This Ross didn't have many people inside when we went. It was a lot going on in the store. Things weren't really organized in some areas/departments . The cashier's were ok, but weren't really that friendly or welcoming. It's more get you in and out. They did have some nice clothing and purses? I usually gravitate to the make-up section, but it wasn't a lot of choices and everything was kinda just thrown on the shelves. The makeup pallet I found had really pretty colors . They have different types of waters, candy, cookies, kitchen items, clothing, and more. I didn't buy many things this time. But I'm glad I checked it out!! read more

If you're searching for affordable clothing and don't mind a disorganized environment, this is the place for you. I was able to find a few Tommy Hilfiger shirts for $19.99, which I thought was a great deal. However, I was disappointed by the customer service. One cashier, an older Black lady (without a name tag), was particularly rude. I went to the register where the light was on, and she walked away without acknowledging me. I assumed it was her station, so I asked if anyone was at that register, and she told me she was working at register 1. I went over there, and as she rang up my items, she tossed them into the bag without any interaction. She gave me my total, then just walked away, saying I could grab my receipt. One word for this Ross: Chaos. Walking in was like the fun house at a carnival. Loud, noisy, lines down the aisles. People cutting in lines, screaming kids. Clothes on the floor, hanging off hangers, and the inventory has gone down hill. Shoes sprawled everywhere, customers trying them on and leaving them in the aisles. Packages of sheets opened, food department a mess. My mouth agape, as I watched parents let their kids play with toys and leave them on the floor. Was I on Candid Camera?! Not only was the store in disarray, but there was only one cashier. At one point the lone cashier literally yelled at the top of her voice "Attention employees! Can someone come to the front and help me!" Yep! Yelled that loudly while we, the customers, were corralled in a line maze with people chattering and arguing. I contemplated just walking out. It was something out of a movie. I regretted my decision to shop there. But... I initially went in to look for a gift for a friend, the jewelry cases were low in stock, but I got a pair of earrings anyway. I couldn't wait to pay and get out of there. I admit, I dont have alot of patience for this store because it feels unorganized to me. You have to have alot of patience to sort through the racks. (I dont have alot) but... my daughter loves it and I found alot of summer clothing for her and my bill was just slightly over $100. Cant beat that! She found and put together 4 or 5 outfits with that. My wallet appreciates you Ross. I will be back soon since teenagers always need more clothes. See you soon Ross. read more

I went into the Ross on Glen Allen, VA on 4/8/2022 in theand the cashier associate 958161 was the most unprofessional cashier that I've endured at Ross. She didn't greet me, she didn't tell me my total, she handed me my bag, I said thank you and there was still no response then she had the nerve to tell me to get my own receipt. It took all I had not to be as disrespectful as she was, and match her raggedy lil pony tail energy . Ive always had pleasant experiences at Ross as it's one of my favorite stores but associate 958161 definitely represented Ross in a piss poor manner. read more

This store was very clean, spacious, and un-cluttered! There was a greeter at the door. I think he also served as a "loss prevention specialist". The location is right across the street from Innsbrook and there is plenty of parking. I found a great variety of clothing at this location. The prices were great too. If you look carefully, you will find some very nice name-brand clothes at discounted prices. Everything seemed very orderly but there wasn't a lot of staff around. If you have questions, you will have to go to the service desk as it is unlikely that you will just find staff wandering around. Music played in the background but it was not overly loud. The fitting rooms are well maintained. No clothes sloppily strewn everywhere. There are quite a bit of home goods and luggage/accessories to select from. I enjoyed my shopping experience. read more

Zero stars: The manager/person who greets you at the entrance well.... I walked in asked if I could use the restroom before I start shopping and he says no it's having issues. I go next door a use the restroom NO BIG DEAL! Walk back to Ross and this man instead of a warm greeting I get asked why I am back. I become a bit annoyed but NO BIG DEAL!! I start shopping and see him getting ready to leave while saying his goodbyes a white female asked him to use the restroom and he tells her it was in the back. I love shopping at ROSS! I really hope customer service improves and starts treating everyone equally. read more

My sister went in to return a brand new suitcase, purchased 3 days ago that was damaged the first time she used it. The suitcase has a 3 year warranty. The cashier was extremely rude and accused her of doing the damage herself. She got her refund but will never shop in that store again. Nor will I. It takes so very little to be polite and courteous, I am sad to see how little Ross cares in hiring its employees. read more

This store is such a shit hole. Unorganized understaffed. The dressing rooms were closed and they had two tiny booths in the front of the store for customers. The lines to the dressing rooms and cashiers were extremely long. There are plenty of people out of work in Richmond. You would think management would do a little better job staffing. I am crazy about Marshalls and TJ Maxx. Ross, though not quite on the same tier, is of the same ilk and not far behind. I've never had any luck in their shoes or housewares departments, but I can always find a nice, inexpensive dress, suit or skirt there. read more

This is the place you go to for name-brand items you want to pay bottom dollar for. Great deals here include: athletic socks, women's hosiery, shoes (sometimes...I prefer Marshall's), and pajamas, bras, and underwear. They have a fair amount of Calvin Klein items, but I find I can usually bid under the Ross prices over on eBay, or at consignment shops. The customer service is not the best ever, and lines can be long during peak hours. I try to go either first thing in the morning or within 30 minutes of closing to avoid a wait. read more

They refused a return and claimed I worn shoes. The strap was defective which is why I was returning them in the first place. I am sure that I wasn't the only one that didn't try the shoes on before I bought them and they were only $16. I reported stupid ass associate 168404 to corporate and disputed the charge against the shoes. read more

Men's department is almost always empty. For some reasons they just don't carry enough merchandise there, especially shoes. Although you sometimes you can find good deals for apparel there. This is the only reason I put three stars for my rating. read more
