Rose Radiology is now Akumin. I used its services at Boot Ranch location 3 times, and the overall experience was positive. Through my insurance company website, I compared copay among several imaging centers nearby. Rose and PH MRI are comparable on cost. I eventually picked Akumin because it is a larger corporation in term of resource and service locations. I checked in 15 min prior to my appointment. I was quickly registered and called in for my procedure. The facility has shown some age but was overall clean and machines operated well. My technician was very thorough asking questions and explaining procedures clearly. My MRI was done in 20 minutes. Check in staffs were very friendly. Big thanks to Terisa who helped me with my lengthy questions. It is very helpful for patient to register Akumin patient portal to retrieve imaging result and report online. I read other reviews regarding doctor not receiving report in time; With the access of portal, the issue can be resolved easily. The online schedule system was convenient but I strongly recommend calling in instead. The call center representative helped me with my appointments. Have your document ready and bring a lot of patient. It took me about approx. 10 minutes each call to register the appointment on the phone excluding waiting time. Both time the representative made mistakes inputting information. So it is helpful to have your doctor's phone/fax information with you and reconfirm with the front desk at your check in. Unlike Baycare, there are no confirmation/reminder texts or emails from Akumin. If you miss the appointment, there will be a penalty. read more

They are Akumin now. Had an open MRI with them on 2/22/23 and they didn't have the result on line as of 3/1/23. My doctor called them to ask for an immediate read and couldn't get that for 2 hours, so my doctor appt was a complete waste of time. I called to ask why they didn't let me know that it wouldn't be ready ( I gave clerk time of Dr. Visit to ensure results would be ready) and was told they had IT issues. They claim they had no idea it hadn't been read and had no way of knowing, which I find shocking in this electronic age. Makes me think they are not reliable and untrustworthy. Wouldn't recommend them, although folks in office seem very nice. read more

I called and the nightmare began. First, if they cannot answer the phone you have 2 options: 1. Keep hitting 0 every 30 seconds to stay on the line waiting 2. Leave a message for someone to get back to you Well, after hitting 0 a dozen times I someone picked up the line. I am not someone to waste anyone's time and I explained the procedure I needed. The lady who answered the phone was very rude and cut me off a couple of times while we were speaking. Talk about a bad customer experience. I would not go there based on the lady who answered the phone. I called Palm Harbor MRI and spoke with a pleasant lady who helped me book an appointment for the same week (Rose was booking more than 1 week out). Rose also seems to be in the process of changing their name. I wonder why? read more

I read the reviews and think most folks are just unreasonable. I have had 3 MRIs at the Boot Ranch location and am setting up a 4th. My insurance has NEVER covered any of my MRIs despite back surgery. I think all insurance carriers are problematic. I also realize that billing is a smoke and mirrors game in medicine. If you need an MRI, then this location has an open unit that is very nice if you are claustrophobic. The staff has always been very professional and my scan results are quickly sent to my physician. I also have had the opportunity to pay as a "cash pay" which I do every time! It is just not worth waiting weeks for my insurer to delay and decline when I can just pay a relatively low amount to get my MRI done quickly, conveniently and professionally. read more

Went for a number of Xrays and they were spot on with accepting my information as soon as I entered the building. Masks are required. Diana the tech came and was excellent and quick as she handled all the Xrays. Right in, right out! Excellent service today and also two months ago when I came also with pneumonia!! read more

I had to go there after their machine in Tampa was down for two days. This after being unable to get it done after going for my appointment at their Kennedy office. I was told my appointment was at 4:45, when it turns out it was actually at 5pm. They pad the 15 minutes so you can show up to do paperwork. I understand that, but I'm a person who shows up a little early anyways, so I was there at 4:35, and I had no paperwork to do, since it had been done the day before. At about 5:25 I called the phone number on their wall if you've been waiting more than 30 minutes. It directed me to someone else. I called that person, who was in her car, having already left. Her immediate response was that it wasn't 30 minutes. By the time we finished discussing that, it was 30 minutes, she had no information because she was in her car headed home. She promised to call in to the desk, and to determine what happened the next day and call me back. Tiffany never did call me back. I finally had to call her today. In the end, they were apparently running nearly an hour behind. I understand things like that happen, but when I went to the window to ask, they feigned ignorance, promised to see what was going on, but never let me know. A little communication would have gone a long way, but that broke down consistently across the whole process. I won't be going back. read more

I have been going here for several years for a lot of different tests. I have never had any problems at all with the staff, they have always been very polite and professional, I do agree that they could use a better phone system, when I call I get please try later, if you are that busy that you can't book appointments then hire someone just for that purpose. My insurance company sent them a bill for service and because they sent the wrong claims number to their billing department I am now suffering with 5,000 medical bill on my credit. I will never use this service and recommended no other person use it l, especially our elder community. read more

Be forewarned that in the era of Covid-19, precautions are not taken seriously at this facility. I had to wait an hour past my scheduled appointment time, in a waiting room with 7-8 other people. Thankfully everyone was wearing masks, but I heard people coughing and sneezing around me. The chairs are spaced out a little more than they had been, but I felt like I was sitting in a petrie dish of infection. Other medical practices have you wait in your call and then they call you in or they could have called and let me know that they were running an hour behind. I feel like three months of carefully socially distancing has been thrown out the window. Once I was finally called, my experience with the staff, who did wear masks, was fine. read more

Very disappointing customer experience. Could not get appts for several weeks. Then day of appt they called to say that insurance need third party approval. We said we would pay but they said we already gave appt away. They failed to file insurance info timely causing even more delay in getting needed MRI. They also never forwarded the results to the doctor. Plenty of other options for people and I would recommend you look at others. read more

This place is a huge money making scam. They incorrectly billed my insurance and made fraudulent claims. Thank goodness someone finally reported their unethical behavior, as I hear the government is now forcing them to pay more than $8 million for false billing of medical procedures and kickback. read more

Rose Radiology has sold out and is now Aukumin. I have been using Rose for 15 years. Aukumin is horrible. There is incompetence on so many levels. I will go elsewhere for any and all radiology needs. It is too bad that such a successful practice is now so bad, so quickly. read more

If I could pick zero stars, I would!! My husband signed paperwork authorizing me to access his medical records. When I called to say that I would be picking up a CD of his x-rays at the end of the week, I was told he didn't sign paperwork. He called and told them to have a copy ready for me to pick up 3 days later. I arrive and they have no record of him signing, him calling or me calling. The office staff is RUDE!!!!! I ended up waiting for over 10 minutes for the CD. I spoke to the office manager who asked for names of the staff we spoke to. I explained everything and even pointed to the one lady sitting next to her that was rude. She had no facial expression and just said ok. Didn't try to talk to me about it. Didn't apologize for her staff. Didn't say she would deal with it. NOTHING. AND I'm not even a patient there. AND will never be!! read more

absolutely the worst ever. these people are incompetent. cant schedule anything correctly.. dropped the ball and when do get a test not done correctly requiring more out of pocket and testing. they are not friendly and do no know how to offer correct customer service. staff is incapable of following up on any problems and then you are promised a call from a supervisor and you are given the run around. they have not gotten better over the years they have the same issues as years ago. very upset my insurance company keeps using this company. they are below basic standards and dont trust anything they produce. I got CT angio head and neck w/o contrast and the technologist was incompetent and did not run the dye at the right time and no arterial blood flow seen anywhere so doctor needs more testing and then again have difficulty scheduling and dont understand the concept of heart monitoring systems are incompatible with MRI and have to coordinate removal for testing. constantly inconvenienced and it does not help to call them several times for followup and have the doctor call because they have a stupid policy can only talk to doctors once. this place is an absolute nightmare read more

The services were fine. However, I called prior to scheduling to confirm cost. I was told my insurance would cover the procedures with no out of pocket cost. Then I received a bill for $238. I called the billing service and was told I had to call the facility if I had an issue. I called the facility and left messages for the supervisor for 3 days. When I spoke to her she told me that once I was billed there was nothing I could do about it and sent me back to the billing service. Now I'm stuck paying a bill for a service I would have skipped had I known the cost. Also, I had the same procedures 2 years ago and paid out of pocket. That time it cost $50 less than I have to pay with insurance. I know they mark up cost when you have insurance, but it went from $180 to $1015.92 for the same procedures. That seems unreasonable. I would not go back to this facility in the future. Also, get cost in writing before you go in. read more

LAZY STAFF!!! Jeez, I wish I'd read all these negative reviews before going there. Not impressed. For my X-ray, I asked the technician for a thyroid guard. She said "Well, there aren't any in this room". I said "Well OK, are there any in the building that I could use?" She repeated that there wasn't one in the room and then said after a long pause, "OK, I'll go get one". She was back in all of 20 seconds with a thyroid guard. What the? Such great customer service, huh? So lazy and unhelpful. It was so close and easy to get, yet she just didn't want to be bothered. Then, I went to check out and I asked the LAZY woman there for a copy of my X-ray and report and she had me fill out an envelope for them to mail me the report, fine, and then I asked if it would include a digital copy of the X-ray and she said no....then paused and looked like she had something to tell me. I waited a few moments looking at her and then asked if I could get a digital copy of my X-ray. She finally said yes, she'd make me a copy of it right then. LAZY! She wouldn't/didn't offer this to me knowing that's what I wanted - she held back because it would take her all of about 45 seconds to do! Jeez! NEVER GOING BACK. read more

In my opinion, this truly is as good as it gets. The office staff is all friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They answered my questions and provided information and suggestions about the best time to come since I didn't have an appointment and wanted the x-rays done as soon as possible. It took weeks to get the authorization right which was the fault of my Doctor's office. However, this resulted in one cancellation but we were finally scheduled for the upright MRI. We got called back to the window to be told that the stent that my husband has implanted would not allow the test to be done. Not once in the numerous calls, did Rose Radiology ask if my husband had a stent. Don't you think if this is a reason that could jeopardize the test, someone would have asked the question? I am very disappointed with Rose Radiology and will not recommend them to others. read more

I've been going to Rose Radiology for years & everyone is extremely friendly & professional. I require IV sedation for my MRI's & they are one of the only radiology practices in the area that offer this in their facility. They also have a "sitting" MRI machine. I have my yearly mammograms performed here every year. I've never had any issues with billing or my appointments. I recommend them & will continue to go to them for all my radiology needs. read more

Today, I had an appointment for an MRI for my elbow. My appointment was for 5:30 and I got to the office at 4:55. The clerk at the office asked me if I did not know that my appointment was at 5:30 because I was to early. I told her that I knew it but I decided to come early to the office. She was rude. She gave me some papers to complete and when I checked the description of my procedure, I saw that she had me scheduled for an MRI for my ankle and not for my elbow. When I informed the clerk about it, she said don't worry because my order said my elbow. The clerk asked me for the payment of $162.01 dollars that I paid immediately because 3 days before the appointment they called me to let me know the amount. I was called for the test and after getting ready I sat in the waiting room. After I waited for a while, the tech came and informed me that they could not find the MRI order. She told me that they would call my doctor's office for the order. After waiting for a while, they informed me that they could not get the order and I would need to re-schedule my appointment. I asked them to give me back my money and that I did not want to re-schedule my appointment. After the clerk said that she would return the money, she came back and told me that she could not give me my money back because the finance person was gone for the day. She informed me that I would need to come back the following day to collect my money. It is very sad that an office like this treats people as a number and not as a human, and to show compassion for a sick person like me. read more
