She washed my hair, then cut it to my desired length when wet, leaving it 1-2 inches shorter than I wanted. She then gave me some layers, added product, told me my funny curly spots were postpartum hair growth (my youngest is almost 6), that I should "give it a minute", slapped a Bobby pin in, told me it was cute and then got her phone so I could pay. Now I look like Lord Farquad minus the bangs. The other stylist in the salon seemed really friendly and genuine, though.

Over time, I had two concerns about billing--one involving an unexpected charge and another involving what I believed was an overcharge. I raised these concerns respectfully because I believe clients should feel comfortable asking questions about pricing and services. The situation that ultimately ended my relationship with the salon arose while I was trying to coordinate my keratin treatment and hair color, appointments I had planned well in advance. After an unexpected change to my keratin appointment, I communicated with my stylists while trying to find a solution. I genuinely did not understand that communicating with them in this way was considered outside the salon's preferred communication channels or that anyone was uncomfortable with it. My intention was simply to work out my appointments, not to cross anyone's boundaries. Once I was told there was a problem, I apologized, explained that I had not understood the salon's expectations, and assured them that I would respect those boundaries going forward. Nevertheless, all of my future appointments were cancelled and I was told that I could no longer return. I respect that salon employees are entitled to boundaries. What disappointed me was not being made aware that there was a concern earlier, when I could have understood the expectations and changed how I communicated. If a salon has specific rules about clients communicating directly with stylists outside established salon channels, I believe those rules should be clearly communicated beforehand. I valued the stylists who worked with my hair and would have happily respected the salon's communication boundaries once they were explained to me. I wish this had been resolved through a conversation and an opportunity to correct an unintentional misunderstanding rather than ending a longstanding client relationship. Unfortunately, the way management handled the situation left me feeling uncomfortable and deeply disappointed, and it has completely changed my opinion of the salon.

I'd had a few bleach treatments in the 3-5…read moreyears prior, and my hair has tolerated it remarkably well, remaining healthy and strong and shiny, probably because I never heat treat it. I came in for my first hair treatment since covid, so I was ~emotional and excited for a refresh. I forget the name of my stylist but ...... wow. 1- We were lightening for a balayage and despite using bleach my tips came out darker, still warm-toned (I'm undeniably cool-toned and made sure to bring it up). Also my whole head was about one (warm) color... it didn't reflect our discussion at all, and my balayage gave harsh grow out lines 2- Despite the low level of lightening, and my hair being very receptive to bleach, the treatment she applied absolutely fried my hair. It's been over two years since I had this done and I've heat styled it 0 times and dyed it 0 times, and even after cutting it much shorter the bottom 8" completely remain utterly fried. 2 years later I'm accepting that I'll probably have to cut it chin length to stop the absolutely dead hair from splitting further. Even with Olaplex, it's so outrageously tangled, split (I've had hairs with 4+ splits in them ... WTH), and dead that there's no saving it. I've never experienced anything like it.. it's just *dead*. I've only had my hair lightened in a salon because I'm so worried about this happening, and it's hilarious that the most ineffective bleach treatment I've ever had somehow was the one bleach treatment to ruin my hair. I'm about resigned to hacking it to a short bob and starting over. Oh - they also charged me extra on top of the Groupon because my hair was below my shoulders, even though it's extremely fine. Long story short, my Groupon here actually ruined my gorgeous hair, and I think it'll be about 5 years to get it back. Approaching the midpoint I think it's time to leave a review. :( Tl;dr my self-care appointment to rehab long boring hair gave me 5 years of bad hair.

I was in Everett on business and really needed a haircut and luckily Sherri was able to get me in. Having never worked with my hair she did a fantastic job and I loved the cut! That was pre-Covid19, so read on for the best part. I have short, thick and curly/wavy hair with bangs. My hair was cut at the end of February and I normally get it cut every 4 weeks. With salons closed I've been unable to get my hair cut and I am currently two months overdue. My hair has remained easy to style and still looks good, which to me is the mark of a great hair cut. (Ok, my bangs are starting to drive me nuts, but that's just because they are too long). If you've ever grown out your hair you understand the in-between look, but with Sherri's cut I've been able to sidestep that issue. I wish I lived closer as she would be my new go-to person! On top of it she's a really nice person - wonderful to talk and work with.
