I agree with the other reviews. Not great brands or inventory here and a large dress section. Lots of signs saying to not open packages. Overall I feel like the merchandise here wasn't worth the prices they were asking and I couldn't find anything worth purchasing. read more

SPRING IS ON THE WAY, TIME TO SPRUCE THINGS UP! It is that time of year again when we start looking to freshen up our personal space. Sometimes you just get bored and need a new look or you want to re-purpose a particular room or space. When it comes to home décor and simple accents, Ross is one of my favorite stores to visit because it has a cool and creative vibe. You just never know what you might find. Before I head out to the store, I "shop the house". This is where I go around to every room including the attic and various closets to borrow and steal key pieces. For example, those black wooden enclosed shelves that were once mounted on the wall in my children's room are now being used as a standing shelf instead of the typical night stands. Since they are three feet tall, they have great visual impact and are able to hold a variety of items. They also maximize space with their space-saving design. When visiting Ross, I was interested in a set of colorful cotton sheets, baskets and other accent pieces. I didn't find the sheets, but they did have some great baskets. These baskets are made in Vietnam and are a heavier texture and weave than some of the traditional baskets. They also offer oval and rectangular shapes instead of typical square designs. I purchased several of these because I knew that they would look great with my existing decor. I was right as they are a perfect fit. Score!! Next, I saw these two identical, hideously painted, (mint green) small tables with three shelves. Despite their color, they caught my attention because they were identical, (I love symmetrical design), they had three shelves which would provide greater function, and they had protective covers on all four corners. The corner covers indicate to me that care was taken during the shipping process to make sure that any possible damage would be avoided. I also liked that they were an open design that would provide less visual clutter and greater access than a dresser or cabinet. I knew that they could be painted so I purchased them. If I am unsure of something, I purchase it anyway knowing that I can always return it if there is a problem. I would rather return something than have regrets about not purchasing it. Also, I know that I have thirty days to make a return so there is no rush. In addition to these two tables, I notice that Ross has other some other cute accent tables that are great as sofa tables or to just add a bit of spice to your existing décor. These tables are between $129 and $160, my tables were $60 each and the baskets start at $4 and up depending on size. At the Johns Creek location, I purchased a large basket that was about two feet high so it was nice and deep and the perfect vessel to hold my over-flow paper products purchased in bulk. This basket was available at the Kennesaw location as well. Overall, I found this store to be very clean and organized. It is well stocked with spring colors and great home décor items which are going fast! Checking out was quick and easy as they had two registers open and traffic flowed nicely. This is definitely a nice store and certainly recommended for all of your home décor needs! read more

When I go shopping, I like to be able to find what I'm looking for. In this particular location, it's quite difficult most times. One of the other things I really don't like is the way the employees treat me. Here I am, walking down an aisle when suddenly an employee appears at the head of the aisle. As she turns the corner to the same place I'm in, she's walking down the middle of it. I'm trying to look at shoes and she's sashaying right down the middle. When she gets close to me, she doesn't scoot over. She just keeps going, bumping me and then saying, oops, sorry. Okay, Irritating, but whatever. So then I am in the home section, the pillow aisle, to be exact. There are two employees there, taking up the whole of the aisle. I turn down it, wanting to see if they have anything I want. Although the employees move, they do so barely. There is just enough room for me to inch by. Then they start talking all about their exes and baby mama's and all sorts of juicy gossip. I just shake my head wishing they would hush and let me shop in peace. This store isn't managed properly. I'd love to get my hands on the management position. There is so much more to customer service, such as basic politeness, that seems to be missing from here. read more

Ya I hnow, I've been in here plenty of times and bought some nice discount clothes, occasional housewares at decent prices but lately, more often than not I've laid down what's on my arms or set aside my buggy when I make to checkout. Ross is incapable of figuring out when it's time to open up a new register when the line gets long. I'm not waiting 20 minutes to check out-Anywhere. Last time I was there they had 2 registers going with 20 customers on line. Marshals/TJ Maxx, they've got it figured out and they're clothing for men are less "urban" as well. And no it's not resist comment I just don't wear oversized shirts and pants intentionally designed to be worn with half of my butt hanging out. I love Ross. I usually find great dresses and shoes. I always find great things for my home as well. This location is the closest to me and although i don't always leave with a good find but i do enjoy the hunt. I take my time and find the perfect item. The staff are all so kind and are always willing to help me find something. The super hot cashier guy is also a major plus for the ladies lol. :p The young manager ( black girl) is seriously the most rude, unkind and condescending person i think i have ever met. She is the reason i can not give this store all 5 stars. She, literally, ruins my experience there just every time i encounter her. I do not understand how she got her position because she has HORRIBLE people skills. She is absolutely amazing at making you feel as if you are a bother to her and that she could care less about being their or the customers. I have noticed other customers very very uncomfortable around her as well. read more

Have been in 5 Ross stores this week. Looking for a rug. This Ross was the neatest by far!!

The staff here is extremely incompetent.i told the cashier that I wanted to give her change and she told me no the drawer is already open then closed it. As someone who works in retail AS LONG AS YOUR DRAWER ISN'T SHORT AT THE END OF YOUR SHIFT IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT YOU PUT IN THE COMPUTER. If someone is giving you exact change then you then you give them a dollar back. When I go to ask for a manager she proceeds to try to argue with me. If I could give this store 1 star I would. Don't shop here!!!! read more

I love this store...when I can actually find things. There are tons of dresses, but not much of anything else. Not sure why this location has trouble with inventory, but it always look like they are moving since a lot of shelves and racks are virtually empty. read more

The employees from friday afternoon, May 24, except the security were very rude and didnt help at all. I lost my phone and the person who found it asked if someone had lost the phone and they said no. The cameras supposedly didnt work and the manager said they couldnt check them. This is definitely my last time coming to the store. The manager was rude. The only thing they did was say im sorry!!! But fortunately for me there are still good people and the person who found it returned. read more

Overall, I like this store. My only complaint is the lack of pants in my size. I can never find a 3 or 4 in dress pants or even most jeans!

I really enjoy going to Ross and this one is the closest to me. Unfortunately, the staff is poorly trained and supervision is lacking. The Management is non-existent, which has resulted in some very uncomfortable experiences for me and my teenaged kids. As I'm walking down an aisle with my 16 daughter, the associate just on the other side from us says, out loud, "who goes to a store at this hour anyway. I guess we are never going to get out of here on time tonight". I was absolutely taken back and had to bite my lip. I wanted to explain to this ignorant person that we are paying their salary and that customers are the core purpose of them having a job in the first place. If you dislike your job that much, then they should get educated and better themselves instead of being rude in the presence of paying customers. On another occasion, an associate made a rude comment to another staff member with clear intentions for it to be heard by anyone in the store. She said something to the effect "I can't stand when people just come here and walk around the store right before we are suppose to close". There was 15 mins until closing and I had merchandise to purchase. Lastly, one night they barricaded the front entrance by blocking the front door with a line of carts, making it look like they had closed. It was 30 mi s before closing and I had to knock on the window. The staff had headed to the back of the store when they saw me walking up from the parking lot. Finally, someone opened the door, moved the lined up carts and let me in. It blows my mind that Management is blind to the total unprofessional behavior of the associates and the rude language used along with inappropriate topics discussed while speaking at levels that are best described as "yelling". Corporate will be getting a call for sure!! I manage a business and would definitely round up all these ungrateful people and send them on their way. They don't deserve to collect a paycheck. read more
