The vintage couches, the bar area, the lawn games and the spacious room make this place a great hangout spot. They have outdoor seating as well. They are located next to the beach so it's a nice spot to get a refreshing dessert or breakfast before heading to the beach. I got the tropics bowl and enjoyed it as a healthier dessert option. The bad: I ordered a kombucha but they didn't have anymore. The acai bowl was good but not the best I've ever had. I wish there were more topping offerings but I think I've been spoiled by acai places like Blue Bowl that have endless toppings. The cashier wasn't particularly friendly or welcoming. The interesting: I noticed several people here getting work done on their laptops. We originally went to another acai bowl place before this one but the wait was long and the worker used his bare hands to hold fistfuls of unwashed fruit so we came here instead. How they made their bowls I am unsure because it wasn't viewable.

You can't really beat the refreshing taste of fresh fruit and nutty granola and butter. Especially when you can take this delectable bowl to the beach and just vibe in the sand. Wave Bowl $16 (14.50+1.50): 5/5 The bowl itself looks fairly small like, but deceptively so since I was stuffed after eating the whole thing for breakfast. It is higher cost than I would usually spend but I don't eat açaí bowls to know the average. Personally I really liked that the toppings were at the bottom and the bases were on top, not just because it was a beautiful display but because sometimes when it is the opposite, it can quickly get messy with toppings falling and dropping. The granola was crunchy and the add-on nut butter ($1.50) was plentiful and contrasted well to the fruits. You get some finely diced strawberries and bananas that were just the right amount of ripe, the bananas a little more firm but definitely preferred with the bases. The pineapple spirulina was favorite as it had a good sweetness to it. Honestly wished I could get a bowl with just this as a base and of course the natural blue color is just so unique. Coconut was coconutty and the pitaya was brightly colored, not too much distinctive taste on this one. Peak San Diego Experience

In this case yes the bowl was OK was but was no better than the 3 other bowl places within a mile of this location. The wait was LONG as for many of the bowl places on this street but this one was extra long as in 45 minutes to an hour wait on off hours long. And of course with all these tik tok famous places the price was inflated. Based on taste alone I could have given this place 4 starts but the extra tik tok tax(inflated price just for being TikTok trendy) and extra wait time for the exact same thing you can get anywhere else rubbed me wrong so I'm going to have to leave this 3 star right here.

Made in house peanut butter is very nice as well with great flavor, it's smooth and mixes well with each bowl. My wife got the acai bowl I got the half and half because I wanted to see what this Brazilian super fruit, cupuacu, was all about. Has a lighter tropical refreshing flavor, so there is that option, but the acai also has that standard flavor if you want that more robust and pronounced flavor profile. Both very delicious though. We also got a cold brew with the cold foam. Great flavor from the coffee itself. Nice and bright flavor with some sweetness from the cold foam, very well balanced. The service was amazing too, very kind very friendly, and super knowledgeable about their product. We ate inside and they walked out and did a table touch and even brought us some napkins for the table. The decor and vibes was very relaxing and the building was well lit. Prices are also great, bowls include any or all the toppings that they have available. You pick your side, your base then you can build your own or pick from some of their premade builds. We got two medium size bowls, and a cold brew with cold foam, a little over 40 dollars after a 22% tip.

Waited for about 5 minutes and was greeted by a gentleman who took my order I got a decaf, dirty, iced vanilla chai. It was good but not a lot of chai flavor. Not overly sweet which is good I also ordered the ham and cheese stuffed croissant. I think they just warm it up. And I think it was overdone. The cheese had come out and was burnt, which is OK cause I like burnt cheese. But the end of the croissant was hard and edible. Overall it's a great option if you're local and looking for a cafe that's walkable with lots of seating. But I wouldn't go through the effort of finding parking to visit. To the business owner: I have a handicap placard that was clearly visible in my windshield. But I'm happy that you showed other customers who are as a business owner and why they should not frequent your business. As you can see from my picture the croissant was not edible. Address that instead of worrying about the parking and making false claims online. Thanks

Straight up delicious and absolutely something I would order again without hesitation. My wife ordered the Feta y Verdes veggie wrap, and even she was surprised by how good it was, which says a lot because she knows her veggies. Fresh, flavorful, and genuinely satisfying. Veggie lovers, consider this your official heads up. The arcade lineup is solid too. Pac Man, Mortal Kombat II, The Simpsons, a classic Star Wars Atari cabinet, plus others. Waiting for food did not feel like waiting. It felt like killing time in the best possible way. One quick warning. The hip hop playlist is not radio edited. Totally fine for adults, but if you are bringing kids, just know you might be explaining some lyrics on the drive home. Overall, fun spot, good food, strong throwback energy. I would definitely come back.

This little store is inside the Bakeshop by Coco Playa so the sign is hard to spot. They sell açaí bowls (in a cup) and smoothies + Brazilian cheese bread :) The acai is smooth and creamy, and I liked how it was sweet (honey added) and didn't melt very quickly. Super tasty! They do a good job layering on the toppings and making the cup look pretty. There's an option to do half acai and half coconut sorbet; the sorbet was super sweet and packed a punch of coconut flavor-- so good and refreshing! The blueberries seemed thawed from frozen so some of them were still frosty but they were still sweet. MT really enjoyed the pistachio butter too. They did away with their Tuesday special of unlimited toppings, but now you get unlimited regular toppings everyday with regular+ sizes. Premium options (like protein powder, pistachio butter, almond butter, goji berries, etc) come with an additional cost. Definitely pricey but a special, fun, and tasty treat! We enjoyed Açaí Carioca so much we went 3 times in a week! This location has better parking (a shopping plaza lot), was less busy, friendlier service, and had a few seats outside compared to their other location. If you're craving a refreshing and somewhat healthy treat, check this place out!

It's SO good, I highly recommend the coconut sorbet to any coconut fan! The texture and flavor of real açaí here is so amazing, completely a different experience from any of the other açaí places. That makes this my favorite açaí spot I've tried so far in San Diego. The Brazilian bread is super addicting as well!
