A special thank you to Michelle, who took such great care of us. She was patient, gentle, and made both my cat and me feel comfortable throughout the visit. My cat is friendly and loving, and she treated him with genuine kindness and respect. They performed a thorough examination and blood work to make sure nothing serious was going on. Thankfully, they didn't find any concerning issues, and I really appreciated how thorough and thoughtful they were. Out of all the veterinary clinics I've visited in Texas, this is by far the best one I've been to in the Austin area. The level of care, professionalism, and compassion they provide is outstanding. She even gave me some good tips to help with some skin irritation of including fish oil pills to her diet. Getting a good dose of omega-3's from a brand called Nordic Naturals. She even gave me a sample packet! She also told me to help with my dog's bad teeth that I could add a supplement to the water. It was nice to get good tips and feel well cared for in this clinic. A lady in the waiting room said she brings her dogs in for chiropractor care! Amazing! A great veterinarian clinic I highly recommend this clinic!

But, I do tell people not to come to this office, and it's only fair I note why. I brought my dog in for chronic diarrhea. They gave me medication for him and did not test him further, even though he was an older dog. In the few months following, he was still getting bouts of diarrhea. I brought him in on a Friday afternoon. They took SIX x-rays of my dog. They told me that they could see some mild swelling, but weren't sure what it was. They told me I would need to book with their specialist on Monday. That evening, they called me and let me know that they were PRETTY sure my dog did not have cancer and that he would be okay to wait out Monday's appointment. The next day, my dog is acting strange but with reassurance from the vet-- I didn't trust my gut. That night, be projectile diarrheas blood all over the balcony. I rush him to an emergency vet. I get told my dog is riddled with cancer and that they're doing everything they can to keep him comfortable. They tell me I will have to learn how to IV him for his comfort. But, they soon realize that the masses on his kidneys had ruptured and the fluid had reached his lungs. $7k later, I lost my soul dog. I can't help but think that if Republic was more urgent or recommended me to go to an emergency vet Friday afternoon, I would've been able to have at least a few more months with him. For this, I can never forgive this practice or recommend them to anyone.

SOUTH PARK ANIMAL HOSPITAL is now owned by a VENTURE CAPITAL FIRM called National Veterinary Associates, which in turn is owned by JAB Holding company, JAB has tripled in size since it started buying up vets and charging confiscatory prices, taking advantage of our love of our pets. I gave them two stars because at least they did my cat right and he's fine now. BUT they started burying me in pitch emails too, trying to feed fear about my cat's health, constantly trawling me for more money, more money, more money, all while pretending to care about my cat when they don't. If the people at South Park Animal Hospital really loved animals as much as they love MONEY, they wouldn't have sold out. But they did. I will never go back and suggest you don't start.

This time my cat wasn't feeling well and they actually were able to get me in for an appointment the next day. The space is pleasant in the waiting room. The exam room we went to was by a big window and my cat isn't really a window loitering type, but the bird feeder outside with lots of birds were of interest. Lol Both the vet tech and the vet were great. At my request, they even did all the tests in the exam room. They offered a game plan and weren't pressuring me to do more extensive tests. I'll definitely be back when I need my cats to get examined. I feel comfortable taking them to Zippivet for their vet care.

My dog had several surgeries with her and Dr. Guzman. We were referred for cancer treatment to another vet but Deep Roots has always been our home vet. Unfortunately, my dog Leo passed away and the Deep Roots team sent me his paw prints and his nose print with a sympathy card, it touched my heart. Recently we went back to have my cat checked, as usual the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly.

He was properly diagnosed by the Dr as having pancreatitis. This required two complete days of IV solutions. The doctor's explanation of issues and treatment was so complete. The staff members were so friendly. We will be coming h back here!

It was frustrating for us, but our dog was a minor emergency compared to animals who came in and were a higher priority and needed care. I can respect that! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Dr. Sam was honest and gave us a few options for care. We opted for stitches which would require overnight and sedation. He provided the estimate and talked us through all the options answers questions and being patient. Emergency vet visits are stressful, but he comforted by my dog and husband throughout the process. He did a fantastic job catering for our pup! The estimate ended being on the higher end so w did receive a refund. I hope we never have to return, but if we did, I know we are in good hands.
