Very unprofessional had a baby shower last Saturday me and my twin sister, this lady showed up to my baby shower late her daughter was rude too, this lady took money to pay for someone else venue, took me and my sister baby's ultrasound pics, food was bad people complained and got sick, she didn't make our cake, disrespected people at my party cause people was complaining about her food. She made several threats saying when me and sister give birth to our kids she will come after us so we now r facing small claims court.... This lady is crazy and I repeat do not do business with her. BTW, if you purchased a Groupon, you can call them and tell them of your horrific experience and they will gladly refund you. To say this is a business is stretching it in every sense of the word. There's no storefront. It's a house that you bang on the door and get a face full of attitude from or your order handed to you in TIN FOIL PANS. I purchased a $15 Groupon for a dozen specialty cupcakes. What a waste of money! The cupcakes were very, very small, uninspired, and tasteless. After eating two, the remainder were thrown away. My experience was not positive and regretfully I agree with the reviews here. Rose made a different cake than what I asked her to make. The outside of the cake was fine (it had some technical flaws, but whatever) but I had specific instructions for the inside of the cake - 6 colored layers for a rainbow look. When I ordered the cake on the phone, Rose said she could do this. I also sent her an email with pictures of the cake to confirm my order, and she said she can do this. But when I cut into the cake, it was totally different than what I ordered. I am extremely disappointed at the way the cake turned out and have tried to contact Rose, but have heard nothing back. Very Very Bad Bussiness!! Never again! Me and my twin sister planned a royal baby shower with Rosa, we payed her 800 dollars for her to decorate cook the appetizers and also are cake and candy buffet. She was late to the venue and the shower started at 2pm and she showed up at 1:30 nothing was decorated we didn't even have a cake or candy buffet. She brung 3 tables no chairs, she was very unprofessional. My family and friends came up to me saying the food was cold and not cooked all the way. I was really embarrassed, she had an additude and said she did nothing wrong. She was full of excuses. We asked for a candy buffet she brung a half bowl of candy. We never got our cake at all. I pre ordered a custom cake for my son's 6th birthday. It was a themed party and the owner stated she could make the cake that I wanted and deliver it the day if the party for an additional $10. 3 days before the party she requested payment. I complied. She confirmed the cake would be there. Well the cake never showed!! I had a party with 16 6 year olds and no cake!! I never received a phone call. I had to call and ask where was the cake. She claimed they were delayed on delivery by over an hour. But a phone call would have been nice so I could have at least ran to the store and got me a cake elsewhere. After the hour of waiting I called again and she said her delivery person was lost and there would be no way it would arrive on time. No apologies or anything! She didn't even offer a refund! When asked if we could have the cake anyway she never returned our calls. I doubt the cake was even made. This is a horrible business and after much arguing with the owner we were finally able to get a refund. But my son's birthday was ruined! Do not do business here! read more

This lady is very unprofessional and seem to be off in the head. This so call professional business woman did a baby shower that looked like she got everything from the dollar store. I am not saying there's anything wrong with the dollar store but she lead us to believe she was ordering everything online. The crazy woman was rude and provided us with old food. Also there was food that was not cooked all the way. The decorations was cheap and not complete. Also we asked her to give us a feel of a royal red carpet event and she put down a folded red sheet as the carpet. Very very disappointed. Purchased a Living Social coupon for 2 dozen custom cupcakes for $40. Thought I would give it a try since they included free delivery. First mistake was that I purchased this blindly without having tried the cupcakes for a party I was hosting. The delivery was 1/2 hour late and the frosting on the cupcakes were melted. Not sure why they don't deliver in refrigerated trucks??? I had to put the cupcakes in the fridge for an hour before serving. My guests took one bite and threw them away. I was mortified. I know I would have had better cupcakes if I made them myself using Betty Crocker or Duncan Hines instant cake mix. These cupcakes were doughy and flavorless. I will never ever use this company again and will spend the extra money and effort going to a respectable bakery for my next party. A special cake was ordered for my grandson's 5th birthday at Sacramento Children's Museum. I mailed a deposit about 3 weeks in advance and the check was cashed within a few days. Two days before the party I called to confirm and was assured the cake would be there. Well, on the day of the party no one showed up with a cake and all my calls went to voicemail and never returned that day. Finally my sister and I ran to Safeway in 106 degree heat to buy a last minute sheet cake. The next day an apology call went to my voice mail saying the driver forgot to look in the right refrigerator and 2 deliveries were missed. Really?? She said she'd return my deposit and give a $100 credit on a future cake. When I asked about getting the cake that wasn't delivered she said her assistant would call. She never did and I don't believe the cake was ever made. After being told the refund was in the mail for 2 weeks and lots of run around I insisted on picking it up. She walked up to my car on her cell phone and handed my refund through the window and said nothing. How rude and unprofessional an encounter. Of course there was no more mention about a $100 credit on a future cake. This was especially disappointing because we ordered a beautiful cake for a baby shower with no problems. Rose Marie is quick to be defensive and tell you how many cakes she makes and how popular she is. This is true but we all make mistakes and it takes a big person to own up to it. I have been with Rose Marie Custom Cakes for a very long time. I order cakes from her for every special occasion and I have also referred her to many of my family and friends who had great experience with her. I order more than 10 20 cakes from her every year and I also order her holiday specials that she has as well and cupcakes! I love her cakes and she does a great job! DO NOT BELIEVE ALL THE FAKE AND NEGATIVE COMMENTS ON HERE BECAUSE IT IS NOT TRUE! Rose Marie's Cakes are very reasonable as well and she has helped me with last minute orders and a last minute wedding cake! I love love everything that she does, she is very creative! When I first went to her I didn't even look her up on yelp it was a word of mouth kind of thing, a friend had told me about her because her mother in law told her and they all have ordered from her. My favorite flavor cake that I recommend from her is strawberry cake with fresh strawberry and banana filling! I promise you if you order from her you won't regret it!
