I don't have much expectations for ANY Ross stores. That being said, I am not offended by the disheveled aisles, misplaced sizes & hangers on the floor. I do love that I find some great candles, unique home decor and children's clothing at great prices. This place is honestly one of the worst retailers I've been to. A cashier failed to hand all of my bags to me forcing me to return to get my items that I paid for. I said that I would like to complain about the cashier as he was rude during my entire encounter at the store and she told me that I forgot to grab my bag. Went in today and at check out Elvia mentioned she had no tissue to wrap my porcelain containers. That she would bag them individually. The line to checkout got long and she was the only cashier. She was rushing and was just careless with my items. I asked her to please wrap each container in a bag then put them back in the separate bags she had done. She got bothered and rolled her eyes and said I can't and hands ME 1 bag and continued to checkout the customer after me.. So I had to grab the bags myself and wrap them carefully. She was bothered even more because i was still standing there bagging my purchase. Wanting me to move out the way, But since she didn't do it, I had to do it myself so my containers wouldn't break. When this Ross re-opened, it looked decent inside. I was hoping that since it's near the college they would keep it nice. Now it looks like a pig sty. I hate going in here so much that I just don't. I'll drive to the one in San Dimas first because at least that one doesn't have clothing spread all over the floor. I love Ross, been shopping at their stores for several years! It's finally time to say, and this goes to all Rosses, please DO NOT PUT THE PRICE TAG STICKERS ON THE INSIDE OF THE SHOES!!!. We have to practically RUIN the shoe to get it off and if we don't take it off the glue smudges and gets dirty and never comes off. That goes for those horrible puncture security pins in the shoes!!!! It's a HOLE! DON'T DO IT. I realize it's a knock-off price, but YOUR store is damaging the items by doing this! I bought this nice Jones of New York shoe and sad to say the inside suede is now ruined trying to get the darn sticker off! I've been coming to this Ross since I was a broke citrus college student back in the late 90s. Honestly, it's hasn't changed at all since then. The store is still messy and disorganized (especially the shoe area). The prices are still really good and the home decor always has some great items. I don't come here as much as I used to because I really dislike the long lines and during the holidays I find it almost unbearable. Yet, I continue to stop by for old times sake and for some deals when I have the time and patience to forage through for some good deals. read more

This store just opened up and they are clearly not practicing any type of social distancing in the wake of the Covid! As soon as the cashier hands you the receipt, they're calling for the next customer to come up before you're even able to take your bags and leave the counter. I would be hopeful that this store would go back and re-train their employees because they're clearly not doing an adequate job of protecting their customers! I have also reached out to their corporate office to discuss their safety protocols! I wrote down addresses for Eastland shopping center in West Covina Had 2753 E Eastland Center Drive. I went there and found myself at Walmart. I am disabled and can not walk far. Did not go. Came home and called them. The lady that answered claimed she was head manager. She gave me the same incorrect address. She said that was mailing address. Super messy + disorganized especially with TOYS everywhere. I get it- Christmas is around the corner but stacking toys on top of toys = disaster. There are toys scattered everywhere making it difficult to push your cart through without 1. Knocking stuff over or 2. Running stuff over. Lines are typically long with very minimal cashiers. Parking is ample but shared with several other businesses. I only go here due to how convenient it is (literally around the corner). There are always a lot of items damaged, dirty, or broken. This can be due to the overload of the stuff laid out on the floor but still unprofessional. They do not have jewelry like other Ross locations. Make sure you come with patience and time because you literally need all the patience and time to hunt for deals + worth it items. read more

This Ross is located in the same plaza as Fresh & Easy, Styles & Smile Bright Dental (the store is right next to this dental place by the way). There is plenty of parking in the parking lot, so parking should be a cinch. Anyways, I really like this store, as it seems to be better organized than the Ross in Monrovia/ Duarte. There were definitely a bit more selection here than the one in Monrovia/ Duarte as well. But of course that just depends on what you are looking to buy. Yesterday I came here and saw a lot more of selection of pants here, but the day before yesterday, I went to the other Ross store and there was a much smaller selection of pants. But both store locations have plenty of shirts and dresses to try on and choose from. The changing rooms here for the women were clean and it is nice that there is a vertical mirror in each room. Overall, really enjoyed my shopping experience and would prefer to come back here next time over the other Ross location. read more

I'm giving this Ross 5 stars because in relation to all the other Ross' in the area (san Dimas, West Co) this one is the best in my opinion. The employees are nicer. The floor is more organized and cleaner The dressing rooms are plentiful and neat The home section is larger and has more merchandise I like going there right when they open for a less crowded shopping experience. The things about Ross Stores is that they are always so messy and unorganized but you always find some pretty good deals. I mainly come here for my workout clothes as I find Nike and Under Armor gear for a good deal! You really need to improve on the speed of checkout as there is always only 1 or 2 cashiers and the line is ridiculous long! read more

Went to the Ross store on Alosta in the city of Azusa. A heavy set older lady with glasses named Adela, probably the same person who was mentioned on another post, was extremely rude to me and my son. I bought my son some cleats for football and realized they weren't very comfortable. We bought them on Sunday and took them back Monday and Adela refused to exchange them for another pair. Pretty sure Ross's return/exchange policy did not changed because we never have any issues at the Ross in San Dimas where we usually shop. However, after this experience I will reconsider my choice to shop at Ross. The worst customer service from any Ross store ever! read more

I hate that people come into this store knowing that there will be a line, its one of the busiest Ross stores around, then complaining about it. Also if your going to complain about the other shoppers that has absolutely nothing to do with the workers. as for the "frumpy" look of the store; im pretty sure that has nothing to do with the costumer service. Now for the review of the customer service. The people that work here are very brave, iv been there when they have had to clean up disgusting bodily fluids/ things. Impressed? Not at all. The store is a pretty large size, but there are half-empty racks and lots of empty space. The clothes they have here is actually fine quality and they do have a lot more items on clearance than other Ross stores. I recommend before actual shopping, look through all the clearance items and you'll mostly likely find some really good sales! Fitting rooms are clean but NO LOCKS. Extremely limited baby and kids clothes (3-6months is the most popular size). Store is pretty clean, except near the shirt aisles, many of the clothes are dirty and dusty already because they've been on the floor. I even saw security fixing up the racks, where are the actual workers??? Good job security for actually attempting to keep the store clean, there was no line and three cashiers open, I'm pretty sure someone could've made a few rounds to tidy up the place a bit. Besides shirts, everything seems to be in the right place for the most part. The Skinny: Aisles are usually clear, but things are still messy sometimes. They don't have a jewelry section like most stores but other than that, it's a pretty average Ross. The Fat: I dinged one star because of the wait times in line. I dinged another star because they don't have a bike rack and I asked if I can park it inside and the answer was a snarky no. I dinged another star because one of the loss prevention guys literally chases down people because an alarm goes off. Don't worry man, the old lady is still at the door...but I honestly hate over-reacting security. I know it's Azusa and things can be rough, but give your customers some dignity. read more

This is the worst Ross ever!!! I occasionally like to shop at Ross for pet items and housewares, but this store will make you change your mind completely against this chain. Let me start with the overall condition of the store: The racks and isles are constantly messy and disorderly, not to mention sparse. The items that are there are generally broken, dirty, missing parts, or just plain damaged. The store atmosphere: I've been in there a few times, at varying times of the day, hoping that things will be different. Unfortunately, there is no time that I've been in there when there weren't screaming, crying, unsupervised, uncontrollable children running a muck through the store. Customer service: Never has there been more than two cashiers at one time - and this includes the customer service counter. The cashiers have been reasonably pleasant but unfortunately the entire check-out process is ridiculously slow. When I feel like I want to shop at Ross, I usually visit another Ross, which is not as close as this one is, but it allows me to have a much more pleasant shopping experience. However, I had a return and to save some time, I decided to give the Azusa store one more chance. Big mistake!!! All of the reasons why I don't come to this store hit me in the face. After 30 seconds, I turned around and walked out. I realize this is a discount store, but give me a break. I know Ross can't do a lot about the screaming children, but at least they can employ enough employees to keep the place neat enough to actually shop in. It's pretty ghetto here now, clothes aren't sorted well, and the shoes are all over the place. They have a new sign here, when you're standing in line. It says that the employees take an average of x.x seconds to remove hangers, and it challenges you to remove them faster. I don't know what the time was, but I called BS, no way that the employees took them out that slow. Anyway, the clothes selection isn't for me, I only shop for socks here. read more

This Ross has a nice selection of clothing but I'm big on customer service. This location has no sense of urgency. On a few of my visits I see the workers just talking amongst themselves and taking their time. On my recent visit I was next in line and no one acknowledged my precense as I waited for them to figure something out. In a beautifully new renovated shopping mall, and what does this location of Ross decide to do... look a wee bit frumpier. I didn't think it was possible, but yet, I am a swap meet kind of gal, so I accept the nastiestness and find yet, again a nice bargain. Yes, the cashiers are slow, but it is a great time to meditate in line and think about all the money you saved. Me and my wife just left the Ross in Azusa and the rudest check out lady helped us, she was a older heavyset Mexican lady that when she started checking us out she was talking to another sale girl that was there, she was oblivious to the customers she was taking care of, before we walked up to the counter she was talking to another sales associate and was very rude to them, I think she feels she can treat people like crap and there's not thing anyone can do about it, my wife fondly said why don't you pay attention to your customers rather then talking to your co-workers, we will not be going back to that store as long as that lady is there. read more

We had purchased three pair of pants two days ago but when we got home we realized that one of them was ripped and decided to go get money back but cashier Antonniet was so questioning about this item "why did it ripped" "did u wash it" and so on. I recently went to this Ross location on Saturday (2.20.16) around 4pm . I never had a bad experience here until that day. I waited in line to pay. Meanwhile my mom was in the return line they have. The girl named Angelica helped out a customer In front of my mom. She ignored to see my mom standing in line as if she was invisible. And started to put all the hangers back she literally took 4 min , taking her time putting one by one .The girl who helped me check out her name was Kayla or Karla said she'd help us out as soon as she finished helping a customer . Anyone who knows me knows that I shop at Ross (and it's competitors) frequently. You can call me an expert on most Ross: Dress for Less stores in the area. I truly LOVE this Ross mainly because of its location to my place of employment and how successful I have been at finding great deals on name brand items. My MAIN complaint that leaves me bitter when leaving this store is the customer service. It is guaranteed that you will wait a least 15 minutes in line because of how SLOW the cashiers are. I really dislike this Ross, it's DIRTY, the customer service is terrible, items are always broken, clothing dirty, don't GO NEAR THE REST ROOMS!!! I also think they need to have signs in the fitting room that say "FITTING ROOMS ARE NOT RESTROOMS" I've seen blood smeared on the dressing room walls, and one time, what I believe to be, poop. By far the WORST Ross I have ever been to. I get anxiety every time I step into any Ross because they are usually messy and you have to really hunt for something you want. I mainly go to these types of stores for kitchen tools, which is why I was there today. I have been here a good 4 times now and every single time the cashiers are just hanging around, enjoying a soda, talking on the phone or with each other and there will be a line near the back of the store and 2 cashiers slowly ringing up customers. Today was an absolute zoo. There were 2 unattended children, obviously twins, who couldn't have been more than 4 (I think they were 3 really) running up and down isles screaming and snapping at people to "watch out." No parent/guardian to be found anywhere. I make it to my line safely and only 1 person ahead of me getting her 3 items rung up (took more than 15 minutes and only 1 other cashier open who had more than 10 people in line) with an old lady behind me asking if this certain table cloth was black. Looking at the large sticker labeled "BLACK" I said, "Yep, it's definitely black." She went on to telling me what it is for and holding her hands out in measurement asking "How many inches do you think this is?" I had no idea.. by now these wild children were fighting over a large toy box screaming at each other. I kept looking around to see if anyone even noticed... nope. Normal activity I guess. The front door opens and there is a lady, "Boys! Come on! Time to go!" Out ran the kids with the lady. Still no one noticed. The old lady behind me is still talking about something, I don't know what, then says "can I jump in front of you?" I stutter and blurt out "Sorry, I.. uhhh... no. I have to get back to work." Finally she stopped talking. I got the hell out and now all I can think of after that fiasco and this 100+ heat is a massive margarita. read more

We bought some black pants and a diffuser at this Ross less than a week ago. We bought a few other items too. When we got home my daughter tried the pants on only to find they were torn and had some weird stain on the back. The diffuser didn't even work after my daughter put essential oils in it. We went to return them today. The cashier Eva was sooooooo rude!! I have come to this road for almost 8 years and I've never had someone lack customer service skills like this lady! Her demeanor was just awful. She treated us like we were criminals. She was just so negative. I asked for the manager who came and she was almost as bad as Eva. The managers name was Adriana. They would not return the items saying we had used them when in fact we had not! I told the manager we had to put essential oil in the diffuser in order to see if it worked. Only when I asked for her manager, then she agreed to give us a refund for the diffuser. My daughter ended up telling the cashier to throw away the pants cause we didn't want their junk. This Ross not only sells filthy and torn clothing but stuff that doesn't even work, but on top of that, they are super rude! I will never come here again ! They lost a great customer who has been coming here for almost 8 years! Do yourself a favor and stay away from this dump and go to Marshall's which is probably less than a mile away.
