I would love the say good things about this dog park because we use to love it here. However it's not the same as it was last year. My dog was attacked by 3 dogs this morning that were 3x her size while all of the owners did nothing but watch. They were more concerned about what they had for breakfast rather than helping me get their dogs off of Nala. Both the lady and the other man's dog grabbed my dog by her sweater and then her collar and drug her across the field. My poor dog was pinned to the ground and both of the owners had the audacity to scream and cuss at me when I grabbed their dogs off of mine and then pushed one of the dogs away when I picked my dog up. And not once did anyone even say sorry. In fact the lady that owned 2 of the dogs told me I need to go on the other side of the dog park. Maybe you shouldn't bring your ill mannered dogs to a public place. This use to be a really good dog park with respectful and responsible owners. But it's not anymore. This park is huge, I love that they have two sides for active and non active dogs, I have only two complaints - there was so much dog poop, dog owners really need to do a better job at picking up after their dog! And lastly- dog owners really need to be watching their dog. It was our first visit and everything was going well until two dogs (same owner) started to aggressively bite my dog and get a little territorial with him. I was able to get my dog safely away but the owner didn't have a care in the world. Very frustrating. I decided on trying this place based on these reviews. This is my experience... I recommend bringing your dog if they need some socializing, exercise, or relaxation. Even I was relaxed. Owners were responsible but let their dogs go to roam, play, chase. There's 2 sections, like others mentioned separating active and passive dogs but I did not see that being followed. There's plenty of space in each. You'll find a place that works. And the doggy water fountain is great! read more

This park is very lovely and has a wide space. I usually take my dog here after her vet visits or when I'm close in the area. Lots of room to play, the grass is green and cool other dogs that stop by. As is it starting to get more hot in Arizona it is best to take your dog here before 11am or closer to sunset if you want them to play with other pups. I also like that there are tennis balls all over for the animals to play with (no need to bring any). read more

Ok, Friday night (9/22/2023) I brought my dog Cena here for his very first time here. Nice park and YES, I would gladly bring my dog back here anytime. Unfortunately though a man and his kid along with their large poodle were there. The large poodle came up to my dog, A blue healer/australian cattle mix, And wanted to play with my dog like dogs normally do at a dog park. The large poodle's owner stuck his hand out to my dog and my dog did start barking at the guy. And that's only 'cause my dog is skittish and nervous around strangers until he gets to know them. I ran up to my dog and got him away from the guy and explained my dog's "skittish and nervous" situation to him. The guy then said to me "I'll Kill That Dog If He Comes After Me Or My Kid." OK, So I understand the guy is protecting his kid and I respect him for that and NO, My Dog won't attack kids because he's being raised up around kids in my family,...But you do reach your hand out to another person's dog and make them bark and then threaten the owner that "You're Gonna Kill Their Dog" after you're the reason why they barked at you in the first place. read more

Can I review some of the people who go here? Because I know one idiot who would get 1 star. (But the park still gets a 5) One dude let his dog pee on me! And the little bugger was fast! He'd prance toward you, and before you knew it, his leg was up and piss was streaming out of his winky cannon! My friend was tinkled on multiple times; she wasn't able to jump out of the way very quickly since she was pregnant. Did the man say anything? Only that his dog was only nervous. Are you kidding me? Alright, I got your number. In return, we very actively encouraged our Australian Shepherd to play with the little terrier. Why? Because the Aussie Shep becomes a drool monster at the dog park, and the little pissing terrier (who only likes to pee on people, not trees or anywhere else in the park) ended up DRIPPING the Aussie Shep's saliva. I was in Arizona for a week visiting some friends and needed a good park for my husky puppy! This is such a great dog park!! There's so much room for them to run and usually lots of other dogs! If you want your dog to play with other dogs come around 8-9am that's when the most dogs are here. Made the mistake of coming around 11 today and no one was here so get here in the mornings for the most fun. The grass is dried out but the dogs couldn't care less there's room for them to run! They don't need fresh grass. There's also a few trees for some shade. My pup and I love this dog park when ever we are in town we are coming here for sure. read more

I'm first dog park. It was nearby and the dog I'm sitting looked bored as I did chores around the house. Decided to bring him here at 2 PM on a Saturday and it was practically empty. There were 2 people there with their dog at one time. There's 2 caged doggy Park sides. Equipped with water fountain for you and your dog. There's plenty of benches, trash bin, and doggy poop bags. We were visiting in the Phoenix area and wanted to take our lab to a dog park. By luck we selected Roscoe. Took our dog to run and play on a Sunday morning. The dog park was a great surprise. Well worth the drive out. The City did a fabulous job at building this dog park. Two huge play areas, lots of grass, and even shade areas for wimpy owners. We have been to many dog parks, from San Diego to Denver. Roscoe Dog Park gets an 11 on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being best!!!!! I only hope that Roscoe is named after a beloved local citizen - or - the Mayor's dog!!!! read more

This is a nice dog park that is large and seems to be well maintained. My dog enjoys running around i the grass, as we do not have that option for her in our zero scaped yard For some reason every time I have gone here, I have not seen other dogs. Although on occasion driving by it, I have seen them in the distance. It's nice that they offer 2 separate sections of the park. I wish I had read the reviews before I took my daughter's dog here for exercise. He is a medium size lab/terrier mix who likes to run and catch his ball. He ignores other dogs and goes to a dog park every day at her home. I took the dog and our 3 year old grandson. We went to the 'active' side so the dog could run. There were two young women there with a husky pup and another dog. We went off to one side, far from the others. We were there about 5 minutes. My grandson was standing on the side, playing with his truck when the two dogs ran over and jumped him. He screamed, I scooped him up and yelled to the women to please call their dogs. They stood looking at the scene and did nothing! Even after I got the baby up in my arms, the dogs continued to jump on me. Those two women never attempted to call their animals! I couldn't believe it! We left, I will NEVER go back there and I encourage others not to go either. The city should lock the gates before they are faced with a lawsuit! I cannot believe people stand for this behavior. read more

Once again, I had to leave because some stupid people think it's ok to bring aggressive dogs to the park. My dog was barely in the gate when the two dogs there attacked her. The couple who owned the dogs first just scolded the one dog then the man had to physically pull his dog off of mine. I left at that point but not before giving them an earfull. This park would be perfect BUT whoever maintains the park, city of Goodyear or private, does NOT maintain the grass. I try to take my dogs there and they come home with hundreds and hundreds... no exaggeration... of little prickers. It takes more time at home to get them off then we spend at the park. Great dog park. My dog loved it. There's two sides so I can't imagine why anyone would have a problem there. If the dogs are too active on one side just go to the other which is usually empty. I think a lot of people complain about others dogs behavior but some dogs are still learning to get along with others and never socializing them isn't the answer. I got my dog from the pound and he's a work in progress, but you gotta start somewhere. My dog loves this park , 2 large enclosures, one side for active dogs & the other side for non active dogs. The upkeep has dramatically declined over the past few months, ranging from poop bags not being refilled, or harmful items like water bottles /and or caps, cigarette butts , small plastic items that dogs can choke on... The other issue is that the restrooms have been closed for going on 3 months which is a huge pain, being that there isn't any public rest rooms close by so if you have small kids with you, you have to leave the park drive 10 minutes so your kid can go potty, then depending how long you've been at the park return to park. The other issue is that on seldom occasions the grounds keeper running late I assume, will enter the gated off leash area with dogs, and proceeds to use the leaf blower, which most dogs don't respond well too. Last fall there was a few weekends when the grounds keeper brought a child around 8-9yrs old with him while he cleaned. The child stood outside of the enclosures and actively teased & taunted the dogs throwing rocks and the dogs, finally at one point there was roughly around 10 dogs give or take barking aggressively at the young boy while he proceeded to taunt the animal, even after adults asked the child to stop. When the restroom were unlocked, constantly finding dead animals like mice, birds, etc. Aside from the poor maintaned ground, the park is wonderful read more
