I haven't visited this Ross in years and I'm hearing it's one of the best locations. I went to the dressing room where the attendant watched me count each article of clothing and put it on the stand before I went into a fitting room and when I came out others, others were just walking in, so that was a bit bizarre. The check out line is SO long that I wish they had more people working. Otherwise, everything is pretty clean and organized for the most part. read more

Was happy to get a Izod sweatshirt for $11 today. I'll admit a DKNY dress shirt at $18 was tempting, but didn't bite on this one. Unfortunately the red Nautical shirt was always in the wrong size section. Admittedly am almost 6'3, but let's fix up the XL section please. It was busy so it's possible entitled customers, just put them all over the place. Am happy dress socks were found too. This store helps during this period of rampant inflation. The one area that disappoints is the shoe section. There's just not a lot of men's shoes I liked. Taste is subjective to be fair. Employees were friendly and helpful. Getting in early sped up the checkout process. I like this store occasionally, and if you're looking for value, this might be a good choice. read more

I never go to Ross because it is an unorganized and messy looking place, but I thought I could give this place a try. I do not mind the place being outdated, but it was dirty. There were trash around the store. The isles were crooked or even too small for an average person to walk to without hitting the clothes. The jewelry section that was just contained in a big glass box was messy. I was surprised to see $10 items locked in there. I pressed the "call for assistance" button and waited 20 minutes for someone to come. The place seems understaffed and the employees look miserable. I hope this place can improve. read more

7/10/22 When I visit most Ross Stores, the first thought that comes to mind is under staffed and messy areas. It is something I have seen time and again. This store wasn't so messy, but this one wasn't so bad. I do think this store is under staffed, but the prices and good merchandise can be found here. My wife enjoys buying her seasonings here. I have found some shirts here at times. Today at this store, I found a shirt to take home with me. I would consider coming back in the near future. read more

Not trying to be a karen but associate #272809 needs to be reported immediately. Today I was shopping with my mother, she asked for her senior discount, understandably the cashier asked for her ID. My mother proceeds to show the cashier and the lady tries grabbing it without asking for permission which is not okay. Because my mother doesn't speak english I tell the cashier my mother does not want anyone touching her ID because she is older and high risk so she does not wish for other people's germs to touch her personal things, if she'd like we will hold it closer for her. She then replies "I don't have my glasses I need to hold it" to which i reply "no i'm sorry she can hold it closer for you" and she replies in a loud voice "do you want to come behind the register then and do my job for me since you know so much?" I was shocked and didn't say anything. It then comes to the end of the interaction and as I walk towards the exit, my mother stays behind to get the receipt and I hear the cashier tell my mother "ew she's so rude" knowing my mother doesn't speak english which is why she said that to my mother. I am so glad I heard that, no ross employee should talk about a customer like that. When I turn around and say "excuse me?" she just laughs it off and gives me a dirty look. I asked for her name and she said gibberish or spoke in her language so I wasn't able to understand what she said. I was simply advocating for my mom not wanting people to touch her personal things like her ID since she doesn't speak english and she decides to insult me. I don't know if she is new and has no training, but regardless this was unacceptable. No customer should be talked to like this. Her associate number according to my receipt is 272809. In the picture uploaded you can see she had white gloves on, those white gloves were basically brown/yellow because of how dirty they were & with those dirty gloves she wanted to touch my senior mothers ID & got upset and chose to insult me because we didn't let her hold it. read more

Customers in the line were yelling (yes, yelling) across the store at the cashiers to "hurry up!!! This line is long!" And they all remained patient and kind and moved as quickly as possible! I am a true fan of Ross and this store happens to be my favorite because I never feel as if I am getting "picked over" things. The majority of my work wardrobe comes from here. If you like what you see on me, then do NOT go to this store. Hit up another Ross. After all, I can't walk around looking like a clone. The DC area is just too small for that. I love the discount prices and I am to the point where I will not purchase a dress over $20. I love dresses and this is always my first stop when looking for any type/style/color. I've been shopping at this Ross for sometime. It is disgusting. The restroom is open but should be closed due to the fact it is clogged and cannot be flushed. The store is in disarray. I was in the area and had some time to kill so decided why not pay a visit to Ross and "look around". You never know what you might find. This location has a lot of space but yet they don't utilize it well. The store seems so bare and the selection is so minimal. Sometimes you randomly find a hidden gem but I did not this trip. I'm always in this store, I work nearby and they have a lot of items my store can use. The line is always SO long, which is why I'm giving them down one star. But today I went there to pick out an item for my house. There was a small cabinet in the back, but a knob was missing. I looked for an associate and couldn't find one to save my life. Again, I work in customer service and I understand being understaffed. So I went up front and asked the manager if he could help me. He told me to give him just a moment. I could tell he was busy, and I'm a patient person. After a few moments, he saw me still waiting and told me he would be right there. Again, communication and letting me know I wasn't forgotten about was nice! So he makes his way over, sees the missing knob, and gave me 20% off. Then he was nice enough to hold it in the back for me until I could pick it up after work. So many people these days take time out of their day to write negative reviews. Like most thrift/discount stores, they're a hit or a miss. Sometimes when I come in here, I find decent stuff. Other times, I find nothing. In my opinion, Ross isn't as good as, say TJ MAXX, but it isn't bad. I take it bad. It's mid. I've found 2 things here in multiple trips. I almost didn't go to this location because the reviews were so bad and I do trust my fellow yelpers BUT it's a Ross and my expectations are never high anyway. I walked in .... clean... looked like any other Ross... surprisingly no folks in security jackets like I have seen in some other locations. I made off with a good haul - folks were polite enough.... dressing room descent enough. I expected to be in line for awhile at Ross so it is what it is. I walked out with a Ralph Lauren suit, Tommy Hilfiger sweater, some no name pants that were really cheap and a Jones of NY blouse and a blazer for $122.00 - yea ROSS! Their housewares could have a bit more interesting stuff, but ya know Ross is like on some days notta and some days you can rack up. I would go back without hesitation. Sometimes it's acceptable, but most of the time it's just bad - merchandise in rough shape tossed every which way. It's dim, dated & just generally dingy. Service sucks. The bathroom should be declared a health hazard, demolished & rebuilt. I hate that this store is such a mess cause walking into a good Ross is like walking up the pearly gates or something. Wouldn't recommend this location due to several reasons: - store is large, yet merchandise and sales floor is bare in comparison - clothing at this location is often a sore sight (minimal selection, cheap materials, torn, etc) - as bare as the sales floor is, someone should at least give it a good scrubbing. Dirty & dingy. IMO, compares to other Ross/similar locations in Manassas, VA. So if I didn't know any better, I'd assume they were all this unappealing. However, I have visited other locations outside of the NoVA area & they are far better than this one. Regardless I do tend to run in when in the Greenbriar shopping center & on a mission to find certain items (particularly pet items). I love a great bargain and I love decorating and then redecorating just to decorate again in a few months lol. I am a Kirklands/HomeGoods/Ross girl for sure lol. I want the designer item without the price tag. And I will hunt and wait and wait some more for it. I recently redid my entire living room at Ross. Throw pillows, picture frames, lamps, huge rug and coordinating kid-proof and puppy-proof accessories! I always go and look for inspiration pieces. Ross isn't the kind of store you can pop into and always find exactly what you want. You either plan ahead and buy that dress knowing there will be a party to attend eventually -- or you risk it not being there next weekend when you stop in. My biggest recommendation: Stop in Saturday mornings BEFORE the mom brigade gets in and lets their bad kids scream, run and mess up the store. And don't pop in late at night either. Seriously, I don't know what is wrong with these Moms but what makes you think we want to hear your screaming kid while we bargain-hunt?! Nope, leave 'em at home so I can focus darnit lol. I don't go into Ross often but when I do, it drives me CRAZY! After visit this Ross, i've come to the conclusion that it's just my local Ross that makes me feel that way. This store is very large and seemed SEMI-clean. It seemed organized and easy to follow. I was looking for a quick last minute dress so I stopped in really quick and ended up staying a lot longer than I had expected and walked out with a lot more than planned. The cashiers were slow, just like any other Ross but at least they greeted their guests with a smiling face. I try not to go into Ross much but I may stop by at this location if I choose to visit Ross in the future :) read more

I was in this store on 04/09/2022 at the Chantilly Lee Jackson hwy location at approximately 6 pm when I started to become ill as I have Diabetes and at times can become nauseated and sick to stomach. I asked a Ross Associate if they had a bathroom. She stated no, but walked and directed me to a bathroom. While I was using the facilities a female entered and asked who I was ? I immediately informed her that I was customer and did not work there, but that her Associate had gave her permission for me to be to utilize the bathroom. The person stated to me that I was not supposed to be there and began to harassments, but standing there with the bathroom door opened and basically kicking me out. I was so embarrassed and humiliated as there was another associate sitting there viewing the entire incident. I asked her to speak with the manager and she stated, " I am the manager." I then asked her what are the customers who shop there supposed to do for a restroom if in need. She stated with a twirl of her hand in the air that they can basically use the restroom somewhere else in the mall. She was rude, disrespectful and I informed her that She was rude. I then proceed to gather my daughter who had been shopping and overheard the commotion and advised to put everything back as we were leaving. I then proceeded to the front desk to ask the name of the manager. I was advised that her name, ( not sure of spelling ) Was MALIKA. I felt I was discriminated against, Harassed and basically kicked out the bathroom. I am an African American female and I dont think this would have occurred if I was not. This was unacceptable. Ross isn't for me all the time, but in a pinch this place usually delivers. I have had all of the following happen while at the office; run in your tights, hit up ross; underwire poking through, hit up ross; forgot your sunglasses, hit up ross; heel come off your shoe (if one of the18 pairs under your desk simply won't do), hit up ross! This place wins in the convenience and cost factors, but.... Customer service stinks. They never have enough lines open, and today, there was one sales associate who just wandered around in front of the two lines with a blissful smile on her face and absolutely no interest in opening up a second register for purchases despite the line extending past the designated queue. That said, the selection here is pretty good and I can almost always walk away from here with three or four dresses for less than I might pay for one at almost any other major department store (hence the "dress for less" slogan). Don't bother with the coats or with the swimsuits. Stick with shoes, housewares, dresses and tops. The trousers are always a weird fit and don't trust the lotions or the electronics. The one is usually expired, and the other is usually off brand with zero warranty. Do check out the very decently priced luggage. $100 goes a long way here. Happy hunting! read more

I love me some Ross!! I mean, who doesnt love bargain priced good looking clothes?! But COME ON!!! POOOOORRRR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I literally spent an hour looking for clothes but everything was literally EVERYWHERE. Finally found some flats I loved and I ended up waiting 35 minutes in line. One person was at the cash register and one person at customer service. 35 minutes later and I was next to be called then someone shows up in the customer service line with a cart FULL of crap and she calls that person first. MIND YOU, this person had NO return item and I asked the customer service person if she could see me first because I only had 1 item but she said she couldn't because the other lady in the customer service line is priority. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I WAS WAITING IN LINE FOR 35 MINUTES WITH 1 ITEM AND YOU'RE GOING TO CALL SOMEONE UP THAT LITERALLY JUST ROLLED IN LINE 2 MINUTES AGO WITH A SHIT LOAD OF CRAP?!?!?! HOW INCONSIDERATE!!! I got so tired of the horrible service that the shoes werent even worth it anymore.
