He was very kind and knowledgeable. He also showed my husband how to put up drywall, "mudding", and texturizing. Not to mention his pricing is very reasonable! Hands down would hire again. We are actually planning on having him redo our kitchen. He also brought along with him Dave Chapman who works with Steve. They work really well together and are fun to talk to. We made them some food because they felt like family friends that came over to help out.

We were completely happy with the work he performed. We recently contacted him again to do a complete make over of a 700 sq. ft. space that we use as a guest room. Once again we were completely happy with the work performed by Javier and his excellent crew. The highlight of the work performed was the stunning redo of the bathroom. It was a complete demo of the old bathroom and the results were fantastic. Everyone who has seen it and remembered the old bathroom were amazed at the results. Some specific highlights of the work performed on the project: All of the workers Javier used on the project were outstanding. They were, polite, skilled and cooperative. Javier was always available at critical points in the project. We were especially impressed with the painting that was done. It was equal to that of any painting contractor. They always completely cleaned up and hauled away all trash. Not a trivial item. They performed several tasks that were not included in the work order. In one case a sofa bed delivered by Ikea for the room was left unassembled even though we had paid Ikea to do so. (still have not resolved this with Ikea). Javier's workers put it together for us. In another case; we had ordered carpeting from Home Depot and they were to move the furniture out of the room and remove the old carpeting. They showed up a day late with only one installer. It was clear that one person was not going to be able to do all of that. The installer left without notice even though Javier's crew offered to help him. In order to keep on schedule Javier's crew removed the old carpet and moved all of the furniture out of the room. Home Depot did show up the next day with 2 installers and because they didn't have to any other work got the carpet installed. Probably would not use them again. Javier flipped my kitchen and two bathrooms. His guys were good with framing but terrible with…read moreplumbing. In the upstairs bathroom, they had a problem with the toilet flange, and then poof! Problem solved! 5 years later, the flange was leaking and the ceiling downstairs is dripping. The toilet was glued to the floor with RTV and that was hiding a massive leak! Turns out they shoved in two wax rings on top of each other, and there was a cone that restricted the drain down to about 3". The cone prevented a flush from dropping immediately down the drain, and the wax ring sandwich leaked! The cone also caused a lot of clogs over the years. Now I have an almost $6,000 plumbing repair, I have to patch my ceiling, and I have a mold issue! There's never time to do it right, but there's always time to do it twice! I also found old cans of Modelo in my attic after the flip!

Given that our home is relatively unique, there were not a lot of other options, so we were grateful to be able to have Tim Lawlor construction address many beams on our home which needed to be addressed/repaired. Sadly one of those beams did not last more than 5 years. I would think that for $40K investment the work would last longer than that. Needless to say they were the first I reached out to for remediation/recommendation but it's been over 1 month now and not a single response. I paid every single invoice on time and was respectful of delays and lack of communication the first time around but having spent that much with this company and to not even receive a call back is highly disappointing.

The support posts on my wooden patio structure were dry rotted, as was the support post and railings on my front porch which desperately needed to be replaced (not an easy task). He responded to my message right away, came out for an estimate and booked me for the next week. Came on time, started working and he was meticulous in making sure structures were secure, posts were level, proper base brackets installed, etc. His worker, Polo, was equally knowledgeable, and an excellent carpenter, who worked very long hours non-stop. We were introduced to Sergio, Fairfield Drywall Inc. by our insurance company…read more After doing the dry wall, Sergio volunteered to take up the wall painting too. It's a special type of texture and paint work. Having experienced the job outcome which was neat, we showed him a part of our main entrance where we wanted some work done. At the time of the first job too, keeping time and appointment was seen as a challenge. Several times he changed the appointment date and time and then too never made on time committed, but we considered it acceptable and an exception since he mentioned there were circumstances beyond his control. For the next job too where the job lasted a couple of days, keeping appointment time was a consistent problem. As the job was completed late in the evening, the exact outcome especially the defect were not fully visible, yet. On seeing the uneven and patchy work during the day light, made contact and an appointment with him. He assured that the job will be finished properly this time and he will give us "a beautiful outcome". He was to send the invoice for the materials and services, which is not received even now. On the appointed day, waited no one came. Called him after a few days, he said he missed noting down the appointment and said he din respond to the text or call as he was out of the country on an emergency but will come back that Friday to finish the job. Friday too passed and he did not come nor informed. Tried calling, then sent a text saying if he is not willing to fix and complete the job, he should send the paperwork atleast. No response. This is not just being unreliable but also quite irresponsible. We are now with an incomplete and not happy looking outcome :( when the whole purpose of engaging the services was to make the space look prettier !

I used trusty Yelp project and managed to get one solid quote from a 5-star place, along with other inquires of interest from several painting contractors. Sergio provided a response a few days later and was transparent about the scope and gave a competitive bid. Plus his availability matched our schedule so we went with him. Sergio did an awesome job and was extremely meticulous. It took about a day to install the insulation, new drywall, and texturing. After 2.5 days of letting everything dry out, he came back on a Saturday and managed to paint everything to matching colors. He left our laundry room and garage nearly spotless. I highly recommend reaching out to Sergio for drywall repair needs. Our damaged area is about 30 square feet or so its probably too large a scope for most painting contractors and maybe a handyman. Its best to work with a specialist in drywall like Sergio and pay a little extra for the paint job afterwards.

These are the contractors you fear you will get when you start a home remodel. They are…read moreinexperienced and do very poor work. We hired Pacific Remodeling and Design for a large home remodel. We removed two structural walls, moved a kitchen, and changed our windows and flooring, and moved the laundry inside from the garage. All of the new walls and ceilings are uneven. Look at the right side of curio cabinet. Our range hood can't sit flush because the ceiling is off an inch over a 3 foot span. They used multiple different white paint colors on our ceiling, showing lines in the light. I selected knockdown texture for our walls and ceiling, which they sprayed on but never "knockdown." Subsequently, it looks like I have popcorn ceiling. Structurally, they opened up areas in my flooring and never tied the joists back together, just left giant holes with plywood and wood flooring over it. Subsequently, the floor sunk beneath your feet when you walked over it. They also did a terrible job installing my flooring; having bad cuts and not temperature acclimating the hardwood floor. In my new laundry room, they vented the dryer to free spew debris into the attic. They replaced the insulation in my attic with insulation for walls, causing us to spend thousands on the right kind of insulation. In the kitchen, they installed our flush mount kitchen sink wrong, not per specs, causing a gap between the cabinet and sink. They installed our kitchen faucet wrong, not using the included "key" to clean debris from the water line before install (a normal thing to do), subsequently clogging my $1,100 faucet so it didn't work. They didn't hit the "knockout" in the garbage disposal, again.. a normal thing to do upon install, so our dishwasher didn't work. They left us hanging on those repairs, my husband and another contractor fixed them. They hung a gorgeous Mahogany door crooked in a square opening. We spent hundreds of dollars with a door company to rehang it. Lastly, Moran missed in his bid that we were enlarging the space for our windows to meet egress. He later demanded more money for this work because he hadn't caught what was clearly in the architect drawings when he bid the job. Around every corner was an issue with these inexperienced contractors. We've paid thousands of dollars to repair their shotty work.

I have contacted the contractor, and he refused to visit onsite to inspect and/or take any responsibility. He tells me I can contact the sub-contractor but he no longer works with him. I have met with a couple siding/stucco companies onsite to get their opinions. They are concerned water is getting into the building, potentially along the expansion joint.
