My bf orders flowers for me from here all the time. Through the months I have accumulated quite a few heavy glass vases from the arrangements. Today I called the shop to ask if they could pick them up, the gentleman said it's not worth it. He said he has to pay $10 to the delivery guy to pick them up & it's just not worth it. Ladies & gentlemen this is what's wrong with the world. We recycle, conserve & go green to try to slow down the deterioration of our planet & this shop would rather order new than to pick up used. I've used FTD and 1800 Flowers before and they are really hit or miss. Then it turns into a game of trying to get your money back or the item resent but by then the moment is kind of ruined. This is a local high end flower shop that I've used probably twice a year for the past few years. They always deliver on time and they are local which are both pluses. They also have very nice stuff. They are pretty pricey though but you also get what you pay for. Lots of different occasions are available, birthdays, anniversaries, Mother's Day, Valentine, etc. I've been in the store a few times but I mostly order online. Convenient and accurate and reliable. read more

I ordered a floral arrangement and recall telling the customer service rep I wanted to spend $100 total. I provided a message for the card insert and asked for a picture of the arrangement before ending the call. Unfortunately, they don't take pictures of their arrangements to send the buyer which was odd given I live out of state and agreed to pay $100 for flowers. Anyway, the recipient had no idea who the flowers were from because the card insert was not included. Then I checked my account and saw a charge for $127! I was annoyed and I called the place, the guy on the phone was rude and condescending. All in all, shame on me for supporting a local business and giving my card info before confirming the price. Bought a last minute bouquets from Roses and Blooms for a client. I was so thankful they were able to accommodate my order on such short notice (less than an hour), and overall, it was a great experience. The staff was very friendly and informative, the flowers were done quickly. I had bought two bouquets, and they were packaged in a way that was easy for me to carry (i picked them up personally). My only complaint is that the flowers seemed a little less than fresh. Some petals were a bit dry and flakey, or slightly discolored, but overall it wasn't all that noticeable. This is definitely my go-to florist in Midtown. I will say that their selection is fairly hit-or-miss, but that's pretty much the case with all florists in this area. I've been here many many times and they always seem to have employees there putting together arrangements for orders that have already been placed, so I imagine if you called ahead and ordered something in advance, you'd get the best of the best. However, I've only been here for the more typical floral needs of "I'm on my way somewhere and want to bring flowers" kinda deal. Service here is always top-notch. The man who's usually at the cashier is always super-friendly and very willing to answer any questions you have about the flowers you're picking out. He's also great when it comes to wrapping everything together and creating a nice presentation. Again, the selection is a bit hit-or-miss. I first discovered Roses and Blooms in the Spring and was blown away by their fantastic selection. However, as expected, I suppose, with the change of seasons comes less selection. They still always have a few reliable staples, but as I write this review in January, I'm looking forward to the large selection waiting for me in the warmer months. I've gone to several other florists in the area (not that we have a whole lot to choose from), but Roses and Blooms is by far my number one choice here. I haven't tried another florist in well over a year. read more

My husband ordered a bouquet from Roses and Blooms yesterday. I didn't love it...and when he called them to discuss he was promised a new bouquet would be sent to me today. I got a phone call from a manger this morning who could not have been nicer. As it turns out, my husband chose that bouquet - a type I really don't like - so the fault lay with him. Never the less, they offered to send me another one, and asked me to describe my taste. The second bouquet was gorgeous. Their customer service was excellent. So, I've only been here once. The variety wasn't huge but it was also the dead of winter - and what they did have was gorgeous, and the service was just wonderful. The gentleman working there really talked with me about what I was looking for, asked me what I wanted to spend - and wrapped my bouquet beautifully. I asked for simple and elegant and said I wanted to spend around $20; it came in at less than that. I was so happy with what I left with and most impersonally, the person to whom I have them commented on how beautiful they were. I'd check these folks out! I don't really consider myself a flower person since I'm not keen on the notion of investing significant amounts of money in something just so I can watch it die. However, I work right above this flower shop and have been sucked in. What started as a short lunch break stroll through the shop one day turned into that sort of irrational dalliance you keep falling back into. Totally dishonest -steer clear. I used them several times and was going to use them for my wedding as the flowers are not bad and they are 300 yards from my workplace. It slipped from the mouth a new employee that they add 25-30% for putting together flowers (even if you yourself choose the flowers it emerged). The employee was evidently upset that I should think such a charge unreasonable and said they had to get paid for their expertise. She went beetroot. When I asked the manager if they had been charging this arrangement fee in my previous purchases he said yes they had "you just did not know it". He seemed rather proud of this fact and was VERY RUDE. I appealed to him that this hardly met standards of fairness and transparency and then my now wife and I walked out. I had been in the habit in past purchases of saying for example "can I have these 3 flowers up to say 130 dollars worth including the vase delivered to xx address". I had noticed that the arrangements looked smaller than I would have expected for the amount specified but I dismissed the thought as an illusion and admit did use them again. This sly practice above explains the rather disappointing size of the flower arrangements. I would strongly suggest not using these guys as they are not honest. I now use a florist slightly uptown from Roses and Blooms on Lexington too called "Lexington Flwoer Shop" I suggest you do business with them. They do not go in for hidden charges. read more

I am a proud owner of 4 pieces of the fresh preserved roses, with my first purchase bought about 5 years ago and the last purchased in June 2017. They all look amazing. My guests are forever in awe and have a hard time believing they are not "fresh". I certainly will purchase more for the rest of my rooms. read more

This place is fabulous. I placed a last minute order on Friday morning. Afterwards, I realised that my friend wouldn't be around in the afternoon and rescheduled for Monday. Great experience here. Had to order last-minute flowers for a next-day delivery and it wasn't a problem at all. Years ago I had ordered flowers from one of those big companies, Teleflora or 1800flowers, for my mom for Mothers Day. She sent me a picture of what had been delivered, and it was a disaster, and nothing like what I'd ordered. Those places use local florists to fill their orders, and whatever one they used was terrible. I complained and got my money back, and walked over to Roses and Blooms to see about getting a proper bouquet sent to my mom. They were super helpful and understanding, we selected how many of what flowers I wanted in the bouquet (lilacs, peonies, white roses, etc) and we're able to deliver it the day! Once delivered my mom sent a picture of it and it was gorgeous! They did an awesome job, and saved Mothers Day that year. I've been there since and they are consistently - great quality blooms, a homey store with knowledgeable staff, and great pricing.
