Came here for an oil change. It was fast and a lot cheaper than other places for full synthetic oil. Definitely coming back.

If I could give this shop a zero start I would. First off terrible customer service, they tell you they could do something and you waste your time driving over there. Then they say no we can't do it. They say we only work on Japanese cars, when they have a Cadillac on their lift. They find any reason to not work on your car. And when they do it's terrible job. My dad has been coming here/taking my car here for years. I needed to get an oil change so I got there a little after 8am when they opened. Was able to change my oil for $45 in about 10 minutes, which was not bad. This place is kinda old and run down but you do get what you need quickly. Had to pay cash because their machine wasn't working. Overall a good place. read more

My family has been coming here for 10+ years and we have no plans on stopping. This place is definitely one of those no frills, straight to the point spots so if you're someone that highly values customer service, then this might not be for you. I called in to inquire about towing my car since there was an issue with the throttle body and the owner pretty blutly told me to just bring the car and they'd take a look. A stark difference from a closer mechanic that would have charged a $180 diagnostic fee and couldn't guaratnee that they'd get it looked at until the following week. On top of that, the other mechanic dismissed me when I tried to explain what was wrong with the car. A quick chat at Sonny's and he believed everything I said and promised he'd take a look. About an hour later, he calls me back to let me know that the car would be ready in an hour and a half with the throttle body cleaned and the oil topped off. The pricing was fair and he didn't did exactly what was needed without trying to suggest additional fixes. read more

Had to get a smog check for my car and it was $50 for the STAR certified one. I called and they initially quested me $40. They didn't say it was the regular smog check either. Should have been more specific before I came. read more

Unprofessional, no common decency, threats, provides false information or no actual knowledge of car repair. Brought my own oil in for an oil change. The mechanic overfills the transmission oil level by a quart. I would understand if it was a little bit but a quart over will cause transmission oil foaming, overheating and damage to the engine. Sadly I didn't notice till I got home. Brought it back a hour later to inform them in a calm polite manner that it was over filled and if they could just take some out. They claim it's okay and won't hurt the engine. Berate me with false information that it's normal and it will just burn out over time. I wasn't even mad or aggressive. They talk shit about me to another customer in viet like I wouldn't understand. Told me never to come back just cause I pointed out their mistake. With service like this, I don't think I ever will. If you want a cheap mechanic, this is your place. $60 for a oil change, $30 if you bring your own oil. But if you care about your car at all or ever want some common human decency, avoid at all cost. read more

Looking for a shop to do my Star Smog for my Civic, this place was close to home and pricing was average ($45 - Star Smog). Went on a Saturday morning, right when they opened at 8 am, called ahead first, Sonny the owner helped me do the smog, he wasn't too friendly or chatty, but not rude either. Didn't wait long, smog check process was like 20 minutes. New smog procedure requires checking computer codes for errors and a visual inspection of the engine bay, under car and various car components. Would I go back? Sure... read more

This was my first time getting a smog check by myself, so I'd say it's a pretty good first experience for me. Normally my dad would help me out with it and I'd pay him back, but since I was on a budget, I picked my own place that would get it done fast and at a low cost. My friend recommended this shop to me, so I called ahead of time to check on their rates. He quoted the smog check for $35, but when I got to the auto shop, he asked if I had an appointment. Since I did not, he quoted me $40... I was kind of confused at first, but it wasn't as bad as what I normally pay at my dad's shop, which is $50 with certificate and submission to the DMV. After the smog check, which took about 15 min, I asked the guy why he raised the price from $35 to $40 when I called yesterday. He didn't know I had called yesterday so he gave me that rate instead. I think it's really weird that he doesn't have a set price... Seems kind of fishy. I guess if you call ahead of time, he'll give you a discount? I'm not even sure how his pricing works. Anyway, I got the certificate and my car passed on its first go, so I am happy! read more

I totally thought I was screwed after my cars plastic fell apart and was dragging on the ground. Tried to go to three other places that turned us down, sonny came through and finished everything within 15 minutes of coming in. So thankful and totally distressed us. The bottom of my car popped out while driving and I went to 2 different repair stores in the area and they were all busy and won't help. So i went over to Sonny and he take a quick look at it and fixed it for me for $15. It only took like 15 minutes. Pretty happy with how fast the service was. Not sure if the price was reasonable but I'm happy with it since I just wanted to get it done and go home! read more

I went in to get a smog check. I was not approached; I had to walk up to get their attention. Because of the loud noise in the back, I couldn't hear what the mechanic was saying to me. Both men that were there were snippy and gave me attitude because I understand them and because of their heavy accent. They told me that the guy that does smog checks went out to eat and wouldn't be back for another 30-45 minutes. If I hadn't felt like they were so rude, I might have stayed. Because I didn't get a smog check from them, I gave them 2 stars for horrible customer service. Instead, I drove down the street and go my smog check at a much friendlier place.
