Rosemead automotive does AMAZING work! Eldon and his team are very honest mechanics and will not overcharge or upsell you on anything.

Just noticed this shop now is closed on every Monday. Try to come here for major service of my three cars. See Elton & Cy. Danny soon.

Good place to get basic maintenance. As with all mechanics, be specific and ask how much first.

I originally brought my car in because of a grinding/scraping noise. I was told the wheel hub bearing was the problem, and I paid around $800 to have it replaced. About two to three months later, the exact same noise and problem came back. I returned to the shop and asked them to inspect it, expecting the previous repair to be honored or at least thoroughly re-evaluated. Instead, I was told it was a completely different issue that would require another repair and another payment. From my perspective, it was the exact same symptom that I originally paid to have fixed. I took the car to my family mechanic for another opinion. During the inspection, he found my engine oil level was nearly empty, even though this shop had performed my oil change less than 4 months earlier. He also didn't find any obvious signs of an external oil leak, which made me even more concerned. I understand that diagnosing cars can be challenging and that not every repair is guaranteed to solve a problem. However, paying around $800 for a repair that didn't resolve the issue, being told the recurring problem was something different and would require even more money to fix, and then discovering my engine oil was nearly empty after trusting this shop with routine maintenance left me very disappointed. As a repeat customer, I expected better service and more accountability when the same issue returned. To top it off, the handwritten receipt was extremely difficult to read, making it frustrating to understand exactly what work had been documented. Based on my experience, I won't be returning and can't recommend this shop.

He's worked on all my cars (Subaru WRX, Toyota Camry, and Matrix) and every time the issues are resolved. It's a family owned business with his wife and daughter Carol who I both love having conversations with every time I'm here. My dad always brings his car to get fixed and has been coming for over 15 years! The location is convenient to come to and you can't get any better service. They do get busy so best if you can call ahead to see if they can service your car just in case. I really appreciate their support and knowledgeable insights! Thank you!

I had a very disappointing experience at San Gabriel Automotive Repair Inc…read more About a month ago, I came here for an oil change. During that visit, they also repaired one of my tires without clearly asking me beforehand. About a month later, I started hearing a strange noise coming from my right rear tire. After checking it, we discovered that there was a metal object loose inside the tire. I brought the car back to this shop because they were the ones who had previously worked on that tire. What upset me the most was their response. Instead of seriously considering whether the object could have been left inside during the previous tire repair, they told us that we must have put the metal object inside the tire ourselves. Why would a customer intentionally put a metal object inside their own tire? They removed the object, but still charged us another $30. I have the receipt and photos of the metal object that was removed from the tire. I cannot personally prove exactly when or how the object ended up inside the tire, but I can say exactly what happened: this shop worked on that same tire about a month earlier, the tire later developed a noticeable noise, a metal object was found loose inside it, and when we returned, the shop denied responsibility and accused us of putting it there ourselves. I was extremely disappointed with both the way this situation was handled and the accusation toward us. Based on my experience, I would not return.

I stopped by in the AM for an oil change. I didn't make an appointment beforehand or anything, but they were happy to accommodate. But as it turns out, it was quite early for an oil change and I didn't need it. They reset my car system sensor so the alert disappeared and sent me on my way, no charge. This was my second time visiting, and I think it'll be my go-to for car maintenance from now on. I'll gladly support this business.

Visited today 3/17/2026, after speaking with Matt the day before. I brought in brand new 21 inch Tesla rear wheels and Michelin PS4 tires for installation on my car. I drove over an hour from Chatsworth, California to this location so that they could use the Hunter Revolution machine, specifically to avoid damaging my wheels. Nevertheless, Matt, if it's his real name, severely damaged my new wheel near the wheel center cap area with the machine that was made to avoid this. How incompetent!!! He lied to my face and gave dull, illogical, dummy excuses about what happened. Bottom line: He damaged the wheel and would not acknowledge and take accountability for his actions. I had to call the police to make a record of this issue because I will be suing. The damage was caused because he did not apply the machine's plastic adapter when he clamped onto the face of the wheel; he clamped to the face of the wheel with metal to metal contact and severely damaged the paint. Sorry, nothing can improve ignorant people! See videos and photos.
