Little Food Truck that delivers on flavor!
    Dian K.

I first stumbled upon Taqueria Bora Bora during Eat Mobile. How could you pass by the food cart when there's someone with a big chicken suit trying to get you to taste their chicken.. I immediately fell in love with the charcoal grilled chicken. So full of flavor - YUM! I told myself that I would visit the food cart, until I realize that they're all the way in Gresham! I finally visited when I was on my way to Eastern Oregon. Forced everyone else to stop by here and have lunch. Good thing everyone enjoyed it and agreed that it was very tasty. The chicken was soaked overnight before grilled over charcoals. We also tried the tacos, which were very good too. They have the usual suspects: al pastor (pork), carnitas, carne asada (beef) and chicken (same charcoal chicken) and the not so usual suspects: lengua (beef tongue), beef cheek, tripe, chicharron (deep fried pork rinds) and buche (pork stomach). They have a ton of other food that we didn't even try - definitely not short on variety. The location could definitely be improved. In addition to the fact that it's far, it's also located in a parking lot without access to bathroom. They have a tank of water with spout to wash your hands. They have some covered tables, but since we went on a sunny day, we opted for the outdoor table. I really wish they're much closer.

Great flavors! Half chicken with rice, pinto beans, flour tortillas and salsa was only $12! The chicken was cooked perfectly with nice skin. The flour tortillas were soft and hot. The salsa shined as well; probably a medium with just enough kick. I'm excited to come back to try their chicken tacos.

I don't really write many reviews on here but I had to do so after eating at Bora Bora. The reviews are true, the best chicken tacos in all of Portland. Actually, the best chicken tacos I've ever had in my life. The freshest cut cabbage and chopped chicken ever. Will be back all the time, thank you for doing God's work.

Bit down on what I thought was a bone but turned out to be a broken can opener.

This is my first review ever on Yelp. Stop what you're doing and get yourself some chicken. Amazing burritos.

Awesome chicken, tender most and flavorful. Great sides too. Fresh salsa with good heat. Call ahead to ensure chicken available.

Hauling out to deep division and grabbing the chicken dinner at this truck satisfies in ways that few dining experiences in this city can.

It had a panko crust which sometimes I prefer to batter. They were a little bit salty for my taste but ever since I got COVID lots of things have tasted salty so take that with a grain of salt I'm not a tartar sauce guy but this is some great sauce. I feel like later I got a piece of tarragon(?) out of my teeth and reminded me of the herby yummy sauce. I scoffed at first at the chips. Very non uniformly cut but surprisingly all well cooked. I don't know if it's they type of potato but the skin was really off putting. But solid toothsome chips that a splash of vinegar helps a lot. If I end up in a similar position again I'll definitely consider coming back.

I came after a review I read on Eater for FoPo area eats. I'm not a huge fried food fan but this place was good. I got the Steelhead trout fish and chips. Wait was ok they give you a buzzer so you can stroll around the food court. Took about 10 mins not bad. The locally sourced steelhead was a delicious surprise. Tender, juicy fish with crispy breading. Good seasoning. Fries were thicker so not as crispy but still hearty. 3 medium sized pieces of fish. They included ketchup for the fries as well as malt vinegar and tartar sauce for authentic fish dip. Wedge of lemon, too! All in a earth-friendly cardboard box. They take credit just fine. Very convenient location at Carts on Foster just down the street from where I was staying. So I walked back and enjoyed there. If you're staying you could probably cruise over to any local breweries or the bar cart for a beer to complement the fried food. Good time!!!
