Chicken katsu sandwich and crispy potatoes.
    Paula K.

I have been wanting to try this place for a while, and finally had the chance to have lunch here this week. I love the place - it's cozy without being cramped - well-lit, clean, and with lots of space to move around. I was able to seat myself with a menu, then ordered at the counter, with my food brought to my table. I enjoy this hybrid cafeteria/table service model, as it cuts down waiting time for a server, but also allows me to experience whether the service in a restaurant is good or not. It is good here - friendly and helpful. I had the katsu chicken sandwich. The crispy piece of chicken was perfectly cooked, and topped with lots of red cabbage and mayo. The bun was delicious as well. The side of crispy potatoes was amazing - a huge portion of twice cooked, smashed, little potatoes that were tender and well-seasoned. I fell into a carb coma a short while after lunch! I am definitely coming back, perhaps to try brunch.

Large latte & bacon breakfast sandwich

Pretty good brioche bacon sandwich. For the latte, don't add $1 to make it large, too much milk to the point it feels like a steamed milk instead of latte.

A little downtown cafe that is great for lunch or brunch. Food is made fairly fast and I had a decent experience dining in and ordering takeout recently. Breakfast Bowl $18- This was delicious! You have a choice of choosing mushroom, bacon or chicken sausage with this dish. The potatoes were crispy and seasoned super well. I definitely would order again. Katsu Chicken Sandwich $20- The fried chicken was fresh and crispy in the soft milk bun. The kewpie mayo and katsu sauce paired really well together. I enjoyed the sandwich but the crispy potatoes were a little bit over salted this time. My friend ordered the French Patty Melt. She also really enjoyed her sandwich and said it was good. I'm hoping to try more of their other weekday and brunch items since they all look tasty. I've heard good things about their crullers

The best place for cruellest! Mango, raspberry and the coffee are my favs! For lunch make sure you order the Katsu burger! And get the fries!

Loved their salad especially the sesame dressing! Definitely had to go earlier to beat the lunch crowd and save a seat. It's also a great place to go for a coffee break and some snacks.

    Verde Rice - nothing spectacular
    Jennie L.

So perhaps I got them on an off day but I grabbed a couple of pastries and ordered verde rice. It generally was okay. The baking was actually tasty but expensive so it should be good. I had a peach one that was particularly good. My verde rice was definately overpriced. Not really well flavoured and throwing a bunch of raw veggies ontop of it didn't improve it. For 15 bucks with no protein on it, made it not good value for your money. This should be served with fried eggs ontop. Service was indifferent. I noticed that the revies are really good for this place, so I will give it another shot but not a place that I would run to.

Breakfast sandwich with hickory bacon and potatoes. Latte and americano.

Rosewood is a staple brunch spot for us. The breakfast sandwiches are the best we've ever had. From the bun to the homemade tomato jam and perfectly cooked bacon and egg, it can't be beat. The crispy potatoes are perfect every time and we can't get enough. The lattes and cappuccinos are a great addition to brunch as well. On top of the breakfast, the crullers (not pictured) are always a hit with the fruit glazed ones being a favourite. Parking in the area is always difficult but underground at the library is a good option if no street parking is available.

I was sent to this place by the hotel I was staying at they told me this place is brand new and the best part is that is locally own. They were super nice and helpful at the time of ordering. Don't be afraid to ask for help with the menu as they are super friendly. Looking forward to my next visit!

Beautiful warm space full of glorious natural light. Love the daily bakery items offered (read: incredible cruellers). Milk bun breakfast sandwich was a bit of a let down. We ordered the sausage sandwich and although sausage was good, the accompanying sauces as cloyingly sweet for mine and my husband's palate to the point that we just scraped it all off. Egg was perfectly executed however. The milk bun was overly brown. Despite this I look forward to trying other items on the menu like their Katsu Chicken burger.

Learned about this place from a local friend and brought 12 people. Each of us had a fabulous meal - including the two celiacs. We had the breakfast bowl with mushrooms and the rice bowl special - both divine. This a brunch not to be missed; and later someone told me their lunch is even better!

Brunch is offered on Saturday and Sunday, otherwise they open for lunch (closed Mondays). Epic Market is huge. This will be a very popular place for the Whyte Avenue crowd as there are so many options available depending on which floor you enter. We were on the second floor today for brunch but the first floor, which has a similar look and feel, has a Mexican menu. It opens for lunch at 11:30am. It's a unique concept for Edmonton. The server said that they've opened similar restaurants in larger cities like Toronto but Edmonton is their first venture into a "smaller market". The brunch menu was interesting with some unique features and some typical offerings. I had the Pork Bennie, for $18.00 in 2024. The prices are quite reasonable for the type and quantity of the food. My bennie was good. My only criticism is that a special house ketchup would have been a nice touch. The service was excellent and we had a nice view of Gateway Blvd out the window. The coffee includes endless refills which is good because the cups were not very large. I'm sure the vibe is much different for dinner than brunch, but based on our experience, I'll definitely return.

My wife and I both ordered the Chandru Special for $17.50. It's a crepe with bacon and eggs inside plus some cheese slices melted on top. There was a side of fresh fruit. The presentation was somewhat lacking as the cheese slices made it look like something you find at your children's birthday party. The dish definitely needed some sauce to help it down. At least the fruit was good. Our server was very skilled at tunnel vision as she didn't see us even when walking right by our table. Eventually we caught her and got a refill for our coffee. She was pleasent enough when she arrived but definitely didn't want to do refills. On a more positive note, my friend ordered an omelet which came with potatoes that looked like thick potato chips. They looked good and he liked them. If I return it will be because I am in the area and can't find a better place. In other words, three stars out of five.

It's bright and airy in spite of the smallish space and the amount of booths and tables, oh and you can sit at the counter. The walls and ceiling are covered in memorabilia, concert banners and what not. The place was absolutely hopping at 12:45 PM, but we were sat in a booth right away. Waters dropped moments later, asked if we needed coffee, tea or whatever else you wanted to drink. Our server was fantastic, explaining and educating us as we were first timers. The food came out piping hot very quickly and our tea ordered after the food was dropped came in a large teapot and hot just like at home. The clubhouse, which I did not have, has house made ham and turkey according to our server. My corn beef had slices of corn beef that did not taste house made, but the sheer volume of meat I couldn't finish, the eggs were cooked perfectly.
