I finally went to the office and was given a litany of excuses of why we didn't yet have a death certificate. My sister also left messages, over 6, and emails- none were responded to. My sister had left 3 more messages with no response so I went by yesterday to find out what is going on. The manager was very defensive and didn't want to take responsibility for anything. She said she talked to my sister that morning- she didn't- she left a message saying that the certificate was sent to her house in Santa Cruz- WITH the ASHES!!!!!! In the mail!!! We were supposed to pick up the remains in Santa Rosa. She had stated 3 plus weeks ago that the certificate would be sent overnight. That never happened. It is now Dec 30 and the Certificate and remains have not been delivered. Very unprofessional to say the least. I urge anyone thinking of using Neptune in Santa Rosa, CA to find another service as this one is horrible!! There is something very wrong with this branch I wish I could give a rating with negative numbers.

Monte Vista provided a great deal of comfort and care to our family, specifically through the efforts of Armando and Andy. Armando maintained consistent, clear communication with my family as we lay our beloved father to rest. With a heart full of gratitude, thanks to Armando, Andy, and the team at Monte Vista. We were able to hold a beautiful remembrance, and find comfort in the hardest chapter for our family.

Kelly Jr., home and to honor him in meaningful, dignified, and compassionate ways. The care, creativity, and dedication they poured into every detail--coordinating Tommy's return from the San Jose airport, organizing the Sunday lying in repose at their beautiful Livermore location, including the moving tributes by the local fire departments on the way, the funeral service, the procession through Livermore, the service at St. Michael's Cemetery, the press outreach, and help with the reception--was extraordinary. Their work reflected not just professionalism, but generosity and heart. They made us feel supported, seen, and understood during an emotional and significant weekend for our family. We are especially humbled by their offer to name the veterans memorial section at Monte Vista in Lt. Kelly's memory. We understand that T.W. Starkweather is the one with the vision, and we are deeply grateful to him for this honor to Lt. Kelly. This gesture speaks volumes about the care MVMG extends to the families they serve and their deep respect for those who have served our country. The kindness and efforts they extended to us will stay with us always. They helped us welcome our relative home with the honor he deserved--and gave our family a lasting sense of peace and pride. The cemeteries are on the south side of the street, starting just after you see "Christian World" Church & Childcare Center. St Michaels is very low profile, clean, and has a nice staff who do not hover. The grass is lush, green & evenly cut. There is one circular drive you can park on, 2 car park next to the office. The largest areas have grave markers. There are a couple of walls to hold your loved one's ashes. There seems to be niches still available. Across from the wall of niches the staff will erect a tent and chairs that can accommodate a small service. The weather can be pretty hot in Livermore, so shade is a must. It's plenty quiet and easy to hear people talking without microphones. Many people have placed plastic flowers, flags and a few children's toys and plastic jewelry on the grave markers. Feel free to bring an ipod with portable speakers or personal items of meaning for the service. The niche is slightly larger than the container of ashes and covered with a brass plaque so you can't see anything inside. You are left alone to do your own thing if you want for your memorial service. The niche brass name plates all match in a good way, weathering beautifuly like brass does. Each grave section has a sign saying "Garden of Love." This seems to be a good place to conduct non-denominational services. There is a chapel if you wish to have a more formal religious service.

Yesterday my grandmother passed away and I knew I wanted it to be handled here. My grandmother said to me that its just easier here and we are familiar with it so when the time comes just make it easy for yourself and choose the same place. So that's what I did. The funeral director met with me at 10:30am and I was done signing and choosing everything by 11:30am. I chose just cremation, no embalming, no pre-service or viewing, no viewing of the cremation, no casket or fancy urn, just the basic everything. I will get a nice urn later and have them transfer her from the temporary container to a nice urn i pick out online. Now you can go all out and select the most expensive everything but that is not what I did. I likely will have a service or rememberance a few months from now. The director who assisted me was very spft spoken, clear, and had a nice demeanor. All things that put you at ease when you are definitely not at ease. My one tip would be to call, make an appointment and be sure to bring the deceased birth certificate, and marriage certificate if you have them. It will help fill things out much faster. So grateful that this place is clear and transparent on costs, affordable in my opinion, and makes things easy!

Instead, we were met with shocking negligence. The embalming was done incorrectly, and at his funeral there were flies on his body and a foul odor so strong that even masks couldn't block it. Guests were visibly uncomfortable and left questioning the care he received. Afterward, the funeral home admitted the embalmer hadn't done the job correctly and that my brother still needed more time to be prepared -- yet they never told us beforehand. This robbed us of leaving our last memory with him in peace, turning it into something even more painful and traumatic. This was more than a mistake; it was a profound failure to treat a human being with the basic dignity he deserved. Their negligence has left us still living a nightmare, deepening our grief and leaving a wound that will never fully heal.
