I recently started walking early in the morning around the park. It's beautiful and clean. Ample open spaces for picnics, soccer, kids playground and of course the entire sports complex for Baseball/ softball, pickleball, tennis, basketball courts, volleyball courts, racketball courts, 2 dog parks, and more!

We used to come to this park when we lived in the area many years ago. So when we recently visited we were surprised at how much it has changed! The playground was nice and they even have an "outdoor gym" if you are into that. The tennis courts were nice and they had plenty to use. The bathrooms are clean and plenty of parking.

This is a very nice sports complex. The sports complex has the following: Fenced-in amenities: - Four Full Basketball Courts - Volleyball Courts - Sand Volleyball Courts - Tennis Courts - Racquetball Courts - Baseball/Softball Fields Non-Fenced-in amenities : - playground - soccer fields (only for league play) - Rubber track (opposite side of canal) The place is very well kept. I rarely see any trash laying around. The only things I use is the basketball courts and the track. The track is located on the opposite side of the canal. If you plan on only using the track, there is parking located on 23rd ave and Peoria. Restrooms are located next to the track as well. The track is made out of rubber and is good in my opinion. There are some patches that needs to be fixed but it won't affect your run at all. There are four full-court basketball courts. Some areas of the courts have a few cracks and chips. The level of the court is slanted in some areas as well. Even with those minor things, all of the four basketball courts are fully operable. This sports complex used to charge a membership fee but they did away with that. I may be wrong but I think only members are able to rent out rackets, balls, etc.

Great park, although with them closing the homeless location in downtown Phoenix. More and more homeless are sitting under the bridge.

Yes Chuy H, they do. The courts are outdoors just south of the new Pickleball courts next to the volleyball courts. Try out Pickleball if you're already a Racquetball player. You'll have a blast!… Read more

The…read moreteachers know their stuff and I had a positive experience in most of my classes and with most of my professors. But that being said I absolutely would NOT recommend going here to a friend. At least not right now while they are so disorganized. I just graduated from Ottawa University's Masters of Counseling program and have been very frustrated and disappointed the last year and a half or so, ever since the longstanding director Dr. Hernandez left. The university has made no attempt to hire anyone else to help, leaving the former field placement director, Dr. Thomas, in charge of his role as field placement director/professor, as well as all the responsibilities of the program director. Clearly, no matter how well-intentioned or how good Dr. Thomas was at his job, taking on more roles than one can reasonably handle is not fair to the students. I have certainly still paid the same amount in the last 1.5 years+, but have gotten considerably less value. Trying to reach Dr. Thomas, whom you need to be in contact with concerning various parts of licensure, has been nothing short of ridiculously difficult. From speaking with other students in classes over the past year and a half or so, I can say with confidence everyone has had the same experience of having a very difficult time getting a response to emails/calls. In fact, someone who walked the stage in May with me (but they had finished with their classes and exams and graduated in December of last year) actually brought a form with him to the graduation ceremony that he needed Dr. Thomas to sign because he was not able to reach him all spring. Not getting that form signed meant his licensure date got pushed back and thus he got paid less at his job, despite meeting all the requirements needed to be a LAC, all because he couldn't get ahold of our program director. Now, after I was told I needed to take my Comp exam in the Spring 1 term in order to have a May conferral (graduation) date, and busting my butt to study in order to do so and passing said exam, I have been told they made an error and that my conferral will be put off an additional 2 months. This means my ability to work and make money as a single mom has also been put off an additional 2 months. To say the administration has been less than helpful would be an understatement.

We used the valet parking as the signage was a bit unclear, so it seemed the easier solution than going up and down stairs to find Geordie's. The entrance had the open feeling of a grand house, with the wrought iron staircase and the beautiful ceiling, terracotta tiles and wood furnishings. There was a wedding party in the large restaurant area that we passed on the way to our table in a separate area. The table was set with care and the rose petals were such a thoughtful touch! As a European I was pleasantly surprised by a small velvet covered stool, placed by my side, for my purse: these touches made the evening even more memorable. No rushing to seat more people or a check arriving while still deciding if something else was going to be ordered. I do enjoy a real meal in a real restaurant, with table linens, linen napkins, the proper glasses, the good silverware. Nick was taking care of our table and was very attentive to anything we may have needed. The cocktails we had were the " Ready, Fire, Aim" with rye whiskey, Drambuie, St Remy and bitters, and the "Dr Vincent's Penicillin" with scotch, lemon, honey, ginger and Laphroaig spritz: both were delicious. For the meal I had the Risotto made with Carnaroli rice, oyster mushrooms, truffle and asparagus; for me the risotto was just a bit over but it was creamy and all of it eaten! The Scallop Ceviche was fabulous, thinly sliced served with auicos, sliced jalapeño, leche de tigre : my chile allergy wouldn't let me taste this dish, but my partner ate it all so definitely good :) The main course consisted of the prime Filet for me, cooked perfectly!! to my medium-rare with emphasis on rare, served on pommes purée and enjoyed to the last bite; the other order was for the dry smoked Branzino (sea bass) with olive tapenade, artichoke and tomato: the fish was so moist and tasty, the skin crispy, and was presented beautifully. For dessert we shared the "Milk and Honey" which is a twist on panna cotta with brown buttercream and honeycomb. With dessert I had my usual after dinner espresso with a shot Sambuca to go with it. Thank you Nick for taking such good care of us. A perfect meal and ambiance for a special night

She was basically trying to deny a site change because Kelsey was confident I "already completed 50% of my hours", if she would have just checked my timesheet it clearly stated I was no where near 50% done... After completing my hours at my externship site I contacted career services to ask if there was any paperwork I needed to fill out or pick up from the school, Arianna told me no I just need to drop off my evaluation form. I drive 40 minutes with my intent to just drop it off, come to find out I need to fill out a graduation packet before I can turn in my evaluation paper... On top of that I was expected to run around the school collecting signatures from the different offices, I was there early enough for majority of them to not even be in the building yet, so I went home. I get a phone call later that day saying they really need the evaluation paper so I need to go back... After another 40 minute drive I was finally able to collect all the signatures I needed and all I needed was to pay for my cap and gown then I could finally leave this place in the dust... I had to come back the next day because they only accept cash... Before I even drove to the school I called ahead to make sure Lisa was present on campus and she would still be there by the time I showed up. I show up and miss girl is on lunch... now they're just playing games with me at this point. They send me up to career services again wanting to collect my payment but not a single person has access to the cap and gowns. "it says in the email to come after 3pm". Unless it's typed with invisible letters do enlighten me... I beg of you not to attend this school, do not give them any amount of your money!!

I was not informed that my course would be almost entirely online until the first day, after I had already driven all the way to campus. The program itself felt very disorganized and understaffed. At one point, the Assistant Dean was responsible for multiple classes at once, which made it difficult to get proper support. I experienced ongoing technical issues that I reported from day one, but they were not resolved in a timely manner. The day before an exam, the Assistant Dean pulled me aside and told me it looked like I would not pass her class. When I asked what I could do to fix the situation, I was told there was nothing that could be done even though my concerns had already been documented. I ended up going above her to get the issue resolved myself, but after that, I felt like I was treated differently. In addition to the academic challenges, I also dealt with subtle bullying and microaggressions from peers. I reported this to instructors, but no action was taken. I even overheard classmates discussing how I was going to fail, which was extremely discouraging and emotionally distressing. The only positive part of my experience was my advisor, who actually listened and tried to support me. Overall, the lack of communication, support, and accountability created a negative and, at times, hostile learning environment. For those considering this program, I would strongly encourage you to ask detailed questions about structure, support, and class format before enrolling.

Surgical Technology Program sucks. Every term there was an issue, during term 3 they had stated we needed to get vaccines, fingerprint clearance card, etc. and we weren't told how to do it at all and when they finally did show us "how to do it" it was deemed wrong and we payed for the wrong things.
