I always think, "I'm not going to find anything" when I go to Ross. But guess what... I always do find something. Maybe even a few somethings! Ross is like some sort of mix between a Kohls and a Kmart. A department store with linoleum floors, fluorescent lighting, and usually screaming kids all around. They have a little bit of everything; a ton of products but not a ton of variety (the mens clothing department is always lacking). You might find an adorable pair of shoes, but they only have them in size 9 1/2. Or you find a great dress, but there's only one and it's missing two buttons. At Ross, you have to be willing to dig; almost like a garage sale. There can be many worthwhile treasures at a bargain price if you're ready to hunt. I always have better luck looking for home decor and kitchenware; there are always great options in both of these departments (at the back of the store). Cute clocks, pillows, picture frames; spatulas, non-stick pans, pot-holders, glassware, etc... Ross also always has a tiny but pretty awesome holiday section. I've found the most darling terra-cotta pumpkins and glass skull candle holders! Come in here when you have some time to spare, see what you can find. There is usually only one register open, but other than that, I enjoy my Ross visits! read more

When you buy something less than 30 days ago but don't have your receipt but the bag and the tag on the shirt brand new you would think you could return it because it didn't fit. It was also the size that I normally wear. read more

What on earth? I had to do a double take to see if they were even still in business. There were maybe 5 racks in the store with any clothing on them whatsoever. Like 3 pairs of shoes and bunch of mismatches all over. Employees were standing around everywhere because, heck, you can only sort 5 racks of clothes so many times. Not a single register open, just customer service. Waste of time. Not sure how they pay their rent! read more

Was just reminded why i dont shop at Ross. Rudest employees, oh and dont ask to use their bathroom. She pulled a Jim Carey and called it over the intercom, "can someone open the barhroom for this customer!" That was just the first of several rude encounters and we were just there for 10 minutes. TL;DR I went to exchange a kid's toy w/o a receipt (received as a gift) and was talked-down to. The customer service from "H" needs to improve drastically. Instead of scolding the customer, she should be more understanding of situations. She was talking condescendingly about the condition of the box I was returning and insinuating I was a liar. The box was taped up prior to us receiving it. One could easily tell it had been there for quite some time. She got on her headset and told her manager "the box is all messed up, I can't take this". I told her it was the same condition we received it in...they sold it like that. I brought up this point and she claimed Ross does not sell toys in that condition. Well maam, I will add some photos here for your perusal. Do not purchase kids toys here - a lot of them are in poor condition and many returned items are resold to other customers. I asked for the manager and "H" claimed she was the manager even though she was clearly getting permission from someone through her headset. After I asked for the manager two more times, she allowed me exchange the product. Her attitude changed completely after that. I felt like I was in a Monty Python skit (alternately rude and polite). Like she put up a front and after you ask for the manager a couple times, you will be allowed to exchange the product and be treated well. I would've preferred to get attacked by a white bunny. I had no clue where anything was in this store. I don't normally shop here and the only Ross I know is Rick Ross and everyday he is hustlin', like this store. I wish someone would've checked to see if the same product was in stock. I had to walk around the store and figure out where the toy section was. It's in the far back-right corner of the store. To the store: It's 2019 and not 1950 - please learn how to communicate with others. It's possible to say no respectfully without being rude. After reading another review from C B. - 2014 with a similar experience, I'm surprised "H" hasn't changed her ways. I am a 40-yo man with two kids, married, full-time job and a world-full of responsibilities. I do not have the luxury to waste time at Ross during my lunch break. read more

This place by far is worse when the worker has nerve to ask me to pay the window screen that I got from Lowe's inside the Lowe's plastic bag. The unmannered Indian lady came to me at the door and rudely asked "You have to pay this" so I told her why would I pay you for things that I've bought and paid elsewhere? Oh come on guys, it's Ross. I ALWAYS find something here...always!! They are fully stocked with cute dresses and some fun tops as well. Right now if you need some fall boots come here! In the next month or so they'll be gone. I love me a bargain and not ashamed at all to say I shop here. Ross has received my hard earned money for years. I will say not all Ross locations are created equal. This is one of the better ones. Mainly due to the fact I believe a lot of soccer moms and rich housewives probably shop here. Came in to this ross one day during my lunch break to pick up a couple new shirts for work. We were having a couple where green or whatever type days and I realized that I needed to expand my closet a little past my two or three safety colors that most of my work clothes are. I did end up finding about 3 or 4 things I ended up taking home with me. I'm sure I would have found more but the way they have everything sectioned is kind of annoying to me. I don't like clothes shopping, I want to be in and out in 10-15 mins but this store is designed for people; mainly women; willing to spend a good 30-45 mins in there to find all of the sections that have their size. I think I had to go to 4 different areas just to look at large or extra large work appropriate tops and I think I missed a couple sections. I ended up also stopping to look in the kids clothing section for my daughter and the kid's section wasn't as spread out as the women's section ... which I assume is their target group ... but also didn't have the selection I was hoping for. I will more than likely be back because of their prices and location near work but I may have to allow more time than I normally do to shopping for clothes than I normally do/ read more

I have been in Retail Management for over twenty years and when I tell you that this location has the most unprofessional management team I am not exaggerating. I bought a pair of shoes at the Ross store in Denton, I took the tag off the shoe (it's very tacky to leave the tag on) but I still had the receipt. The cashier radioed the manager telling her I had the receipt but the tag was not attached, the manager told her to tell me to go find the shoes in their shoe department and if I found it they would do the return. The manager didn't come to the front, didn't take in consideration that I had the receipt which would give the description of the shoe once she entered it in the register. I had to call on God not to curse any of them. I found the shoe and was able to get my money back. Customer service has gone straight out the door, the most unprofessional people work at Ross!!!!! read more

Bought something there Wednesday had to return it yesterday. I was met by the rudest person I have ever met. Habida was her name. First she scolded me for coming up to the return counter. I bit my tongue she went on and on. Then I did not seal the box from the product I bought because they USUALLY look at the product. She lectured me AGAIN on how I should have taped it shut. She went on and on I finally said umm I am NOT a child please do not speak to me that way. She still kept mumbling. I was furious that an employee would speak to a customer that way. Wow never shopping there again. REALLY RUDE . I have worked in customer sales before and I would never talk to an customer that way. read more

Ross is always a hit or miss, it's either really clean or completely trashed. This location is the latter of the two. I still love the prices when I do actually find something, but this is not my favorite location. read more

I Often shop at this Ross, the deals are great but the customer service sucks. There's always just one cashier, and multiple times I've seen the same woman (apparently a manager) chatting with the security guard loudly and laughing. They are so ghetto, and loud. It really gives a trashy vibe to the store. About a week ago this "manager" was actually talking about sexually explicit situations, and mentioning what she and her boyfriend do in the privacy of their bedroom. I was disgusted. I can't believe someone like that is actually in a management position. read more
