In all honesty this is the worst place that I've ever had my son get his haircut they gave him a buzz ( hes got only stuble) haircut because they asked him if he wanted to use a one and a half inch guard which he assumed was 1 1/2 inches on the top of his head I'm not a hairstylist so I don't know why ask a 14 year old that. His side of the story is that when he walked in they asked him how he wanted his hair he asked for 1 1/2 on top and 1/2 in on the sides. Assuming they new it was in inchs.Then she started talking about his school while she buzz cut his hair. I am so upset right now . The hair (stylist, thats a joke) was new but kept insisting she told him about the guard. Seriously i told him he just started school. In high school looks are important actually at any age . If i wanted this hair style for him i would of done the chop job my self. After 10 min of a heated discussion i did receive our money back plus the $8 tip we were giving. Funny cause they tried to tell me that maybe next time (to educate me) about a guard for the future. I let her know we will never be back. Do you think they cared no they didn't. I told her she needed to be educated they are the professionals and noone goes in asking for a 1 1/2 in guard because it is not our profession. Brought my son here for a quick haircut and I've never seen such a bad haircut in my life. I know that kids are tough so I'm a little more understanding than some folks but this looks like the work of Edward scissorhands on meth. If you can't cut a child's hair, just be honest and I'll happily wait for the lady next to you who does know how to cut kids hair.. or when I say "long on top and short on the sides" just tell me you plan on shaving his damn head and responding "oh wow that's short"... Only thing is I work a lot, meaning I'm at work early before she starts and don't get off until way later after she's already done with her day. That said I come here for a few reasons. Great hours, they're open til 9pm. Cheap price, $11.99. And the ladies are nice and do an okay job. Not as good as my barber, but decent enough for the $12 and tip. read more

Got my second haircut today. I get typical guy haircut that is simple and easy. Stylist cautioned she had small fingers for finger length hair. Well my hair got butched. It looks like a buzz cut, choppy on the sides and she high watered the lines in back. I had same stylist first time and it went perfect. Maybe she was drunk. Thanks for the crappiest haircut ever! We've been going here for three years with sweet, patient hairdressers who are always nice to my kids. We've been saving stamps on our loyal customer cards and as soon as it's time for our free haircut they tell us they are no longer honoring the cards. That's just bad business. Disappointing and strange. I visited this salon near the end of the day and there was about a 20 minute wait as there were 3 people ahead of me. No big deal, but important to note. There was a 20 year old stylist and a more experienced stylist working. Lucky for me, I got the experienced one. After, my wait and being seated, the 20 year old who, was dressed like she was working at Hooters, got the next client and began his cut. She spent half the time interrogating Dad about the young man whose hair she cut earlier in the day. Clearly, she was very into this child and fortunately for Dad, it wasn't his son, but a friend of his son. The other half of the time she whined about how often she has cut herself while doing hair cuts and showing off all the Band-Aids while she complained. Not sure your opinion on that, but for me I found it very odd and disconcerting. The funniest thing was my stylist rolling her eyes, sighing loudly and giving the young gal the stare down over and over again while trying to cut my hair. In the end, it took over 5 minutes for their credit card machine to run my card. It wasn't a bag hair cut, but not a great one either. I'll never go back -never. read more

I've never had anything negative to say until today. I didn't have the ability (because of pipes at the house) to wash my hair so I came here after I did my makeup and before going out for Mother's Day. They've always been good (including the girl I had today) about not getting my face wet while shampooing and have been nice/easy to work with. However, when washing my hair today, she ran her hand over about an inch on the sides of my face (nearly down to my cheek bones. I said that I was trying to keep my face decent because I had somewhere to go and she continued to do that all around my face. It doesn't sound like a big deal, but when you have a halo of messed up makeup around your face, you look a mess. She acted (even more than before) like she wanted to be anywhere but work from then on, plus I had to sit there for about 20 minutes and wait while she attended to someone else. Is rather shed just said that there would be a wait so I could've gone somewhere else or known Id be waiting. She wasn't rude or sloppy with the washing before so I don't know what caused this. Im aware this might seem petty, but I had to go reapply parts of my makeup and was treated like an inconvenience. I've worked in customer service and still do and you don't treat customers that way and get to have no consequences. The girl that finally did help me was nice, but she nearly poked me in the eye several times It's usually a great place to go, but after today I'm not sure how often I'll be back. read more

I think that Ms. K. should retract her silly, self-centered negative review for several reasons... 1.) Ms. K called for an appointment, but was not able to receive one because the beauticians were very busy, 2.) She then forced the issue by coming to the shop anyway, even when she was politely told that they had no time to take her. 3.) Even after that Ms. K insisted on having her hair washed and styled. My husband owned a very reputable Barber Shop. So I know a good haircut when I see one. For the last 3 years I have always received an excellent haircut and perm at Great Cuts of Roseville. The service is friendly and professional. My beautician is a master at her craft. Being a barber or beautician is back breaking work. No one usually asks if they are having a bad day. Instead they have to be prepared to serve customers who perhaps do - and they strive to be diplomatic, courteous and forthcoming. It is easy to write a negative review but so much nicer to receive a positive one! read more

If your going to accept appointments then you should make sure that you have more than one person on staff so that the walk ins (which your sign says are welcome) are not turned away especially when I was checked in before the appointment walked in! read more

The owner Judy is nice, she talks a lot, she gives fairly good haircuts, and the prices are reasonable. It's kind of hit and miss with the other stylists as to how good a haircut you'll get. There seems to be a high turnover with the stylists. There are always different stylists every time we go in. read more

This last time I went here, my hair was completely hacked at. I asked the woman to just trim the ends and to trim my layers. Well, she parted my hair completey opposite of how it naturally falls, and made my normal length layers about two inches long on one side, and then made the other side atleast five different lengths of layers starting at two inches long at the top. Now for as long as my hair is, that is not a good look! I had told her before she started that I was trying to grow out my hair and layers for my wedding that is in only FOUR months away. Do you think maybe she would have put any extra pride in her work knowing how important having decent hair before my wedding day is? Nope. I didn't have any idea how damaged my hair was like this until I got home and really styled it. I then called there that same day to speak to the manager, Jenny. She told me to come in and have her look at it and fix it. As soon as I walked in and told her I was the person who called, she acted a little rude and awkward about it and had me sit down. I showed her how choppy and uneven my hair was, and she just hacked at it more and denied anything wrong with the cut....but then told me to STRAIGHTEN one side, and leave the OTHER side unstraightened so that it would look EVEN. Now what I would gather from that is that it was a messed up hair cut if I have to do that. I shouldn't have to only style one side to make it look good. I was so upset and in tears. But thank god I found someone at Five Star Salon in Rocklin who has completely fixed it and it looks like it was never touched by these people. The manager is sloppy looking and so are her employees, so I guess their standards are just really low. I know you get what you pay for, but the employees and manager got their cosmetology license out of a cereal box or something. I could have given myself a more professional cut. No one here has any pride in their work! read more

I have received a few haircuts from this place and the quality can be hit and miss. Additionally, professionalism is very rare. However, my last experience was completely horrible and will ensure that I never comeback. I asked for a simple fade haircut that is cut shorter on top and the stylist completely butchered my hair. She decided to almost buzz my hair and give me a crooked flattop look. Wow, complete disaster. You get what you pay for here! Spend a few bucks more and go to Hunter's barber shop. They would not honor the coupon. There was no other coupon that said Exp.11/30/2013. This seemed to be done this way on purpose to bring us in and charge regular prices. Snealy it seems. a couple days ago i went in for a cut shampoo and blow dry style the minute i walked in i was greeted by a young lady she had a very friendly personality . i was up next a the young lady took me back to the shampoo bowl i had a wonderful shampoo she even explained to me what type of shampoo she was useing for my hair type which was very nice to know what kind of shampoo and whats in it to help out my hair then we proceeded to cit my hair she was very bubbly which i enjoyed my hair cut was exactly what i wanted plus more she used some products that would help out my hair to help me get some more volume for myself she styled my hair after she was done i felt like a completely different women i had so much volume in my hair i was amazed by how great my hair looked if your looking for a good stylist cassie is the girl to go to she truly cares about her clients needs and wants the price is great ansd the environment is wonderful read more
