they started cutting the pizza in squares... which I hate. Yes, I could ask for regular pizza slice, but I don't always remember to do that. We've tried the "new" pizza a few times, and will probably not be going back. read more
