I was in Glendale and I typed "breakfast" into Yelp and this restaurant came up as only being .4 miles from where I was and the reviews were solid. I drove the two minutes and parked right in front of the front doors. Something that made me really happy as I could see my dogs in my car from my seat in the restaurant. As soon as we walked in, a beautiful woman named Rhonda, seated us. She turned out to be our server as well. The restaurant was really clean, simple and well organized. Our booth was comfortable and the decor was pleasant. Our drink order was taken within a minute of sitting down and our food order five minutes after that. I ordered French toast and my friend ordered a vegetarian breakfast burrito. Our food came quickly, about ten minutes or, and it was hot and well made. My French toast was excellent. The real gem was the vegetarian breakfast burrito. It might be the best he or I had ever had. Impressed would be a huge understatement. Thank you Rhonda for being excellent at your job. Adorable spot - looks small on the outside but it's rather large. I noticed they mentioned patio seating. It had snowed the day before so we sat inside. We were greeted by several different people. Everyone is super nice and attentive. I had the breakfast burrito with the pork. My hash browns were smothered in cheese - so good. Could have been cooked a little more but still delicious. Seriously we walked in, and had to wait a few minutes to be seated because she was so engaged with her device, during the meal, just about every time I looked up, she was on her device. Solid breakfast spot! We chose to dine in but they seem to do a decent amount of takeout. The place is brightly decorated, very charming feel. They have a QR code for contactless ordering but the server did bring us physical menus. Their daily specials give you $2 off certain entrees, which makes a fairly affordable place even more of a bargain! The food was fine. I had the chicken and waffles, which came with a choice of hoisin sauce (interesting choice...?) or jalapeño ranch. The waffles seemed to have too much sugar in them, as I kept getting a gritty crunch as I was eating them. The chicken was fine but reminded me of the frozen chicken tenders I buy at Costco. My husband had the carne aside burrito was came with hash browns topped with cheese and green chile, which he said were really what made the meal. The burrito was decently sized so no complaints there! He said next time he would probably try a different type of burrito because the carne asada was fine but nothing special (although we are from Southern California so rather picky about our burritos). Service was good, food came out quickly and we had a very pleasant meal. I ordered a side sample of green chili because the reviews raved about it. The green chili was good. It was garlicky. It had heat to it. I don't think it had pork in it. Pork would have added to the flavor. It was thick. I think it could have been hotter. My usual test came with the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were dense and the gravy was standard with no sausage. It was mostly cold. Meh. It was an attempt at least. Kudos for having it on themenu. I won't let an attempt at biscuits and gravy deter me from finishing my review. I got scrambled eggs and two thick strips of bacon to go along with it. My companion had pumpkin spice pancakes, a blue plate special. The staff was super nice and the conversations with people both sitting in the restaurant and who walked in the door, many locals obviously, and regulars, were filled with laughter and memories. Expecting a great breakfast compared to previous mornings I wasn't all that impressed here. The food was decent, 8 minutes from order to table (which isn't necessarily a good thing) and reasonable prices. I had the healthy omlette which was misc veggies, mushrooms and egg whites. The omelette had zero flavor, very bland which necessitated me to use table salt and pepper as well as Cholula on my omlette. The english muffin dry was as to be expected, no issue with it but the hash browns were dissapointing. The hash browns which I asked for extra extra crispy came fairly thick and starchy and not much of anything crispy about it. It was clear based on the speed and lack of temperature that there is a big pile of spuds sitting on the side of a grill. Zero flavor, just all starch. Overall this is an ok place but very mediocre when it comes to omelettes. Maybe lunch is better but this won't be in my return list. Very plain jane type of food. 3 stars read more

I have eaten here periodically for a few years, since it is exactly halfway between my home and Church, but it's been awhile. I ordered my standard two egg breakfast, same as any diner. I received the smallest portion of eggs I've ever seen. Granted, when you order two scrambled eggs you often get a heaping mass that seems like more. But this was less than a typical single egg portion. I immediately complained to the waiter at a single look. He said yes, they're cutting portions. Meanwhile, prices are several dollars higher than just a few months ago. Then, I'm wondering why the whole meal smells like coconut. I sniffed my way to the toast, which apparently is slathered in some coconut oil-based margarine or something. Inedible. I like coconut fine, but not with eggs and sausage, and not when I want butter! I usually eat at Sam's anyway, so I'll just drive the extra couple miles next time. Mile high brunch! Delicious! You got to have the mix of the green and red Chile sauce on top of your meal! Flavorful, filling, perfect meal right before we went for a 5 hour hike!
