They worked very closely with us to make sure that they could give us the vision that we wanted that was within our budget and even let us change things up until days before the wedding that we changed our minds about. We also had this idea of putting pomegranates onto our chuppah, which they set our expectations that it likely couldn't work structurally, but when we arrived on the day of the wedding they had made magic happen and the chuppah was decorated beautifully with pomegranates! They were super cool about us popping into the shop throughout the process and were just generally so lovely. I can honestly say I was very dissatisfied with my most recent Valentines Day order. When we got them, I noticed quite a bit of wilting and drooping in general, but didn't want to spoil the gift for my wife, so I just kept my mouth zipped and accepted it for what it was. But then the next morning I woke up to an incredibly sad looking flower arrangement and was just really shocked. They flowers were in such bad shape and it hadn't even been 24 hours, and my wife has a true green thumb. So I took some photos and reached out to the florist on few occasions with no response. I was completely shocked. Conclusion: I spent $200 on a Valentine's Day arrangement for dead flowers and a florist who didn't seem to have an ounce of customer service in them. Where to start with Pola (and her team). She was THE BEST!!!!! If I could have hired her to plan my wedding I would have. 1. Our wedding was "different" - very casual, no assigned seating, no bridal party, etc. Also I am a very crafty DIY person so I wanted to do the decor myself. Pola got that immediately and worked WITH me so that I got to do some things and she did all the harder things! I got to have my personal touch on every table!! She managed to incorporate into the gorgeous decor our books about Brooklyn (different ones on every table) and scrapbook paper (see below). 2. I told her we wanted to do this within a budget (after all... I was going to do this myself). Every single thing we talked about, she gave me 2 options and explained why one was cheaper. She also told me where I could do things myself - like for the signs she said "it would cost me $X, but often people just print out signs and put it in a fancy frame and you can save money that way." Also she NEVER tried to upsell me. She never once said "well many people like bathroom flowers". I would have to prompt her for additional things I wanted :) It made me feel SO comfortable. 3. She goes WAY beyond flowers. She is a crafter as well. I can't describe how AMAZING she was taking my idea for a scrapbook instead of a guestbook - it required pieces of paper for people to write us notes and I made a bird house for the notes - and turning it into something AMAZING. She thought through the logistics and convinced me to put paper on every table. And I thought she was going to cut white pieces of paper and she HAND MADE each piece of paper complete with little embellishments!! We're talking 100s of paper. I actually kept all the blank ones because they're so amazing. She chose amazing pens. As a result we got notes from almost everyone!!! I'm upset that I can't put pictures here of this amazingness but I am still blown away at how Pola did this and literally made the memories of my wedding possible (assuming I don't screw up the scrapbook part). 4. I hesitate to say this because I'm worried Pola will end up super busy, but she ended up dropping off the hair piece (that she suggested when I told her I considered a flower crown but I have an assymetrical haircut and then she designed something for my hair cut) AND picking up stuff from my apartment, unrelated to decor, and taking it to the venue just because! :) I ended up having to take almost nothing to the venue thanks to her!!! PS - Like another couple here, I called Pola and then had radio silence after a great conversation for a little over a week. I decided to persist though because it was PEAK wedding time when I contacted her (August) and a friend mentioned that florists often have MANY phone calls with people who never end up signing a contract! It must be tough - so I persisted and OMG I AM SO GLAD. read more

Pola and Delilah went above and beyond for our wedding at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden in September 2018. From the beginning, they were extremely responsive. We set up an appointment to talk about initial ideas and from there we were able to set up an official trial with gorgeous samples. The flowers were absolutely stunning, artistic, and better than I could've imagined. They set the mood at the gardens and elevated the atmosphere to the next level. They are very experienced and gave us great advice about how to set up the room and the tables. I was looking for a pre-made bouquet on the way to a birthday party. I walked in off the street and the Rosehip staff pointed me to one of their beautiful arrangements. It was exactly what I was looking for. When they started wrapping it up, however, they noticed a couple of the flowers had peaked and, while the flowers were not at all wilted, they were just not at 100%. Without my requesting it, they replaced those flowers with three or four blooms and it went from beautiful to gorgeous. All this for just $38. I was so appreciative of their attention to detail and their desire to produce a fantastic product. They could have up-charged for the newer flowers but they didn't. Lauren and Pola from Rosehip created such magnificent centerpieces and beautiful bouquets for my son and daughter-in-law's wedding at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden! The Palm House at night is a very dramatic setting and we wanted to let the setting itself shine through. They were able to capture exactly the vision we had expressed when we met to plan, with candle forward centerpieces (12 per table) accented with lush greenery and interwoven flowers. The room looked absolutely magical as night fell. They were familiar with the venue and how the tables were set (very full with 4 glasses per guest). The many glasses played beautifully off the candles with greenery and flowers!! The bridal and bridesmaids' bouquets were perfect in color and flower selection. Lauren and Pola were prompt and professional in responding to our emails and respectful of our budget while still creating a magical event. It was so reassuring to know we could count on them. This is much delayed but Pola and her assistant really did our wedding justice and made it perfect. Pre-wedding: She was very reasonable in her estimates and costing. She offered realistic expectations on what the venue should look like based on our style and preferences. She actually took off items or offered smaller bouquets for the tables and displays because she worked the venue frequently (MyMoon). She was always approachable and was very detailed and thoughtful in showing us the designs and planning before hand. During wedding: Pola and her assistant created a wedding display board for us (from chalk), decorated our seating area for the ceremony with greenery and also little bouquets in the hanging mason jars. She even put flowers around the DIY seating charts we did for the guests as well as our tables full of little favors and cameras. The arrangement is prefect and makes our style and the venue perfectly. She placed a beautiful arrangement around our little cutting cake and even put a bouquet with a courtesy basket in the bathroom. She placed a ton of candles and little votive jars everywhere to make sure the mood is perfect both inside and outside and at all times. She was also super helpful in making sure that our side DIY projects looked great and took time out of her busy set up to help us set up. I have walked by this shop for months now and decided to walk in the other day as I had recently been in the market for a plant for my apartment. I met Kate who was so warm and so helpful. I walked in set on getting a fiddle fig (of which I am obsessed with) but after looking at pictures of my apartment and the light we decided on a Snake Plant which could survive in the low light and will little care (I am so worried about killing the plant). I would give Pola & her staff 6 stars if I could! I got married at The Greenpoint Loft last weekend and the flowers were by far one of my favorite details of the wedding.
