If you read the more recent reviews, you will find a common theme: apathetic, inattentive, and disorganized service staff. Unfortunately, that is exactly what we encountered at our recent visit to Rosati's. As I've stated before, I don't typically write a review after a first visit but given some of the consistency in themes across some recent reviews, I think adding our experience to the discussion might be helpful, assuming anyone from the restaurant reads Yelp reviews. We decided to stop in to Rosati's after hearing some good things from friends. We went in around 6 pm on a Saturday and it was getting pretty busy but we were seated immediately. Our server was Kylar and she greeted us right away and got our drink order. Unfortunately, this is about the last time her service was adequate. Throughout our visit, which was a bit long because of food wait time, our drinks went unfilled for long stretches of time. My wife needed a refill of her drink for 22 minutes at one point (yes, we timed it, we are those customers). After delivering our food, she never came back until we flagged her down. When we asked for a box for our leftover pizza, she just handed us an unfolded pizza box that was too small for what we had left. She was very clearly not happy to be at work and didn't bother hiding it. It wasn't just us, other tables of hers went unattended for long stretches. She couldn't have been more apathetic and inattentive. The food was pretty good. Our pizza, we ordered a thin crust, was tasty when it finally did arrive. The wait was quite long but we did enjoy it. We also ordered dough nuggets as an appetizer and quite enjoyed them. They are just fried dough dipped in garlic butter sauce and parmesan cheese and served with marinara. Good stuff. They have a few beers on tap and plenty of TV's for watching sporting events, if that is of interest to you. The restaurant was smaller than I anticipated and there was quite a large number of people waiting to be seated at one point. So, people are coming in right now. Overall, the staff was kinda apathetic as well. The host employee did not communicate very well with those waiting and the folks wiping down tables just wiped the food pieces into the floor when clearing tables. It just seemed like a pretty poorly run establishment at the moment. Lots of areas that need drastic improvement. If someone can get the staff working harder and a bit more attentive to customer service, I think this place has a chance to be pretty good. I'll definitely be back for the food. But, if the service doesn't improve, I don't think good food can overcome the major issues we saw our first visit. read more

We decided to check out this new neighborhood establishment as they are known for their Chicago deep dish pizza. I have tried other deep dish pizza options in Omaha so I wanted to see how Rosati's stacked up. We arrived early on a Friday night just before the dinner rush so we were sitted quickly, the staff was friendly and the server took our drink order right away. There are many TVs situated throughout the restaurant so you can check out the latest sporting events regardless of where you're sitted. We ordered the mozzarella sticks as an appetizer and the 12 inch Chicago style deep dish with pepperoni added for our main entree. The mozzarella sticks were nice and hot and I liked the breading. The marinara sauce was full of chunks of tomato which I like and it had a nice flavor to it. The pizza came pretty quickly and I was surprised given it was deep dish and the cooking process normally takes a little more time.The pizza was good overall. The crust was golden, crisp and buttery . The sauce tasted similar to the marinara from the appetizer which was fine. However , the first slice I had there were parts of the cheese that were only lukewarm. My second slice was heated more evenly like I would expect. One other note the server never came back to refill our drinks as my son's cup sat empty. To their credit they have only been open 3 weeks so I will chalk it up to that. To my initial comment about other pizza options I would like to return to try some of their other menu items before I make a final overall assessment. read more

Decided to try this place out for the deep dish pizza. When we walked in it was a little confusing because there's a counter where it looks like you order, this was just for take out though, if you walk into the dining area, there is a hostess stand behind the wall. There was no sign and no hostess so we weren't sure if we should seat ourselves or wait. Instead we went back to the counter and waited, someone came out and asked if we wanted to place a to-go order and we said we wanted to dine in and she said "oh okay" and took us to the hostess stand and ended up seating us herself because still no one was there. After all of that confusion, we were able to order drinks and food easily and our waitress was quick and attentive. We had the fried mushrooms and the deep dish pizza. We ordered the smaller deep dish option and it was exactly the right amount of food for 2 people to share. The food was very good and I definitely would come back to try other toppings and other menu options. They have a lot more than pizza as well which is nice if not everyone in your party wants pizza. read more

Ordered carry out on Saturday night. I was warned ahead of time it would be an hour wait. They were short staffed. The economy is excellent if you can't get staff to work on a Saturday night. Lived in Chicago and moved here a few years ago, was so glad that Rosatis came to town to offer some great pizza to Omaha! Inside it is family friendly and the bar is nice and clean. Plenty of TV's all around, staff seem very nice too. read more

Excellent Chicago pizzeria. The thin crust was amazing. The deep dish was awesome. The service was great. If you are gluten free, the pizza is the best you will find in Omaha. Food was excellent. Service was very slow. We ordered online in the hopes that we could just stop by and pick up our food. However when I Arrived, they said it be about another five minutes. Although I had ordered about a half hour prior. The email confirmation said please allow up to 30 minutes. I waited a total of another half hour before I got my food. The other part of this experience that I found very annoying was they had very limited staff that were just doing probably four or five different jobs and not focusing on one job. read more

Stopped in this evening and got 2 pies. One regular one deep dish. Very good food. Definitely a top deep dish in Omaha and the atmosphere is very nice as well. I went to Rosati's for take out of their deep dish pizza and was not disappointed. The deep dish pizza was really tasty and cooked really well. The pizza sauce and marinara sauce for the cheese bread was a chunky tomato sauce which some may not like. The order only took about 30 minutes which was less than I was expecting for a deep dish pizza. read more

Good not great pizza. Worst part was disorganized and inattentive staff. No one seemed to be in charge, didn't really want to take our name and wait times given seemed to be random at best. Everyone got a different answer even though there were common parties or two or four. Once we got seated we didn't see a server for quite awhile and those we did see seemed to be aimlessly meandering around. Ordered 3 different pizzas since it was our first time and we wanted to sample. One of the three got hung up in the kitchen and had to be remade. Not the end of world, but the server said she would give us a discount on it since it came out late. Called yesterday to put in an order. Whoever we spoke to supposedly didn't take orders and I guess and never wrote down my order. I called back after a while and finally had someone tell me they would re take my order but I was told it would be an hour wait now. I Canceled my order and went elsewhere. For a newer business people should be more respectful when working with a customer. I don't know if I will go back after the way I was spoken to. read more

So disappointed in the experience this evening especially after seeing good reviews on the OFL page. We really wanted some good thin crust pizza. With a family member in a wheelchair, we had to have delivery tonight so our normal go to wasn't an option. We decided to try this place and it was our first time. But, it will definitely be our last. We ordered a 12 in - 4 topping thin pizza, cheese fries, and a side salad with ranch. The cheese fries on the delivery app showed that the cheese came in a separate container from the fries. But just to be safe, I specified in the instruction to put it on the side. They went ahead and put the cheese sauce on the fries making them soggy. But that wasn't the worst part. They sprinkled a ton of dried oregano over the top of the cheese. WHY???! This was not listed in the menu and it was not good at all. After scraping it off, the little cheese sauce that remained was also not good - just a cheap, cheap nasty canned sauce. I'm not against a canned sauce but this was terrible. No one wanted to eat them so I threw 75% of the fries order away. I ordered a couple extra ranches (at $1.72 each) for dipping. 2 came in a separate bag with the salad and one was put in with the hot pizza. Hot ranch. Yuck. I thought I'd read it was homemade ranch. Clearly I was mistaken or something has changed. It was also not good - very cheap bottled ranch. Threw all of three of those away, too. The side salad (minus the yucky ranch) and pizza itself were ok but nothing that would make us want either again. I selected pizza cut but got party cut instead. And this small 12 in pizza was almost $26. Definitely WAY, WAY, WAY overpriced. I hope the people that think this is good food will try some of the better (and in some cases, less expensive) pizza places locally and I hope that more of them will deliver. read more

I drove 90+ blocks because Rosatti's advertised "Chicago style deep dish" Pizza, something I'm familiar with having lived for 40 years in Chicago. I was sorely disappointed. A true deep dish has an inch or so of cheese in a buttery flakey crust. - Rosattis version substitutes an excessively thick, doughy crust covered with a thin layer of cheese and remarkably scarce toppings. Not a great experience starting with the moment we walked in. 3 different people asked us how many was in our party in order to seat us, all while the first person went to clean our table. Sat down, and our drink order was promptly. We asked if we could have straws for our cups of pop and were told she would bring them back. 2 cups of pop later, we finally received our straws. It took 30 minutes to receive our appetizer, which was followed by our pizza and other entrees 5 minutes later. My son ordered boneless wings...they came bone in.
