Over the holidays I had seen Marshall's was selling everlasting punching bags and made a note to purchase one at the start of the new year. I walked into my local Marshall's (Eastland Center) and asked a floor employee if they still had any and she had no idea what I was talking about. I got on my phone and looked up the next nearest location which turned out to be Glendora. I rang them up and a gentleman by the name of Enrique politely placed me on hold and within moments confirmed they had four available. While on the call I had started to make my way over because I had ten minutes until they closed the store. I let Enrique know I was on my way and he told me there was no certainty I'd be able to make the purchase if I arrived after 9:30 pm. Having worked retail, I completely understood this. I'm sure all the employees had worked a hard day and would want to be starting their closing duties but I figured I would try. I was fortunate to catch a string of green lights and pulled into the parking lot seconds before 9:30. Enrique was by the items I had inquired about and had a dolly ready to transport whichever I chose to the register. I settled on an 80 lbs bag and quickly made my purchase. The woman who rang me up was also very courteous, friendly, and professional (I'm sorry I didn't catch your name) but thank you for the service you provided. After I paid, Enrique continued to be a major help by carting the item to my car and helping me load it. The level of service at the Glendora location was infinitely superior to that of my local location. The staff at Glendora all had a positive energy that was felt in the store. They had closed their store and the last customers they rang up, so I understand the eagerness that employee might feel when the end of the day has come and they just are ready to get their clothing duties done and head home for a much deserved nights rest. Based on the level of tenderness and service provided by Enrique and his coworkers, I will be traveling the extra miles to shop this location instead of my local store at the Eastland Center. Thank you all much so much. I'm so happy with my purchase and it was a refreshing reminder that good customer service; one that goes above and beyond, still exists. read more

What else can you say about this or any Marshall's locations? It is a hit and miss, but there is always something to see in this store. This specific store was clean, and the employees were super friendly, which was a BIG plus. Prices, as always, are very affordable, and the selection of clothing is huge. read more

'Tis the season to be jolly Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la.... Well to be honest Marshall's has all the seasons, from Christmas to Valentine's Day decorations or clothing. Puzzles (which the kiddos love) to kid socks with grip (no kid needs to be sliding like Tom Cruise in Risky Business). If you can find it you can buy it. Sometimes it's just the finding that is the tough part. We bought a few puzzles for the kids and they loved them. We went back looking for a few more but no puzzles this time. Even coming on a week day it felt like it was the peak of Christmas season in January with the store feeling packed. Even the cashier said "today feels like a Friday" (it was Monday). I'm really disappointed with my experience at this Marshalls location. I tried to return an item that didn't fit my niece, and even though it was in perfect condition with the tags, the employees refused to give me a refund. They claimed the item "didn't match the description," which made no sense -- especially since that's not something a customer can control. I followed every part of the return policy, yet I was made to feel like I had done something wrong. I ended up letting it go, not because they were right, but because it's not in my character to argue over something like this. I've worked in customer service before, and I know what it feels like when a situation turns into a dead end. But it was still frustrating and honestly unfair to say the least. I shop at Marshalls often, but after this experience, I'm definitely reconsidering. Better training and more respectful customer service are needed. read more

Hi! This review isn't about the store specifically, but rather about an event that occurred in their store. My cellphone was stolen off my person at this Marshall's location on Thursday, 11/07 at approximately 6:30PM. The staff were kind and helpful, however they had no asset protection on site at the time. Just wanting to post here to give folks a heads up as I heard from Glendora Police that this is more common than you think. My son needs to get some new tops, we were looking to see if there's anything that would fit him well. We were helped by Thelma who was in the fitting room as she helped give us guidance on some of the clothes he should buy given he's in the stage of boys to young men. The customer service was 100%. This place sells used items, clearly used and refuses to discount it. Like wouldn't you want some money from this? Greedy company for sure. Why sell a dirty used item at full price? I always come here for the best polo shirts and funny printed T-shirts for a very reasonable price and other good finds. I usually go straight to the right side on the wall for the shirts that are displayed. You can't go wrong here because those are the best ones in the store. My daughter, very fashionable, and wife found stylish or in vogue dresses here for good prices. I also found a lot of useful things for my dogs, from leashes, toys, and shampoos to poop bags. They also have a whole selection of Halloween decor where I ended up spending a whole lot of money, lol! And if you're looking for kitchen stuff, bedroom linen, furniture, and wall art frames, they're all here. I wouldn't bother with the low quality shoes, though. And if you've been here too long, they have clean restrooms. Next door they have Sprouts if you get hungry or a thirsty store on the other side. Wells Fargo a few steps away if you need more cash. Marshalls is a store where you go when looking for things that are not that expensive. They have good selections on things you need that are lower in price then say you went to a department store. The big thing I like is that they have certain items my wife is looking for, even though I have to have perfect timing to get them and find them. Walked up to the register with our purchases. This is verbatim the "conversation" we had with Andrew L. Him: Would you like to save 10 percent with the Marshall's Reward Credit Card? Us: No thanks. Too many bills. Him: This would help pay bills. Saving ten percent is a good first step. Us: Appreciate it but we're gonna pass. Him: Man... I can't believe you want to pass on saving some money today with a Marshall's credit card. At this point my wife asked me for the keys and informed me she was going to wait in the car. She was beyond pissed. Him: What about now? You want to sign up and surprise her? ( At this point, I'm in damage control mode mentally. Because I want to push his face through the register.) Was walking through the aisles and damn near tripped on someone's pit bull. Confused as to why there was a dog in the store, I spoke to the cashier about it. Me: "Are you aware there's a pit bull in the store?" Cashier: "Is it nice?" Me: ".............I didn't stop to pet it if that's what you're asking. Just wanted to bring to your attention there is a large dog in your store that isn't a service animal." Cashier: "Oh, we allow pets in the store." (News to me since there wasn't a "Pets Allowed" sign in the front.) She continued, "You should've seen this lady yesterday. She brought in 3 dogs and they were all really friendly." Me: "Pit bulls notoriously aren't, but, okay........?" The cashier started to give me the "pit bulls are nice dogs actually, they just have a bad rap" spiel but they had just finished ringing me up so I walked away. Wasn't interested in whatever flimsy argument they were about to make. Dogs are products of their owners/environment, I get it, but I shouldn't have to worry about whether an animal has had a good or bad life while shopping for discount clothes lol. The aisles in Marshall's are very narrow and many clothing items hang close to the floor, so, don't shop here if you have an allergy or aversion to animals. read more

Newly opened location (an employee told me that they opened on May 18), located right next to Sprouts. Sprouts and Marshalls took over the old Ralph's market location. I stopped by this store with my husband after doing our weekly shopping at Sprouts because I am currently looking for a new luggage (no thanks to my last trip with United Airlines... checking in my red Samsonite luggage bag, the zippers were torn off, a few straps were broken just to name a few...). But I am looking for a suit case that is a it more indestructible. But I also want some type of pockets in the front of the luggage that I can easily access. The only type of luggage that seems to be best check in proof are those shell case luggage. But most of these type of suit cases do not have that pocket that I am looking for (I like to keep a small cell phone charger and other things that I can easily access in the front of my suit case in case I need it while I wait for my flight. This is much more convenient than to have to unzip my suitcase to get to it). I am also looking for this luggage to be a carry on size. With such features that I am unwilling to compromise, I have been very unsuccessful at finding such a suit case (maybe one doesn't even exist?). But to my surprise, I found one made my Nautica that was sitting in the travel section of this store. There were actually two, one light blue and one royal blue. I brought both up to the register to see if a manager would be willing to give me a discount on the light blue suit case since it had grey markings all over the front. Eventually when a manager came (some times Nordstrom Rack, Ross, Marshalls will provide customers an additional discount on items if they are damaged. You just have to ask) she looked over the luggage and said that these lines could be easily removed with a towel, rubbed over the marks. She told me if they do not then to return it, but she won't give me an additional discount (boo, wished she would have just given me at least a small discount). I didn't want to have to come back if the marks did not come off so I ended up purchasing the royal blue luggage since it didn't have these marks on it (I just liked the light blue color a little better and figured it would be easier to spot in case I get randomly chosen to check in my bag, which seems to happen to me often these days). After tax, this suit case cost me a little under $55. I am thrilled to finally find a suit case that will hopefully stand up to the rough and tough movements if I ended up having to check in my bag (usually against my own will), in addition to having a pocket in the front to keep things organized and for me to get to if needed. My experience in the store itself was a pleasant one. The aisles were clean and free of clutter. Saw lots of real cute things, including socks with dogs on them and an I Love Dogs sweater (but a bit over priced though and the quality was rather poor). Will definitely stop by here again if I am shopping at Sprouts next door. read more

Overall I like this Marshall's mostly because of the great finds. The shoe department is a complete mess every time I come so I just simply avoid it. I don't want to be digging through piles of shoes all over the floor. Although I don't blame it so much on employees but more on customers who don't have the decency to put things back where they got them from. The home department always seems to have really nice items at good prices. As for the clothes, I like the name brands and the prices. Jeans are my favorite to buy here. read more

It has been a while since I stopped by here. Today the store seemed a bit more organized than usual. It's still a bit messy and you have to dig through things sometimes but overall, its due to the customers not employees in my opinion. I've seen it. Usually, it's the makeup isles because all of us crazy makeup people are looking for some good deals. Cashiers are nice and friendly. I love looking through the clearance and seasonal items. Really have to dig for the best goodies and prices. I like looking through the kitchen section as well. Parking is decent but bathrooms can use some cleaning up. read more

Great store BUT... they're making zero effort to enforce mask wearing. Multiple times I have shopped here recently, several customers are walking around without a mask. Manager says they "always offer those people a mask but if they refuse it, they just let them shop". 1) I've never seen any person without a mask be approached at this store, even after I asked the manager to do so. 2) The two times I asked the manager about this, she seemed slightly annoyed. It's understandably a tough situation, but there's a sign on the front door that says face masks are required. So if any customer does not comply, that customer should be asked to leave the store. Alright. So I came to this location to do a little Christmas shopping and found these nice dressy shoes for my boyfriend. He's a size 12 and the only size 12 just happened to be on display. I seen that there were a few scratches on the shoe and asked for 10% off. I was very pleased with the 10% off and I couldn't be happier. By far one of the better Marshalls! Beats the one inside the Ontario Mills and the one on Summit in Fontana. This one always has soooo many things. Its definitely my go to once a month or so when I come visit my dentist. There shoe selection and kitchen/ houseware decor selections never ever disappoints. Staff is always pleasant and store is always clean!! Just hate the higher taxes they charge here than in the IE, but that is life. If you love TJ, Marshalls or Nordstrom rack type discount stores for steals, stop by this one for sure! read more

This location is aiight. Some aisle such as the gourmet food and kitchen goods are Not as stocked as the monrovia,pasadena ,Eastland or even Compton locations but it's still relatively new. I did score a few things that I hadn't seen on the clearance racks at other locations. Got a set of Kate spade sheets for $25 and they are unbelievably soft 100% cotton . I also got some recycled drinking glasses for $8 in the kitchen clearance area. They are the prettiest color of blue too. I originally stopped by here to return something so wasn't planning on getting anything but the glasses but was pleasantly surprised by a few things here. Nice sized parking lot . It's next door to a sprouts market which is about new as this Marshall's I think. There's also a drive thru coffee bean in this lot among some other nice spots . first time coming to this location they had a decent amount of good finds...found a two piece work out crop tops in clearance, one pair was white and sage green the other was white and yellow, I wanted the green and white but it didn't have a clearance tag like the yellow one did I took the green up to check out keep in mind the white crop top that comes with the green crop top was pretty dirty thats why I thought it was in the clearance.....I told the cashier about how it didn't have a clearance tag and how the white crop top was dirty anyways if she can discount it because for both it was 16.99 she asked, im guessing the "manager" who looked pretty young with sandy blonde hair and the manager really told me "I can not discount it for you but you can take it home and wash it if you'd like, and if the stains dont come out then return it!" like girl im not going to pay full price for a dirty shirt to try to take it home and work some stains out!!!! like wtf I'd understand if it was discounted but full price for a dirty ass crop top when the yellow and white is the same exact brand for $10 clean and all!!!!!!!! the nice cashier asked if I wanted to go get the yellow and white one which I did but im a little disappointed because it was the last green and i really wanted it I should of just took off the green took the tag off and put it with the yellow lol but no I had to do it the legal way. stingy ass manager!!! read more
