Stopped in Rose Canyon Deli for some breakfast. I had them make me a ham and eggs scrambled on wheat toast for $9.25. The eggs were well seasoned and scrambled. It was a simple breakfast sandwich really, but it hit the spot and it was tasty. It could have used a little more ham though. The wheat bread was good and had a good toast. You can also choose bacon, sausage, or chorizo on your breakfast sandwich. They also offer a break burrito and bagels with cream cheese. The lady and gentlemen who the deli are very friendly. The deli also has a little market where they also offer beer and wine. There's parking right in front with a covered patio for dining as well. Nice people. read more

We stopped by for a quick breakfast on the way out for a hike. This is a little deli/convenient store that is located in an office park. We went on the weekend and the parking lot was closed but fortunately, we found street parking just adjacent to the parking lot. My sandwich was pretty good, just a regular bacon, egg and cheese on sourdough. Nothing fancy, did what I needed it to do. My man got a ham egg and cheese breakfast burrito. It was quite big, but it was actually stuffed with hash brown potatoes that had a strong onion flavor and were honestly kind of slimy. They had definitely been microwaved. He thought he could doctor it up with some salsa, but the salsa was straight onion as well. Not balanced flavor at all. The woman working behind the counter was very nice and made fresh coffee for us. The there was a nice patio to sit on in the front although it was kind of weird because you're in the middle of this parking lot of the office building. The ambience is more like a convenience store with the option to order food. It seems like they serve the surrounding businesses for breakfast and lunch during the weekdays. Service was friendly. I had the breakfast burrito - was just okay. The burrito includes hash browns that have the consistency of mash potatoes, and not much flavor. The salsa was onion heavy. The coffee was good. Was looking for a good deli/sandwich spot close to where I was staying, La Jolla. This popped up in the recommendation list. When I first got to the area, I thought I made a wrong turn but I was in the right area. It's a spot in a warehouse area. I was greeted as I entered and the person that helped me was friendly. They were able to take my order and told me how long it would take. Prices were fair, not too high like other deli/sandwich spots. For the food, the taste was delicious and did not disappoint to why it was highly rated from people that visited it prior. I would recommend this spot to other looking for a good sandwich. read more

Stopped in quick after work to pick up a wrap and a snack before my flight home. I got the hot chicken Caesar wrap on a spinach tortilla, and it wasn't bad! Great service, the woman at the front counter was very friendly. However, I picked up a blueberry muffin because they looked really good and just now when I went to eat it, I noticed mold. Kinda disappointing -- they might not rotate out old snacks/baked goods for new ones. read more

This place is truly a hidden gem! I've lived in the neighborhood my whole life and even used to take dance lessons across the street when I was little, but our first time visiting was only a couple of months ago. The staff there are always so friendly, and they always recognize us as we go pretty regularly now. Their food is always a really good quality, and they have delicious sandwiches on their menu but if you are a picky eater they have fully customizable options as well. The inside is a little small, but they have seating out on the patio to enjoy your meal. I am looking forward to the next time I will get to visit. read more

The first time I visited this part of Rose Canyon was 1976 when Price Club opened.  There were great deals and free samples.  :-)  I was surprised to learn Rose Canyon Deli was just a few blocks away while reading mmm-yoso!!!  It appears Rose Canyon Deli has been in operation since 1994 but recently new owners took over and the food is fresher.  This sounded promising as I have tried various Subway locations but none of their sandwiches tantalized my taste buds.  AppleCarplay guided me the backway to Rose Canyon Deli.  I never go this way and I arrived at a business park.  Nice lady at the counter took my order and brought it outside after about 10 minutes.  Loved the combination of flavors from the fresh french bread, crunchy savory bacon, tender roast beef, crisp lettuce, and juicy tomato.  The fresh flavor of the french bread and the nice lady really sets this little shop apart from the Subways I visited. 2nd visit I tried a ham sandwich with bacon.  Toasted French bread was crisp on the outside with a lovely flavor.  Ham had a little sweetness balancing out the salty savory bacon while the crispy lettuce and juicy tomato balanced out the proteins.  Great tasting sandwich. Hawaiian Paradise smoothie was a mix of pineapple, banana, shredded coconut and orange juice.  Loved the icy refreshing flavors on the hot summer day I visited. So far the roast beef sandwich is my favorite.  The Breakfast sandwich is what I want to try next. read more

Discovered this place from Yelp. We were at Costco just down the road and planned on just eating there. The lines for Costco pizza were long so I looked on Yelp to see what was close. So glad I did. Rose Canyon Deli is in the middle of a business/warehouse area so you may not notice it. It's a small place with a few tables outside. I got the Turkey Avocado Club club. Delicious. Bread was fresh. Good amount of meat. Yum. My friend got the Egg Salad Sandwich and said it was delicious. We both ended up taking half our sandwiches to go. read more

My son and i finally had a chance to check out Rose Canyon Deli after moving around the corner a few months ago. We went for breakfast before taking him to school and I must say everything was more than satisfactory. We were immediately greeted introduced to the family. I got the breakfast sandwich on a croissant and my son got the burrito. We BOTH finished our sandwiches, my son rarely finishes anything so this was a surprise. He's been asking to go back every morning now! They also have yummy smoothies that we got to take with us. All around, atmosphere was very friendly, clean & welcoming, and food was delicious.
