So someone suggest I try the classic deep dish pizza at this place but I tried the meat lover's and it did not disappoint. The crust was perfectly crispy on the outside and buttery soft on the inside, and the layers of gooey cheese, rich tomato sauce, and flavorful toppings made every bite a dream. Yes, the wait time was a bit long -- about 30-35 minutes -- but that's expected with a true deep dish, and trust me, it's totally worth it. Well I finally had my first true Chicago deep dish pizza! I would've added more photos but I was a little too excited to eat. I had wings, yes delicious! I had a deep dish pizza with a side salad and lemon Greek dressing, yes delicious! I can only say this food did not disappoint at all. I wish I was able to bring it home with me, especially the pizza and the salad dressing because they both were amazing. There was one other table of people sitting there at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, (3/13/24). Looked over the menu and decided to order a Chopped Chicken Salad, a Large Spaghetti with Marinara sauce, a Deep Dish Pizza with Jalapeños, Onions, Peppers, Tomatoes, Spinach and Pepperoni. Got another custom Deep Dish Pizza with Chicken and Jalapenos. The server said 45 minutes for the pizzas to be ready... We got a Shirley Temple, a Diet Pepsi, Sprite and Water for our drinks. The atmosphere inside was kind of dingy, but very quiet and comfortable. After about 10 minutes, we got refills on drinks and the salad. Received the Pizzas after about 50 mins. Then after another 10 mins, got the Spaghetti. Didn't realize the pizza portions and sizes were so large! We figured the Deep Dish pizzas would be stomach fillers, but man were they huge and thick slices!!! Very cheesy!!! Tasted pretty good, just way too big. Taste has gone down in 4 years or maybe I worked it up too much the first time. We came right before the lunch rush but the pizzas were still going to take 45 mins from when we ordered it. No problem, we'll have an appetizer. We ordered the same as last time Giordano's Sampler, the bruschetta was delicious but the cheese sticks and nuggets were ok. We ordered the Chicago Classic small, meat and more meat medium and one small pizza half cheese and half pepperoni for our kids for a grand total of $130. Meat and more meat Deep dish was the start of the day very flavorful and filling. The chicago classic was not good at all. The veggies were cold inside with the sauce and it gave it a dirty taste. One thing you must know is the deep dish pizzas take 45 made-to-order minutes, so don't act surprised while you're waiting. It says it takes that long, in writing, on the menu, people! I decided to order Crumbl cookies while waiting since they were two doors down, But there is a shopping center adjacent to where you can take a stroll to pass the time. Food was great, not greasy and VERY filling. My husband and I shared a 10" deep dish and we both had 1 slice each along with a salad and we took the rest of the pie home. What's to say...you just need to experience...and that will be words enough. This pizza is on another planet. Everyone in Chicago knows it and many outside of Chitown do too. Since I no longer live in the area, every time we come back, we load up on with about 4-5 of these frozen bad boys. I went to this location today for the first time and I normally go to Chicago location when I want a Chicago style pie. But I was told that this location was good also and I brought a friend who it was her first time trying this pizza and style pizza and we were both disappointed. The pizza came out lukewarm, the dough was not fully cooked, there was barely any sauce on top not to mention that we ordered appetizers bone in chicken wings and they served it in BBQ sauce with feathers still on them. They take no reservations, so be prepared to wait if you come during the busy lunch hour. Came early on Friday, 11 am so luckily no lunch rush. We got seated promptly. Ordered the Meat and mire Meat deep dish and the Super Veggie deep dish. Typical Giordano's deep dish, thick crust, super cheesy and plentiful toppings. Service was prompt, nice and helpful. The crust was flavorless, and I had to look very closely to confirm that pepperoni was on my pepperoni pizza. The pie was topped with a thick slab of cheese, which hadn't quite softened. Our waiter was nice and attentive the entire time. The service was not as slow and the food came out warm and tasted good. I enjoyed the Caesar salad, though I would suggest asking for dressing on the side. The pizza was very cheesy and had a lot of toppings. The onion pieces were really big so I'd also suggest cutting back on those. The pizza was good but not the best compared to other parlors. I am giving this restaurant three stars because, although it has improved, it is still average. This would not be the first place I'd recommend for a deep dish but I definitely wouldn't be opposed to coming here for a dinner with family or visitors. Pizza is good but the service fucking blows. I mean they literally don't give a fuck about customers like we don't keep the lights on. They seem to get bothered when you ask them for something. And you would think that because they have new employees often they'd have better service. Who is training these people? The only good employee is the buss boy lady that pick up the dishes from the table (Hispanic lady) , she always is getting drinks for us when it's the waiters job to do it. Also, this has happened twice. I have the doctor paperwork to prove it. This place has gave me extreme diarrhea twice. The dough wasn't fully cooked or the cheese was bad. I am so glad Giordano's is opening again. And it has a new pizza that is incredible! Today I got to have a Margarita Parmesan Crust pizza and it is now my new favorite. They have 5 different types of parmesan crust pizzas and I will try them all as soon as I can. I love to take home dinner from here. It is a bit more expensive, but I prefer to pay for good quality ingredients. And I always have enough food for more than one meal, unless my kids get into my refrig without asking me!
