Great selection, lots of food, and always a fun time in a diner. Apparently they bought this building from an authentic Diner- maker in NJ. I love diners and the east coast so it's great to find this near my work in Aurora. I had the fried catfish sandwich and a side of cole slaw. The food came out quickly and was large enough for me. The sandwich was on a good hard roll, with a smaller portion of fried catfish then the buns. There was a lot of fresh lettuce and tomato's which was nice. The fries were well seasoned and crunchy. The tarter sauce was tangy. The slaw was mayo based and fairly bland- for almost three dollars this should have been better. However, the main meal was filling and redeemed the coleslaw. The staff was friendly and made you feel welcomed. It wasn't too crowded so everything came fast. Rosie's is close to my work so I'll be back. Hopefully to try a really good coleslaw next time! They pour Dry Dock and Fat Tire on tap. read more

We LOVE going to Rosie's, and quite often bring our Grandson. The food is ALWAYS good, and we know what to expect. This last visit was the poorest we have EVER experienced. What Happened? Order was fried chicken, which was so over done that it was not edible, the taco salad had to have had at least a 1lb of gr. beef on it and the spices were not good. let alone I was charge $5 for adding ground beef. My grandson had a side of mac and cheese, basically no taste what-so-ever. After spending $50.00, I was totally upset at what this experience has turned out to be. The first time I came to Rosie's Diner was July 11, 2012. I signed the contract to buy our first home with my fiance. After that, it became a special place for us to go have breakfast, lunch and dinner. I always get a milkshake because they are so good. I have brought my in laws, my family and my best friend. Now it is also my best friend's favorite diner. Last time I visited I was 9 months pregnant and ready to pop. Today I came back with my baby girl and it was such a great experience. It was clean as usual. The server was very friendly. I ordered the French toast with strawberries and I loved it! I want to go back for more. My friend ordered her food and it looks so good as well! Really nice waiters and staff. Both pleasant and friendly to the customers as well as one another. Great vibe in that regard. The food though...left a LOT to be desired. I ordered a chicken fried steak skillet with scrambled eggs and a pancake. It wasn't fresh or tasty and I was pretty hungry when I visited and they say hunger is the best seasoning. The chicken fried steak arrived luke warm and limp, oldish and not crispy at all. The potatoes in the skillet had a distinctly "freezer burned" type taste to them. My egg was not set in the middle despite me asking for it "well done/cooked dry". The pancake was over cooked, dry and fell apart when cutting it... and had some weird red stuff dripped onto part of it. And the coffee was pretty weak and bleh. Out of everything the only thing that was hot and tasty was the gravy on my skillet. That being said, it didn't seem worthwhile to complain to the waiter and I was too hungry to wait for everything to be remade, and skeptical remaking it would really improve any facet of it. Maybe the chicken fried steak IF they cooked it fresh. But they clearly pre-cook and chop and store it for these skillets and it's just not good. Also, I was actually craving a biscuits and gravy type breakfast platter with meat and they don't offer that at all on the menu. I probably wouldn't visit this restaurant again for breakfast but I might give it a try for lunch/dinner. read more

Over the years I have been here plenty of times. I absolutely love this place! I went here on my 21st birthday, and had my first legal drink here with my father. The food here is delicious, the vibe is retro and cool, and their milkshakes are the bomb! I really like the mushroom burger, it is delicious! I wish more 50s style diners existed, I am so thankful that this one is relatively close by! When coming to this restaurant, you are supporting a local business, and if you want to use the jukebox, bring some quarters with ya. I'll definitely keep coming back to this unique restaurant! Rosie's Diner brings back a nostalgic feeling that oldies grew up on and which the millennials like myself or Gen Z can appreciate (they love the nostalgic vibes). I love the atmosphere at Rosies and the Cobb Salad that I had was nothing short of spectacular. The portions are great too. I love the vintage jukeboxes at each table in which people can choose the "vibe" of the restaurant by requesting that song on the jukebox. It's an awesome way to bring people together because it requires patrons to choose the song that's played in the restaurant. Staff was very attentive without being overly. Long time customers but we may not return. Ordered a burger and specified well done. Took one bite and realized it was pink inside. Waitress tried to tell me that it was not pink inside because she had written well done on the ticket! Very bad attitude. Then she asked me if I wanted it burnt! When we arrived, the table was ready, and the waiter took us there. The food was delicious. I ordered the "Texas Toast Burger", and it was a big portion; the prices were reasonable too. Was in the Denver area recently and had wanted a local place for dinner. Saw this place on Yelp close to the hotel we were staying at, so decided to check it out. I had a burger and my friend had a BLT....mine was filling and my friend said his was really good as well (almost too much). My friend enjoyed the fruit he was able to get with his sandwich. All in all a good place to go if you don't know what you want. They have a varied menu and its reminiscent of a 1950s diner. Definitely will go back to Rosie's if/when I return to Denver! read more

Do not go to Rosie's if you have a large party. I love Rosie's Diner. I usually eat out from it and haven't had any problems. For my birthday this year, however, I decided to have a little get-together with my friends there inside the restaurant. Their website claims to welcome large parties. However, my party of seven did not feel welcome. I understand that it was a busy Friday night but I attempted to make a reservation and I was told it was first come, first serve. As a result, my partner and I went in 15 minutes beforehand to give the staff enough time to prepare for the party. The restaurant was not as busy as we expected it to be and we could see several waitstaff idly sitting by and conversing. I would mention the server by name but none of us were given names. Our server seemed to be trying to get us out as quickly as possible. She did not offer us appetizers and only asked for drinks from the newest members of the party. She only checked on us once to briefly refill some of our drinks. And when asked to refill to certain drinks, we were harshly told that it was not a free refill. Towards the end of the meal, she immediately started asking about boxes and gave us our checks before we were ready. No mention of desert or anything else. We had to physically stop her for to-go items and she seemed to be trying to leave as quickly as possible. The food was delicious but we all felt that the service was less than we expected from such a popular local restaurant. As a group, we tipped well because of the current situations with the pandemic but the experience left us with little desire to return. So I ordered three meals from here on a Sunday evening from Grubhub. As with any meals I order using the app and I have special instructions for the meals, not a fan of cheese. This was the same here that two meals without cheese. You can assume what I got. So I called and inquired why they don't read the order slip. The lady just said have Grubhub refund it and that's that. That they get busy and DON'T HAVE TIME TO READ THE WHOLE ORDERS. Just for that you lost a potential customer. Bad practice and better shape up or prepare to lose more. They also delay my order by 30 minutes and closed right after. At least I got my money back. read more

Cute little 50's style diner. Nice full American and some south of the border options. I had a double patty melt and it was very juicy. Meat was very fresh and flavorful. Don't think it ever saw a freezer. Had a little side salad and it was fine. Clean inside staff was very nice. Ashleigh was my server and she was honest and prompt. I didn't wait long at all for my food. She was very sweet and helpful. I will return. I love diners because it reminds me of my grandparents. I have wonderful memories at Rosie's Diner and going there w my grandma before she passed. Now when I go, it brings back those great memories. Additionally, the service is great - our server was on top of our table making sure we had everything we needed and that the food was OK. I love that they serve breakfast all day long. This was our first stop in Denver for food and we were pretty satisfied. I ended up getting a breakfast skillet with a biscuit and some coffee. The service was okay, they seemed busy. Rosie's reinvented itself with the bbq. I had the burrito with bbq pork and it was delicious. My wife had the salad with brisket and it was also very good. They always had good burgers and other options but the bbq takes them over the top. The service was good as usual. The ambiance is a diner but it was still good as well. Back in July: When we first arrived, the "host" tried to seat the four of us in a half booth clearly for two. I pointed to the bigger corner booth, he said that it was for six people. He went to ask someone if it was okay to seat us there. It was. I asked the waiter when taking our order what was the veggie patty. He said, with a rude smirk, it was plant based and he could go ask but that's what they would tell him. When I told him the iced tea tasted very much like water he shrugged his shoulders and walked away. No offer of a new glass or, perhaps, something else to drink? Then, the waiter brings the check, doesn't even wait to find out if we wanted dessert. Which we did! Too bad! Rosie's USED to be a nice place to eat. The food and service both USED to be good. Food was "okay" according to everyone in my party, but I will not come back: This is a 50's/60's theme restaurant, and they didn't know how to make a malt! While the waiter tried his best, he didn't know the menu, couldn't understand what we meant when we read the menu item to him; a sausage patty was dropped on the table, he said he'd get a replacement, it never came. I asked that the item be taken off the check; the sausage side was $6; they took off $2.17, listed as a "military discount". I decided to skip any dessert. This place brings us back to the good ole days of the American Diner. We were greeted immediately when we walked in the door and got a table right away. Our server Sunny, was exceptional! So friendly and efficient. Started off with an order of the fried pickles that came with a side of ranch--just freakingly delicious!! The milkshakes are the best, thick, creamy and Yummy! We had the chocolate banana, the strawberry banana and the caramel butterscotch milkshakes. Just fabulous. My dad ordered the Double-Decker hamburger, my sister the American Classic and I ordered the Kraut Dog!! All of them were huge and were made exactly how we wanted them. We've been to Rosie's quite a few times and usually have a good meal. Tonight we got take out and are pretty disappointed. We ordered a french dip, a skillet and a catfish sandwich. The french dip I ordered for a family member had 2 slices of roast beef and just looked sad sitting on a big french style roll. The skillet I ordered had a handful of vegetable and meat on top. The catfish looks pretty good but is on the thin side. We don't really require huge portions or expect them, but it would be nice to get an adequate amount of meat or cheese when it's part of your entree. The folks who took care of us and our server while we waited were really nice and very helpful. Rosie's kitchen/management really needs to step it up and be a little more generouswith their entrees.
