I went to BIG OPTICAL OAKPARK afterward, and they easily popped out the lenses and put them back in, taking care of my needs with ease. I was very happy to give them my business. They also have such a wide variety of cool frames that are out of this world. This will be my favorite store from now on. After being a customer at My Eye Dr. for so many years, I will not be returning. I rescheduled for March 11th, but after reading the reviews, I think I'll cancel altogether. What's interesting is someone from their staff is reading and responding to these reviews, but no attempts are being made to rectify the issues, as they keep getting poor reviews. I hate this because this was a neighborhood retailer I wanted to support. Two stars because they have a nice selection of frames.

I wanted an office that was not a major retailer, and had different brands of frames apart from the usual Ray-Ban, Oakley, and Calvin Klein frames you see at Vision Works or America's Best, Big City had exactly that. The atmosphere and look of the place was also very pleasing, and I found the open layout to be very welcoming. I met with Dr. Artim who was a genuinely nice human being. My entire interaction with him was fun, educational, laid back, and straight forward. I appreciated everything he explained to me and how he broke it down for me to understand. Cynthia, was a delight as well, she took care of me from start to finish. During my exam, she began to choose frames that would work with my style, and shape of my face which felt very great. Every frame I was shown would be the frames I would've chosen and I think that attention to your patients is extremely satisfying. My sister had the absolute worst experience at Vision Works. She sent out her Prada frames (worth…read moreof $530) for prescription lenses (worth of $230), and they completely LOST them. According to them they are not responsive for the frames after they sent them out, however when she asked for proof that the frames did in fact get sent out in the first place they weren't able to give me or show me proof. She was told they can only show her a picture of the frame along with other pairs of glasses being shipped out but no actual tracking number or anything. I don't know but for a big company I find it hard to believe they can't track items. We believe someone from their staff stole them, I don't believe they sent the frame out in the first place. To make matters worse, the staff seemed completely uninterested in resolving the issue. Staff is rude and dismissive. Their only solution was to refund my sister what she paid for prescription lenses. This experience has completely soured my opinion of Vision Works. Not only did they lose a pair of designer glasses, but the way they handled the situation was a disgrace. I will never return to this store, and I strongly advise others to avoid it as well.

The first Dr. to ever address some of my long term eye concerns and after listening to them, she was able to properly diagnose me. I have myopia which I wear contacts/glasses for but always noticed my eyes slightly cross sometimes specially in pictures. She added a prism correction to my glasses prescription to help with this issue. It's a shame eye health/concerns is not taken as serious as if our eyesight wasn't how we literally perceive life/the world. So thank you for making a difference Dr. Brandi!
