Each of the past 3 times I've been to this store, I've been double charged for items and charged for items I didn't purchase or receive. WATCH OUT WHEN YOU ARE CHECKING OUT. WATCH YOUR RECEIPTS, especially when you're purchasing many items at a time like I do. First time I went back and they made me sit there for about 20 minutes while they checked the cameras to verify I didn't actually receive the candle I was charged for. Second time I didn't go back over a toy I told the lady to put aside but she swiped it anyway and then put it aside. So I was charged for an item I didn't receive, but I didn't have time to go all the way back there to deal with their theft from me. Now I've been sitting here for about 15 minutes in the store in order for them to correct their mistake because I paid attention and sure enough they charged me twice for a pair of $40 sneakers for my son. read more

Occasionally you forget your pants at home bike commuting and need to ask your colleague to make a run to Ross to pick you up a pair. Yes this actually happened. Sadly it is not the only thing I've forgotten over the years but I digress. Ross purchases can be good finds if you know what you are looking for. Quarterly, I scour the racks searching for a suitable pink shirt to wear on Corporate filing days, the day we submit our financial results to the Securities and Exchange Commission, and while they haven't all been great some of them turned out to be pretty good hits like one with pink flamingos which paid me many compliments from the odd passerby. Some purchases however have quickly made their way to the Goodwill store. A deal is a deal though and here you can find them. I hear that Wednesday's new merchandise arrives so the pickings are choicer on certain days than others. read more

Very big store, can use some cleaning. Store was very dirty and messy. Long wait times, only 4 registers open on a Saturday and they took forever. There was a lot of product but it was just hard to shop and very messy. Fitting rooms were also very run down, again I think it needs a deep cleaning. The employee who rang us up was very friendly and had quick. They also have a great pet section, got my pups some holiday sweaters! read more

Holy cow, this is what nightmares are made of! I know I've never been a Ross fan, but going in there has never scared me. The lines were atrocious. It felt like a flea market. Or worse... as if you'd spend the rest of your life in there. I don't know if this is the norm for this location, but this incident alone had my friend and I hightailing it out of there. Not to mention that we went to find an ugly Christmas sweater for him and the associate we asked was clueless about where to find it. In a blasé voice he just said, "Not sure if we have them, but if we do, they should be over there." No smile, no helpfulness, just matter of fact. No bye either when we left. I hadn't shopped in this location since 1973. I more often try the one in South Miami on US1, and often walk out frustrated because the merchandise is in disarray (emulating the chaos of Big Lots, Dollar General, etc.); the fitting rooms are a mess with trash and clothes left on hangers and benches; the wait line to check out is interminably long; there aren't enough cashiers; and not all of the terminals are functioning. But I was in the Miracle Mile area in need of a special occasion dress and decided to give the Gables store a try. WOW! Well stocked; merchandise arranged attractively and orderly; efficient sales person managing the customers at the fitting room, which was spotless! I purchased a complete ensemble including a slimmer, shoes, and a fancy hair clip for my special occasion event, plus a plush throw, some Anchor Hocking glass food storage containers, and a citrus scented pillar candle (missing those since Pier One closed). Fast efficient check out! Store Security guard watched over my purchases at the back alley entrance while I retrieved my car from the Douglas Ave Sears and returned to put them in the trunk. Kudos to this store's management and staff! Will definitely return when I'm bargain hunting for clothing or home goods. read more

This is probably the largest Ross in the area. It's about as big as the Dolphin Mall one! I like it because it's close to my house and they have long hours. (open until 11pm!) I always find pretty cool things there. I personally love the hunt which is why I have the patience to look through the racks. I usually only shop here early in the morning (before 10am) because anytime before then the store is quiet, clean, no lines. Any time after, the store is usually a madhouse and it's impossible to find an employee to help because they are dealing with the madness. I love their house stuff. It's always cute, well made, and well priced. This is probably my favorite Ross I've visited. read more

Me reviewing Ross, Really ??? I have gone to this place several times, in fact I am quite a regular. Actually my visits to Ross, are more out need than want. You all know that I frequently commute to work by bicycle - although I have suitable facilities where I can clean up in my office before I change into my work clothes, sometimes the trip takes a toll on my finely pressed shirts. Enter Ross, down the street from my office and the wonder of wrinkle free clothing (shirts) I can usually get them for less than 10 bucks ... and than my dear friends is worth four stars. I've been to a few Ross locations in the past (Mall of the Americas, Dolphin Mall and this one), and though I usually only pass through Ross' stores to kill time and to see if they have anything that might interest me, this location on Miracle Mile is really the only store I've had much luck with. It seems they've been doing a better job with organization at this store and things were actually sorted pretty well by size and type of clothing during my last few visits here vs. the past when it was much more disorganized. I've purchased clothing, seasonal items, home décor, bedding and other items here, normally at a fraction of what they'd cost in higher end department stores. Drawbacks at this particular location are the notoriously long checkout lines that seem to be an issue nearly any day or time you come here, the fact that they have so many "loss prevention" staff visible, making customers feel like they're being watched over constantly, and a sad lack of parking (they used to have a large lot with plenty of meter parking right outside their back door, but a condominium has now been built on that property). read more

It's hit or miss here. Sometimes you'll find something out of control awesome and other times you'll be endlessly searching with no prize in near sight. The sunglasses are a bit better here but the women's clothing seems to have taken a dive in quality. I'll search through the home goods section and find something useful almost all of the time but it's frustrating to find a decent pair of jeans at times. The purses can be great if you know how to search and if you have the patience to navigate through the narrow shoe section, you just might find something worthwhile. The parking area is now limited but if you come at the right time, a meter spot just might pop out of nowhere in your favor. Bargain shopping is what they're known for and as long as you got a good eye for those fine pieces, your trip here can be worthwhile. read more

First of all Ross, no matter where you go has some pretty amazing finds. That is after you dig, search and push your way through. Some of my favorite dresses I have purchased for all of $12 - $20. They also have some random items that you can only find that one time so get it, don't think about it. JUST DO IT. Or kiss it goodbye because you will never, ever find it again. So yes, they all have great deals, in Miami or elsewhere. However, in Miami it is a freaking MESS no matter which one you go to. This particular spot is no exception. Its grungy, disorganized, the employees are apathetic and the other patrons will trample you to get what they want. But hey.. its worth it when you find that Nine West pair of shoes for $10. read more

This is an awesome discount retail store, but its days are clearly numbered. As of today (3/15/21), it appears 1/3 of the inventory has now been liquidated with no new stock coming in. The shelves are becoming more and more sparse every day I stop by. All of the clothing and goods have been picked over. Most of the really good stuff is gone. Why you ask? Unfortunately, this single-story discount store is occupying real estate that is literally worth hundreds of millions of dollars. I am surprised it this store has lasted as long as it has. I don't know what the ultimate plans are, but I am betting on another giant expensive Gables hotel or a luxury condominium complex on this site in the near future. It's a shame, but that's the Coral Gables development way. read more

Amazing place to find cute stuff for the cheap! I always come here they have so many different options for their customers. It's close to everything like Denny's chipotle pei wei even a chase bank! I still don't understand what could have made me so desperate to come here. In a nut shell, parking is Coral Gables parking - meaning you must hunt and pay for a spot. I arrived here at 12pm on a Tuesday. The place looked as though it had been ransacked. There were random items thrown in the middle of the aisles, so don't bother with a shopping cart in the home goods area because you can't get very far. While rummaging the blanket section (I left it more organized than how I found it!), people have just dumped coffee cups onto the shelves. Disgusting. People screaming, kids hanging off the clothes racks, literally. As a fellow Yelper said, this place gave me anxiety. It also made me feel as if I were in a jungle. Guess who supposedly got a Ross gift card for Xmas? A week later, it still hadn't arrived, thought it might never be sent and was itching to get some new stuff. So I figured I could always return everything and have it charged to the card later, and off to shop I went. Followed my own advice and went early, while the clothes were still on the racks & not on the floor. Found exactly what my more materialistic side was craving, check-out was very fast this time, and guess what? The card never arrived, so pocketed the money instead! I visited this location of Ross once and I must say that it isn't as busy with people as many of their other locations. Meaning, you don't have to be saying "excuse me" every few seconds, nor are you going to be bumping into shopping carts every few minutes. This was my experience, I assume it varies. It was hard for me to find something, I find that Ross seems to be a hit and miss in that regard. I will say though that the store felt fairly clean but the shopping carts either need to be changed or deep cleaned. The other thing is that the check out line moves super slow...so pack a snack, lol. read more

Love Ross! This one always has great dresses for work which normally what I'm shopping for. The lines have gotten much better since they've redone the check out lanes. Parking is nonexistent since they've put up a condo in the old parking lot. I just park on the street and pay the meter. So be sure to bring change with you! read more

I'd take TJ Maxx over Ross any day, but this location is a pretty good one as far as this chain goes. I was here on this occasion to scope out home goods. Found an adorable bedside table, and because it was slight scuffed on top, got 10% off. :) Score! They had a lot of cute items for bed & bath. I wasn't particularly impressed with the clothes selection, however. The junior department was an utter mess. But all in all, I left happy with my purchase. :) I'm sure I'll be back! read more

I have only been here twice as is far for me, but both times found something amazing at a great price! The last time I was there both checkout areas I. Where the well-to-do Coral Gables set can bargain hunt not too far from their lovely neighborhoods. Do I find that ironic? Yes, but that's equality and capitalism hand-in-hand. Even the posh like finding a deal, just as long the setting isn't too shabby, nor unsightly in neighborhood (have you seen the Ross in downtown Miami?) I rummaged here specifically to find good luggage, I had scavenged the Dadeland-area Ross (on US-1) but found it a bit of a wreck. Here, I found a relatively tidy store and much more selection. There was luggage sets to be find near the entrance and, hidden away, in the back of the store, wall-to-wall. Samsonite, Olympia, American Traveler, Nine West, DVF, hard-case, canvas, hot-pink, sage green, etc. I ended up being undecided between a retro DVF [Diane Von Fursternberg] carry-on roller in fetching lipstick red case with white piping that opened up to show a stunning turquoise interior OR a reflective blue Olympia carry-on 360 deg. rollable wheel set. Either way, both were winners at below $60. Good deals here if you're willing to look. read more

This is definitely my favorite Ross location! It's always clean and organized and it's definitely due to the location that it is in. They also offer more items, and high quality options compared to other Ross locations. I always find great stuff when I come here and their home section is so nice! There are plenty of workers around if you need help, and they are professional and well-mannered. The only thing that can be difficult is parking, especially since they are still renovating the strip, but otherwise I love coming here when possible and finding items for the home. Their home decor is always so nice, and I would definitely say most of mine at home has come from this particular location. If you haven't been here before, and love Ross, I definitely recommend checking it out. I wish my home store looked like this one! read more

This is the only Ross I will ever shop at in Miami. It was actually organized and there always seems to be a better selection of clothing and accessories. They have a jewelry counter with a pretty helpful staff and every time I've gone they always have plenty of cashiers which is a great improvement from the other ones I've been to. read more

This place use to be quick service back in the day.. When they had two check out locations (in the front of the store and the rear). If you needed that inexpensive sports bra or a extra pair of socks in a hurry, it was clutch. This location now has one check out location in the back of the store. The staff is not friendly and the mess is incredible. Avoid this place, spend more money else where ...just to save your time. read more

honestly its a ross, nothing spectacular about it. but the location bumps it up to 4 stars bc its sooo convenient. many a times ive had to stop by there for a last minute gift. and ive always left with something awesome in hand. ive shopped for clothes, shoes, luggage, kids toys, you name it, ive found it here. this morning i had to stop in and buy some gym clothes. i havent had time to do laundry all week and really want to try a new class tonight,, so ross to the rescue. once there i felt really stupid that ive been paying top dollar at sports authority and target for name brands like champion and nike, when i can get the same exact thing here for more than 50% off. i bought 3 new outfits (pants, tops, and sports bras) for $65. there was no line at all so i was in and out in less than 15 minutes. only major downside is that its all metered parking, so if you take long a fat $18 parking ticket might be waiting for you. luckily for me i can walk there from work. read more

Lourdes C. needed new trash bins for her new apt (YAY!) and didn't want to go b/c she doesn't have patience to rummage through the mess. I assured her that she would not only find the bins, but that they would be cute and cheap.. and guess who was right? The most horrible experience!!! I went in two days after the Christmas holiday to purchase two items and was in line for 30 mins before I gave up and left the items. They had four registers open out of 10. I asked to speak to the manager Vivian (I believe), and her nonchalant attitude was more infuriating than the standing in line. The store is unkept, the staff lack ANY FORM of customer service. It's like a sore in the Coral Gablea area... Note to self-no need to go to the Ross... I go to the one in Downtown Miami usually. I recently discovered Ross and have checked out a few stores in the Miami area. The stuff is so cheap it's crazy but you definitely have to be in the mood to look around. I would not recommend this particular location. It is a mess, full of rude people, and an overall very unpleasant experience. I've never shopped in Ross before moving to Miami and this location is a couple of blocks from my job and it's been a life-saver. Anytime I needed an article of clothing for cheap, I stop in Ross. It's also my first stop when shopping for home decor junk. Lines can get pretty long during peak hours and there's usually only one person dealing with returns so plan to spend at least 30 minutes on that line.
