I called his office the next day as I was concerned that there was a problem but was told by a woman that everything was normal... On 10/31/18, I called again and said I needed to see him. It turned out that I had 8-10 lashes under the stitches and thus on my eye therefore causing the pain, redness, lack of vision....After he plucked the lashes I had immediate relief and was able to truly start healing. The incision site has since healed nicely- I had my recheck earlier this month. Now, the office staff is a mixed bag of friendly people & those that are trying to act like they want to be there. You will wait well past your appt time so plan accordingly. You'll get called back to one room where they'll check your eyesight and do numbing drops to check pressure and then you'll go to another waiting area and wait and wait. I recommend Dr. Kovach just understand that you will wait to see him.

The young lady that did my pretesting did not inspire confidence at all. I wondered if she was even out of high school yet. And her English was not very good. The doctor was in a hurry and I felt he was somewhat dismissive. So I can't say anything about this visit was good.

Here's a more polished and structured version of your review that keeps your points clear, firm,…read moreand professional while making it easier to read: We had been going to Dr. Davis for nearly 10 years for my son's ROP, and for most of that time, she was great. We saw her every 3-6 months, and I always felt confident in her care. However, in the last few years, I've felt like she no longer truly listens to our concerns regarding my son's needs. Beyond that, the front office staff--especially the older receptionist who has been there for a while--is consistently rude. Scheduling is a nightmare; they are completely inflexible and only accommodate what works for them, not the patients. No matter how far in advance I tried, I was always met with "no availability" unless I agreed to whatever they offered, regardless of my schedule. Then there's Pete, who we always dealt with when getting my son's glasses. While I understand he knows about eyewear, he constantly pushed choices that weren't the right size or fit for my son. I never questioned him until one time when he told me I had to pay $300 for a new pair of glasses, even though my son hadn't had a new pair in two years. When I checked my receipts at home, I realized Pete had made a mistake with the insurance and tried to charge me for something that should have been covered. When I confronted him with proof, he brushed it off and said he would "call me back." A week later, he simply told me to pick up my son's glasses, now fully covered, but never explained the issue or admitted to any mistake. The final straw was the rescheduling nightmare. My son had a check-up scheduled for March, but I had to reschedule. They told me the next available appointment wasn't until October--far beyond his necessary 6-month check-up. Even though I was willing to take time off work, they refused to accommodate anything sooner. Then, a week before his October appointment, they called and said the office would be closed until December. I was shocked, but since I was at work when they called, I didn't have time to write down the new appointment details. December came, and I never received any reminder call or text. By the time I remembered and called in January, the receptionist rudely told me I had missed the appointment and rescheduled me for May--meaning my child, who requires regular check-ups, will have gone over a year without seeing the doctor. The combination of unprofessional staff, scheduling difficulties, and lack of communication has completely changed how I feel about this office. What once was a great experience has now become frustrating and disappointing. I'm truly sad about how things have declined over the years, and I can no longer trust or recommend this practice to others.

The whole place seemed extremely chaotic. The pre exam rooms had no ceiling and you could hear the exam next to you.. very old outdated building. After 25 min the first lady took me.. she did tests after she was done she said I have to see if they want me to do more of course they did.I was then brought to another lady she did more testing....they brought to a man he did more testing..I feel this was all to prolong the situation because the dr was backed up.They really need to stop over booking. The patients time is valuable too. It was now going on 2 hrs I had to ask when they were going to call me back. Finally 15 min later the brought me to a room where I waited another 15 min .I was finally seen by the dr. then a few more tests? All this was supposed to be is a cataract appointment.I spent less time with the Dr than anyone else. At checkout I literally had to ask the guy for a print out.It was almost like I was bothering him.I had to walk up to him he didn't even call me up. They want to see me in a year .I'm wondering if the one in Geneva is any better? If. It for the Dr.Im not sure I would come back.

I brought my 17 month old son in, and after check in the medical assistant nonchalantly informed me the wait would be 60-90 minutes because the doctor "travels between offices." I did a full double take because surely I misheard. But no, I was just distracted by my toddler climbing the eye exam chair that looked like it was out of a 1940s black and white silent horror film. They told me I "should have been informed when I made the appointment," because apparently this is standard practice. In what world? It felt like the old Seinfeld bit: they know how to take the reservation... they just don't know how to hold the reservation. I told them I'd come back in an hour, because trying to entertain a toddler in a waiting room packed like a cattle car and on its fifth episode of Dragon Tales, was not on my to-do list. Their box of broken crayons can only entertain for so long and last I checked I wasn't a magician and can't pull 90 minutes of toddler entertainment out of thin air. To be fair, the medical assistant and doctor were polite, efficient, and clearly doing their best. The front desk staff, however, seemed to be locked in a competition for the Most Unapproachable Human. It was a photo finish. I left with my son's eyes checked and mine rolling as a 2-minute exam turned into a two hour ordeal.
