We recently went to this office for my dogs dental surgery. While other offices quoted us 2500+ for the surgery, which prevented us from getting the care our pup needed, this office did it for a fraction of the cost enabling us to get the care we needed for our dog. Additionally, they handled her with care, were super nice, provided after care medication, and heart murmur medication for the best price we've ever seen. Without this office we would have had to put our baby down early because we couldn't afford the care anywhere else. 10/10 would recommend this facility. The office staff doesn't judge or up-charge you when caring for your babies they truly care about animals and their owners. read more

I feel completely awful that i left a prior poor review because Dr. Rosebrock really is the BEST! I was just so frustrated when I could not get anyone to answer the phone and then put on hold indefinitely. I was in tears all weekend over not knowing what to do for my dog's severe anxiety. When I say severe, I am not exaggerating. He is just on and off, all day, every day, shaking, crawling up walls and trying to crawl under and behind things he cannot fit into. I did receive a call back this morning telling me how much more of the meds I can give my dog. Since the max stated only 2 per day I was too scared to give him more. Now I know I can give him twice as much per day according to the message the office left me. I tried to call back just to confirm that I understood the message correctly, but of course no answer. I suppose that's what I get for being in the restroom when I received the call. To be fair though, she did warn me in her message that they were short handed. I imagine it is difficult to answer the phone when you're the only one there. At any rate, you should know that the two names I remember Dakota and Shannon I believe are extremely kind and respectful, so I imagine the poor phone service comes from Dr. Rosebrock being such a great Vet. they are so busy and with what I've seen only one or two people working the office, I imagine it is difficult to take the time to answer the phone. I just wish they would allow us to leave a message. I just pray this is amount of medicine is going to work. Otherwise, back on the phone. I just want to apologize to Dr. Rosebrock. Neither of my reviews have anything to do with him as a Veterinarian, because I couldn't ask for better. It's really all about the phone service. So if you want the BEST, most experienced Vet., you will not be disappointed, you just may have to have some patience with their phone service. read more

I took my newly adopted kitty for his first "well baby" check up with Dr. Rosebrock last week. Maitea LOVED him! The office is rustic, rural and just perfect. My cat was pretty relaxed for a Vet visit! Charla and the rest of the staff obviously love what they do and Jack the greeter cat was definitely the Office Manager. Dr. Rosebrock looks like the Aggie version of Sam Elliot and his innate way of relating with animals is awesome. His no nonsense way of practicing medicine is in complete alignment with mine. I used to think Rosebrock was so awesome. But now I can't believe I went TWENTY TWO YEARS as his client THINKING he was such a great vet. My story is long, but it's true. My little Chihuahua that Rosebrock had taken care of from the age of 10 weeks old, had an issue with her right hind leg. I had an appointment with him, but when I brought my dog in, Rosebrock had already left for the day but never had the decency to contact me to let me know he was leaving. He had the receptionist hand me 4 syrnges of Adequan Canine Injections & send me on my way. Without an examination. Pippa was 7 years old & within 1 month, she had full blown dementia. I took her in so he could see the drastic change in her personality. He looked over the top of his glasses as he observed her walking on the floor, unaware that I was calling her because she no longer knew her name. As he looked at her, he said, "Well, she's a senior now & SOMETIMES THINGS LIKE THIS JUST HAPPEN." She was only 7 years old. That's not a senior when it comes to a Chihuahua. Pippa also suffered from 19 days of paralysis a few months later. Both the dementia & the paralysis were side effects from that drug. Now she has permanent neurological damage because of him. I'll never forgive him for what he did & the callous, rude way he behaved when I came to him in desperation, so afraid for my baby girl. He NEVER called me back to check on her. The lady at the front desk said I WAS SUPPOSED TO CALL HIM TO RANDOMLY TELL HIM HOW SHE WAS. I won't name her, but she has been working there between 15 & 20 years. I called her one day to espress my anger towards Rosebrock's incompitence & to tell her that I looked him up (it's public record guys) & that I knew he had been reprimended by the DVME numerous occasions for being impaired while practicing medicine. This woman KNOWS because she has worked for him for so many years. She was very rude & told me, "I'm not going to listen to this. I have clients waiting to have their pets seen by Rosebrock." WOW!! What uncaring people they are at that clinic. Everything people THINK they have in Rosebrock & his staff is nothing but the game face they put on. It's not real. They DO NOT CARE!! The people who have such great things to say haven't lost their pet due to practicing medicine WHILE IMPAIRED. Read it all for yourself. Look it up. It's public record. All you have to do is look up his license # & you'll see it everything. Read it all. I pray others will actually read my review & decide not to ever trust him with their pet & I pray his current patients will be no longer after they read this. Before taking your pet to this veterinarian, please read what I have to say. My Yorkshire terrier has died a horrible death due to Dr. Rosebrock. Not a day goes by that I'm not sick to my stomach. Thinking about what he did to my dog. It's been about a year now and I'm finally ready to make public what he did. My Yorkshire terrier's name was Lola. She was four years old. She was a healthy pup going in The morning I dropped her off to get spayed That afternoon, when I picked her up, was the beginning of a nightmare. I walked. I walked in the office at pick up time, and a woman comes from out of the back with my 6 pound Yorky, soaking wet and lethargic. They did not send me home with paperwork. They did not send me home with any sort of antibiotic or pain medication and that should've been the first red flag. After about an hour of her being home and unable to even lift her head, I called the vet up and I ask where was the discharge paperwork? What am I supposed to do? Is there anything I should be looking out for? She doesn't seem to be doing well and they said that they do not send home dogs with pain medication, and unsure why I didn't get any discharge paperwork. The phone call was weird. It was almost as if they were mad at me for calling. That night we go to bed and early in the morning around 3 AM I wake up, and my Yorkies eyes are rolled behind her head and she is completely out of it and not functioning. We rushed her to the emergency vet in Austin and they said that her numbers were so low. Her vitals couldn't even pick up on the readers.. They said that she was in severe pain and they weren't sure what was going on but that They will keep me posted. Later that morning, they called Dr. Rosebrock To try to get some more information on the surgery. Apparently they didn't do any pre-surgery bloodwork they put her under to do the procedure and gave her vaccines Without making sure her little body could handle what they were about to do. Her body failed and couldn't handle the stress of the procedure and the vaccines and then the pain of the procedure left untreated with no pain medication. The first time she was rushed to the emergency emergency vet in Austin. She was there for about 3 to 4 days. She came home was never really the same about three weeks later she was rushed back to the emergency vet in Austin.. She was there for a few more days and they decided that she'd have to be on a steroid for the rest of her life because her body wanted to continually shut down from the stress of the procedure. This was about 11 months ago and a few months ago, Our sweet Lola on Christmas morning died. This vet has no business working on animals. My 10 year old daughter still more the loss of her puppy, and it makes me sick to think this man is still in business. Do your research -- he lost his vet license due to working on animals under the influence about a decade ago. I'm not saying that is what happened in this case, but what I am saying is that he should be shut down. I'd also like to add that he did cover both emergency vet bills in Austin which were thousands of dollars. I'm not sure if he thought I would wipe it under the rug because of that but now that she's passed, I will never forgive him. Rest in peace sweet Lola. read more

Both of my pets were misdiagnosed and died as a result. He's cheap and might be fine for vaccinations and such, but if your pet is sick, go somewhere else. It's worth it, to prevent an unnecessary death. Also, the woman at this front desk is a monster. read more

I will start off by saying Dr. Rosebrock is amazing and always has been. Me and my family have gone to them for over 15 years. Although, I will say, their front desk clerk, Charla, it's so unpleasant every time I go in there. She lacks empathy and is always extremely stressed out whenever I go in there which makes it extremely uncomfortable to be around. I have heard from many other people say how unpleasant and rude they think she is. She also made an extremely inappropriate comment in front of me and another customer today about wanting to "shoot her self in the head" because she was so stressed out from her job. WOAH????? Even though I have gone there for many years I will no longer be going there if she works there. The reason I stepped foot into the office today was to let them know that five of our family dogs have contracted kennel cough even though each of them have been vaccinated with Bordetella through Dr. Rosebrock's office. I was not looking for an appointment, just more to let them now that this has happened. Charla insisted I bring my dogs in immediately for an exam to get them checked out even though I already knew exactly 100% what they had because my moms dogs had it AND because I also have 4+ years experience working at a vet! I was just going to let them ride the virus out. She told me my mom's dogs came in and got anabiotic's, so I felt like I should do the same thing, and then I called my mom to find out that that was NOT true at ALL and my mom never came in to get antibiotics for her dogs for kennel cough. As much as I love supporting local, I find it very hard to support dealing with this. I will sadly be moving onto another clinic even though Dr. Rosebrock's office is quite literally my neighbor and on the other side of my fence of where I live and they've treated my animals since I was a little girl. We brought our baby home yesterday. We asked that she be cremated and I can't say enough about the services rendered. She came in a beautiful wooden box with her name carved into it. Also included was a certificate of when she was cremated and some very heart felt "pet poems". We placed her on the mantle with her collar on top so she can be with us in the living room. I hope that there is a doggy heaven and we can see her again.............best dog we've EVER owned and its still a punch in the gut every morning. read more

He and his wonderful staff care more about your special family member than they do about achieving million dollar revenues. It's not fancy, you probably won't be offered a cappuccino while you wait, but the care both you and your furry friend will receive is priceless. Dr. Bob is an amazing diagnostician and because he treats a much wider variety of animals, is usually able to offer more than one treatment option. Our three dogs are SO much healthier and happier, after being treated by Dr. Rosebrock, for gum disease, thyroid, arthritis, aging, chronic bronchitis and skin diseases. OUR BANK ACCOUNT is happier as well, and as retirees, we need all the trimmed costs we can get. If you want to remain a customer here, do not take your pet anywhere else other than Dr. Rosebrock. We didn't know this and took our dog to a mobile clinic because it's more cost effective since we have 3 dogs. When we took our dog for his next visit, Dr. Rosebrock rudely told us "We were fired!" and to leave his office. It was a very embarrassing ordeal and were treated so bad! He should let you know beforehand he doesn't allow you to take your pets for vaccines other than him. We had been with Dr. Rosebrock for about 8yrs and to be treated like this is awful. My 2 year old girl had been to multiple vets for her skin and hypoglycemia. Rosebrock took a before picture at our first appointment. On our follow up 3 months later he took an after photo. Up until today, Rosebrock have been good to my mom and her cats, and would have easily received a 4/5 Star Review. However, one of her cats was given flea treatment on Friday using Adams Spot-On and DIED on Sunday, and her other cat has been crying non-stop for an hour this morning (after receiving the same flea drops on Sunday - before the other cat died), and not only will Rosebrock not see my mom for an EMERGENCY, they will not accept the body of her dead cat for a necropsy ordered by the ASPCA Poison control. MY vet in North Carolina has ALWAYS worked us in for any emergency and, after speaking with my vet in North Carolina and the ASPCA vet, this IS an emergency. Sorry Rosebrock, your (lack of) compassion is appalling. read more
