You came in, paid them the money, and left. They were a little brusque and determined to get that money upfront, as if they're used to being stiffed (no pun intended). They're one of the cheapest cremation services in town (even cheaper if you arrange it in advance), and you get what you pay for. They didn't screw anything up, they just give you the very basic service and send you on your way. Everything else cost extra. Even putting the ashes in an urn you brought in costs $40 or something that I considered annoying. Any way they can upcharge, they will, but It's not like they're pushy. They're just not friendly or charming or even particularly sympathetic, and it can be kind of hard for some people who are suffering from a loss to deal with someone who seems... cold. Additionally, they screwed up when we made the appointment and forgot to tell us we had to bring in various documentation (and that if there are siblings, more than half of them have to fill out the same form agreeing to the cremation, not just one person, even if that person is the executor), so it was a bit of a hassle in the beginning and we had to come back. Again, it was fine but I personally would've rather paid a little bit more money for real service and compassion.

We contacted tribute Cremation Society and they cremated him. The Cremation took a day longer than they thought it would. It was supposed to be done on Thursday instead of Friday. This of course caused issues with the planning of my brother Terry's memorial service and getting the ashes. When my brother picked up the ashes he was yelled at and berated! The lady also called up my sister, whose husband had just passed, and yelled at and berated her. Now there was an issue with confusion in the stress of the memorial service but to be yelled at by the people that are caring for your dead is absolutely deplorable! Here we are hurting because we've lost a loved one and the company that was there too cremate him lashed out at us and told us to never contact their company again!
