Wow - I can't believe I've never been here before! What a phenomenal recreational resource for Phoenicians! We were lucky to have the pickle ball courts to ourselves at 3:30 pm on a Saturday. AYKM? & yay for that b/c it was my first time, being taught by a very patient friend. This place has everything - as Stefon from SNL would say - tennis courts, baseball fields, playground, soccer fields & this cool setup sponsored by AARP that features gym equipment & uses the program "Fitlot." Fitlot is a national nonprofit that helps parks program their equipment. So there's a QR code on equipment for more info to connect to their website AND there are visuals on equipment that show how to use it. I didn't understand how this park could possibly be on 150 acres! then I found a bridge that crosses over the canal & leads to the east side of the park w/ more soccer fields. So yeah this park is humongous! The only thing it doesn't have is a skate park. I think they could integrate that in to the design since there IS so much room. There are signs saying skateboarding is not allowed. Which makes sense when there's not a dedicated space, But skateboarding has become popular for people of all ages, so can yall update? Ample open spaces for picnics, soccer, kids playground and of course the entire sports complex for Baseball/ softball, pickleball, tennis, basketball courts, volleyball courts, racketball courts, 2 dog parks, and more! read more

We used to come to this park when we lived in the area many years ago. So when we recently visited we were surprised at how much it has changed! The playground was nice and they even have an "outdoor gym" if you are into that. The tennis courts were nice and they had plenty to use. The bathrooms are clean and plenty of parking. read more

This is a well hidden park that is a gem. I am so glad I found this place! I am a tennis player and PTC is awesome - right up the street from here - but they charge you. This is a great drop in option that is FREE and the courts are really nice, obviously they have been updated recently. There are lights, clean bathrooms, a snack shack and plenty of parking. And this place is popular, there are bball players, tennis, softball, soccer, pickleball, volleyball and racquetball peeps off and on every time we play there. I am impressed with all the updates and hope the city continues to offer this park for families and athletes like myself. If you are coming for tennis and plan to watch or play with a group, do bring lawn chairs or something with a back - there are no benches really. I also recommend you bring lots of water, there is city water but it's not super cold in the summer. Great park, although with them closing the homeless location in downtown Phoenix. More and more homeless are sitting under the bridge.

This is a very nice sports complex. The sports complex has the following: Fenced-in amenities: - Four Full Basketball Courts - Volleyball Courts - Sand Volleyball Courts - Tennis Courts - Racquetball Courts - Baseball/Softball Fields Non-Fenced-in amenities : - playground - soccer fields (only for league play) - Rubber track (opposite side of canal) The place is very well kept. I rarely see any trash laying around. The only things I use is the basketball courts and the track. The track is located on the opposite side of the canal. If you plan on only using the track, there is parking located on 23rd ave and Peoria. Restrooms are located next to the track as well. The track is made out of rubber and is good in my opinion. There are some patches that needs to be fixed but it won't affect your run at all. There are four full-court basketball courts. Some areas of the courts have a few cracks and chips. The level of the court is slanted in some areas as well. Even with those minor things, all of the four basketball courts are fully operable. This sports complex used to charge a membership fee but they did away with that. I may be wrong but I think only members are able to rent out rackets, balls, etc. read more

I love playing volleyball at this location. The grounds are very well-kept and there is a lot of parking. I especially appreciate that there is a water station for post-match cleansing -- my car appreciates that too. There appears to be ample space for a variety of activities and staff are very helpful. read more

This softball complex was named after the 18th Govenor of Arizona. Rose is 92, and still alive living in Globe. It a good location for softball tournaments. Various national orginaization hold tournaments here. I've been here coming here for 6 years, as I have three daughters playing club softball. Fields are well taken care of. They have fences (some softball complexes don't). Snack bar is full service. Try the breakfast burrito! Delicious! Parents, no alcohol allowed. Pets are allowed at the nearby dog park, but no pets on the softball grounds. Parking can be a bit of a problem during Saturday tournaments. However, by Sunday (as teams are eliminated) parking presure is limited. read more

So if you guys are going to close the dog park and not let people have access, don't get upset when i take my dog to one of the empty soccer fields to play fetch and practice some training off leash. I get that it's a park rule but that's what the dog park area is for. My dog is harmless and i felt discriminated because of my dog. The fact there was no one else around and we were minding our own business and off on the other end of the complex this maintenance guy spends so much time riding his little lawn mower over to me to ask me to put a leash on. What is this day in age. Place is a joke. read more

Great running track that is well maintained. The only issue I had was clueless kids (and adults) getting in the way of the multiple people running. Definitely not a good idea to go on a night where there are multiple soccer games! Overall though this is a great place to get in a quick run/walk! read more

Hey! Good news! I'm updating my review. You Picklers now have 3 brand new 'state of the art Pickleball courts' to use for free. I was there today Saturday, Jan. 27 2018, 9am to 12N for the gand opening and I can tell you this. These guys finally hit it out of the park with these competition grade, fenced in and lit beauties. I had recommended to them to check with the USAPA, (the PB sport's official governing body) that oversees all things Pickleball, for the exact specs and info. Apparently they must have. These are among the very best courts in the state of Arizona and beyond. I've experienced a variety of facilities, both indoor as well as outdoor and these exceed some of the best ones. They pretty much got it right the first time. They're a joy to play on and once you try them you won't have to look elsewhere, promise! Besides they welcome feedback from anyone using them. Please take the time to look at the big board to the right before you approach the court area. You can put stickers in the appropriate blocks to say which times and days you're likely to use these great courts. That's just for feedback. Oh by the way carry along some lawn chairs. Enjoy!
