I am not a regular at Ross, as a matter of fact barely shop here, because of couple reasons: always dusty and dirty all around the store, items on the shelves are messy, lines are lone... Came by one day due to a specific request by kiddo, and everything confirmed to stay the same after we went in. There are big dusty balls all around the store especially inside dressing room, shoes are allover the place, bags are on the floor, line was all the way to the end of the store with only 2 cashiers working ...you get the picture. If I didn't happen to speak to the manager and found out they had 2 employees called sick at last minute that day and the 2 showed up has been covering down since the shop open that morning, I would gave it a 1 star. I feel bad for the ones working that day but at the same time it was no excuse for the store to remain that dirty. Definitely hope the corporate company will send in a cleaning crew to help out.

It's Ross! A typical hit or miss store. I hadn't been to this location in awhile and stopped in earlier today. Wasn't looking for anything in particular but was doing some browsing and I had time to kill. Speaking of Ross, that's pretty much what you need in here - time and patience. This visit was a miss for me. They didn't have much in my opinion. I spent close to an hour. I found three tops in the Junior's section and some pants..all under $40. Not bad, but no super great finds. Don't get me wrong, I've found amazing deals at Ross before and that's why I continue to visit. I just go in with low expectations. Customer service was good. Parking here is decent. There's a good size parking lot that they share with the thrift store.

Gross. They need to clean up better.

Ross is a discounted department store where you can shop for the whole family. They have clothes for men, women (plus size, petites, juniors, maternity), and children. They also have accessories such as handbags, shoes, sunglasses, and bath and body products. They sell luggages as well. They also sell household items such as kitchenware (pots and pans), bath towels, and bed sheets. Unlike other discounted dept stores like TJ Maxx and Marshall's, I like Ross because they actually have a section for Petites. Although the brands are not as high end as TJ Maxx. I find that the prices at Ross is considerably cheaper than the other two dept stores. My biggest critique is that the restroom and fitting rooms are dirty. There were dust bunnies in the fitting room and paper on the restroom floor. That aside, Ross is a fun place to shop for the whole family.

The only reason I won't leave a one-star review is because I can find cute things here when I feel like really hunting and, with the exception of one cashier who always piddles around like she's doing something to avoid ringing up people, the employees have always been nice. Rather than say anything else, I'm just going to leave a picture....

Stop by to buy something for the house. I just don't know why this place is always busy; I can't find anything that I would like to buy.

This thrift store has mostly used items, but you'll also find new items with the original tags still on them. They have apparel and shoes for men, women, and kids. Additionally they have home goods including toys, kitchenware, appliances, electronics, linen, books, sporting goods, and much more. I was pleasantly surprised to see a number of designer and high quality apparel with the original tags still on them. While other apparel items looked only lightly worn. Among the brands I saw were Vince Camuto, Coach, White House Black Market. Most of the apparel were between $5-$20. In perusing the dresses, I was impressed at how stylish they were. Most of the shoes I saw looked worn and dirty. I wouldn't purchase shoes unless they were brand new. I didn't buy anything this time, but will definitely come back to shop for apparel.

The Columbia 2nd Ave has some of the worst customer service I've experienced at a thrift store,…read moreespecially compared with the Laurel location. During our visit, my wife picked up a bundled stack of empty DVD cases that appeared to be with the merchandise, and instead of simply explaining that they were for store use, an employee abruptly grabbed them away from her. We were completely fine with them not being for sale. The problem was the unnecessary rudeness. Other employees were polite enough to double-check, which made the first employee's behavior stand out even more. The pricing is also far too high for donated merchandise. I tested several electronics and small appliances, and a few were defective or did not work properly, yet they were still priced aggressively. When used items are priced close to retail, customers should at least be able to expect basic functionality and decent service. I contacted the company afterward and received a generic response that technically answered my question but did little to address the actual experience. The Laurel store is much better managed and far more pleasant to shop at.

They have lots of employees fixing and organizing the clothing, or to help with any questions. I have been shopping at Uniqlo for a long time and most of the clothing I have purchased there maintains strength and durability no matter how many times you wash or dry clean them. I do wish there were more locations, but then again not so much bc I'll be broke. I do like their heattech collection, it does keep me warm during colder months. They also offer free alterations depending on what you need done and if it meets the price threshold. I forgot the minimum, but I don't think it was much. If not they charge around $5 or so. This is the closest location in the Pasadena/Annapolis area. They also have a few other locations in Bethesda, Montgomery Mall, and D.C. I'm sure there are more and I've heard there will be a new location in Annapolis Mall. Their clothing can be pricey, depending what you buy. However they do have sales throughout the year and you can get many pieces at a low price. Overall, the Columbia location has a wide variety, but one of their small stores. The location on 5th Ave, NY is by far their largest store.

Earlier this year I'd bought some seamless underwear from Uniqlo in London. I was checking this Columbia location for them, and they were there!
