First I went to Marshall's and found a nice Samsonite bag, a carry on size for $99.99. My wife said it was probably less @ Ross Dress for Less. We went to Ross on Tuesday where I found the exact same Samsonite bag for $79.99, Cool Deal. In addition Ross has a 10% discount for Seniors on Tuesday so I took another $8 off of the purchase price. Can't argue w/saving an additional $28. Long story short I bought the bag @ Ross & returned the other bag to Marshall's. ADDENDUM: In addition I found a carryon Samsonite bag for $55.99. Between the initial $28 I saved another $24 off. So all told we were able to get the Samsonite carry on for $44 dollars less than the initial price.

Prices are affordable and vary from clearance to high end. I can always find a great deal! It's special a great value for young ladies. Drop them off and sit at Scoops while they shop and shop and shop. Better yet catch a movie. One warning: Never, never, go in with them. If you make that mistake you will only do it once. Let them judge for themselves what they think is "fashion" while you get to spend $10 for a dress instead of $400 at Macy's. So, I'm converted. I'm gonna start checking out Marshalls and it's sister store, TJ Maxx, more regularly. I also find I really like their athletic section. The trip here pretty much started off poorly from the time I entered. I had an Amazon return which I brought to Kohl's; next time I may just pay for the box and whatever I need so I can return it at a UPS store. The item I had was very awkwardly shaped and somewhat heavy, and I used auto opening door to get in. There are two sets of doors before you're in the store and though the button outside the store that opens the doors worked, the one between the two sets of doors did not. It wasn't even one of those stupid doors that requires the door behind you to shut before you can open the next one, because I did that and it didn't open. Luckily there was a group of carts just inside the store. I got in line at the register where it said checkout and returns. Of course once I get to the cashier I'm told I have to go upstairs, because that's where Amazon returns go. Perhaps update your sign? I was pointed to the elevator in the corner, and headed over. It was almost as far away from the west entrance to the store as one could get, which isn't a problem for me but as I passed the north entrance of the store, I saw its marked emergency exit only with a couple cones in front of it. So to recap: Disabled folks may not be able to get into the west entrance (unless the door was just being moody when I was trying to use it) and they also can't use the north entrance that's steps away from the elevator because that entrance is an emergency only exit? Kohl's is actively discouraging disabled folks from visiting their store. I was in here for 10 minutes and couldn't wait to get out.

The fabric must look beautiful up close as well as striking from a far distance. The dress must not wrinkle when in a suitcase for numerous hours. It must hold up after frequent wearings and not become discolored from heavy sweating. And of course, the cut of the garment must accommodate the physical motions of playing the violin. In other words, it has to look like it belongs on the red carpet but function like athletic gear! I'm thrilled that Thierry was able to accomplish all of this and make dresses that are flattering and that I'm excited to wear each time I put them on. It's a pleasure to work with him and witness his creativity and artistry. I look forward to collaborating on more gowns!

Called the day after Xmas to determine status and person answering the phone said it was shipped on Monday, but couldn't provide any tracking numbers. She called back shortly to advise the items were delivered and on my front porch. There they were, nicely wrapped and packaged. Later in the day I received an email telling me my items were shipped. Excellent customer service, but a bit herky-jerky on their shipping status's. Items all satisfactory!
