I have been going to this Ross for as long as they have been here. Clothes selection is very limited and not nice. When I was waiting in line today to check out, an older Hispanic woman cashier with glasses, I believe she's been working there for a long time, she kept saying next next... there was a woman at her register trying to get her items situated so she could move out of the way. When I approached the cashier, there were no pleasantries from her, just a very rude attitude and bitter look on her face. I asked her why she doesn't extend the courtesy to customers allowing them to move away before barking "next,next".... She said it's policy and kept talking over me. She was so rude to me and when I asked her name (her name tag was blank) she asked why? She refused, and said you don't need my name, I said for the survey. She said congratulations, whatever that meant. My receipt has Assoc.# 399099 I never see this woman smile for as long as I've been shopping here. She is miserable all the time and shouldn't be working in customer service! A lady next to me at the next register heard the interaction and agreed with my observation of this cashier. This store had some really nice scarfs. I stopped in on a Tuesday which is additional discounts. 55 and older discounts. The store was clean and well organized. I found a beautiful large blanket scarf for only $6. There is plenty of free parking. As I walked around the store, the employees were restocking racks. I used to shop here for clothes, handbags and household items. Now I shop for both at Marshall's or TJ Maxx - higher prices but better quality and selection in my opinion. Today I saw many Michael Kors, Calvin Klein and some Kate Spade bags. I am impressed with their variety of backpacks and brands. Seasonal housewares here are limited but cute, and the housewares section is big. I scored a shower curtain/liner/hooks set, which Marshals didn't even carry. They have a sizable men's section but not much of an infant department. Conveniently located right off the 405 National Blvd., the parking spots are big as well. The employees are always professional and nice. It's a big store with enough merchandise but some parts of the store need restocking (on today's trip, the jewelry department and seasonal). As a rule I only use Ross to buy suitcases. I travel a bunch and sometimes I do only carry on but have lots of stuff to take back. Your typical Ross where employees pretend to stock the house slippers in order to avoid opening a checkout lane. One line open maybe two with 14 people in line is quite normal here. Parking is ample! I was literally excited to shop around for my home, mind you, I haven't been here in years. I am so upset, there was a female short worker who asked me if a reusable bag was mine. And proceed it to accuse me of setting up to steal. Wtf!? I have a $600 Tory Burch bag, some birks and basic minimalist outfit to be accused of something outrageous! Mariana--if that was her name, since her name tag was flipped the other way, had the worst attitude ever! So much so that everyone tried to avoid her. She couldn't even greet. With an emotionless face she goes straight to ask if you want a bag for 10 cents. Avoid the small skinny girl with black hair and her name tag flipped to where no name is visible if you don't want end your trip being mad. This was my first time at this location and it was extremely disappointing. Vivica who was presented as the manager on duty lacks professionalism and is in need of intensive management and customer service training. It's is not professional to be condescending with customers when one has a request. A simple yes or no is enough. I wanted to try on some clothing items that I was considering for an event. The employee at the fitting room stated I could only take 8 items in and very rudely pointed to the sign. I let her know I understood it said 8 and I had 9 but I was wondering if the manager would be able to grant me this one time taking the 9 as I was trying to see what items would fit and match well. She used her communication system to call her and probably said more than I just had a question as the manager came out with an aggressive demeanor. I stated my scenario and offered to leave a credit card or my identification for them to hold to secure I would come back out with the 9 items. She said she couldn't that it was policy and went on to state that she could not change it and that she had to come out during her lunch break to talk to me. I let her know that was not something I would be aware of a customer. When I requested to speak to someone in charge I assumed that I would be speaking to someone on duty. She proceeded to try to have a back and forth with me about how she was entitled to a lunch break. Her demeanor and tone of voice were not ok, so I requested to her name to file a complaint. She refused and said to ask in the front. After trying on the items I asked the employee in the fitting room for their names and she said that the manager had told her not to give it to me. Once in the front I asked the other employees for the name and they tried being evasive. I got in line to pay and the manager made it to the front, she opened a register to check out individuals. My turn came up and I had the cashier next to her. As she was closer and not covering her name tag like before I looked her way to get the name from it. She saw me looking at it and snatched it off quickly saying I couldn't have her name. I asked her to please stop talking to me as I did not want to engage in a back and forth with her. She continued saying I was looking at her and other things that I tuned out as I did not want to speak to her. Since she wouldn't stop saying things I told her to stop or I would record her to which she became furious saying it was private property and I couldn't record her. She order the cashier to stop checking me out and said she could refuse service to anyone. The entire time she was condescending without a need for it as I never became aggressive wit her, she was aggressive and was on a power trip. The way she commanded the other employees was not professional and they all seemed scared of her. It was the most puzzling, disappointing, and alarming customer service experience anyone could go through. Stuff here is fine, I found a bunch of nice clothes and shoes. But never coming here because of the line, one, if you're lucky two people checking out a long line with at least 15 other people is crazy. They had the same person checking out and doing jewelry. They're understaffed and it's crazy how there's no apology or anything for waiting 30+ minutes to get checked out. This is one of the best Ross selections in the city, next to the one across from the Grove. I can attest to the stellar service. I'd left a pair of blue dress shoes on hold and since they only hold until the end of the night, I came right before they closed and someone had put them back. Here's the amazing part: two of the staff stopped putting the store back together and helped me look up and down for these shoes (Angela was relentless while Cynthia gave me lots of moral support). We came up with nothing, and I settled for a different pair of shoes... Right as I started walking to check out Daniela swoops in out of no where and says "Blue shoes, right? I saw them get put away, I know exactly where they are because they are the only pair we've got". Let me tell you, she went right to them in 10 seconds. So, to recap. If you are shopping here, one must have great stamina and perseverance in order to find your treasures... it is not an experience for the impatient buyer. People stick things in between racks trying to hide their choices. However, I was searching for cloth napkins for the upcoming holidays ... I finally found 8 perfect ones hidden on a shelf of candles... yup, pinkie to the sky. So, for under $10, I will have a gorgeous table setting for Thanksgiving with a cool runner and beautiful, cotton napkins! On to my next adventure! PS The Walker Shortbread cookies called my name as I was walking and waiting on a long line. Eventually, I picked them up and bought them... I love shortbread! This Ross has been in the neighborhood for a long time. The good thing about this one is they have a large store (so not too crowded) and a large parking lot not shared with other stores. The location is also convenient and freeway close. Shopping experience, like in most discount stores, can be poor. It's hit and miss - sometimes you'd find a good deal on something you need; other times you could waste your trip with nothing found. Quality of merchandise is a big variable. I'd say lately fewer name brands make their way to Ross, alas. But it's still a good store for picking up things like general household items, casual clothes, etc for very low prices. read more

I went shopping there today. Their parking lot has oil on the floor. I feel and informed store personnel at Ross, but they didn't care. All I got was an oh well. When I asked if I could get the property managers information, they said they didn't have that!!!! This is why people get assured because they do not care about their customers. I understand that as store employees, they might have that information, but it is people's attitudes that might make a change. Worst store. I live across the street from this store and I have watched it decline tremendously over the past year or so. First they started treating everyone shopping there like a criminal. Whether you went to self check out or the register you had to have someone check off each item you purchased b4 leaving the store. This is after either a cashier checks you out or a security guard/store employee counted each of your items prior to self check out and watched you while ringing each item at self checkout. Then you head towards the door and security ask to see each item on your receipt to check off your receipt. Well now they have completely closed self checkout and only have 1-2 registers open at all times. The lines are utterly ridiculous the past couple times I've stopped in! I am done with this location. Which is unfortunate because it's super convenient for me but not AT ALL worth my time and being made to feel like a criminal. On top of that the store could be kept up better. I love this ROSS because it's huge and open late. I live by about 5 Ross' which is awesome. This one is by a couple of strip malls and other great shopping. Always such a good deal. There is a Big Lots, See's Candy, IHOP, bagel shop, CVS, Vons, burger place, boba place, and Korean BBQ, donut shop, tailor dry cleaner, Japanese place, massage place all within a couple of blocks or walking distance. Tons of free parking. I love that Ross sells almost everything that Target has, it has most of the same sections. I was here last time with family, and we were here for at least 4 hours!!! read more

He was rude, unprofessional and would not help nor would he give me the name of his manager. Horacio should not be in customer service position. I have contacted Ross's customer service line several times to complain to their district manager but they did not call me back. I guess they don't care about their customers. there are too many outlet stores out there for anyone to waste their money here with the rude people working here. This is one of the WORST ROSS i have ever been to. I know people go there because the items are cheap and the store clerks, supervisors and managers probably have to put up with crappy customers all the time. But i have to say at least try to behave semi-decent. But they were BEYOND rude. Just my luck i was in a hurry and the clerk is brand new, does not even know how to operate a gift card/store credit. Has to get help at every step. With the supervisor right next to her, she could not find the price even though it was on the item. I was like "Ok, well, you are taking 20 years, here is the price." Now i was NOT trying to be rude, my tone was like come on, every step you are taking like 5-10 minutes. I was also hinting to the supervisor standing next to her that instead of yelling at her, PLEASE help her to find the price. Instead upon hearing my semi-sarcastic comment, the supervisor suddenly came to life and started snapping at me saying "Mam!! She can so NOT help you!!" Is that even a sentence with proper grammar? Ok, i am being humorous here because she was ridiculously rude. Even if my comments was irritating to her, she could easily said, "Hey, i am sorry she is new, we appreciate your patience." That would have shown some basic class. Instead now she is venting on me. I was like, "you do NOT have the right to talk to me." Now the supervisor is muscling the security guy named Jose (found out later) to come and harass me. Just bunch of true cowards. Before i left, i said "Please give me your names." The security guy did but NOT the supervisor even though i asked 5 times. I said to her "you are real piece of work, you have NO qualms screaming at me before the other customers, but you are TOO afraid to give your name." I just left the store after being treated like a criminal. I was publicly humiliated by the staff at this location! No one should be treated this way, and believe me I will never go back to this location or any other Ross for that matter. I was rung up by this lady on register 7 at store # 0323 on 3/09/21 @ 6:07 pm. I bought 3 items and the lady on the register put my receipt in the bag. As I walk away security is looking at me and says "goodnight" and the alarm goes off at the door. I hand him my bag and he tells me the anti theft tag is still on the shoes I purchased. No big deal right ? WRONG. He asks me for my receipt and I tell him it should be in the bag. Then he tells me there is no receipt. I ask for the bag back and I'm looking through it and nothing. He asked me who rung me up and I told him it was the lady in the blue shirt. He asked her if she just rung me up and she says "NO!" At this point I'm passed embarrassed, I'm furious and appalled! I told him to get me the manager cause I want my money back. I walk over to the manager and she's asking me for the receipt. I tell her the receipt was put in the bag and I don't know what happened to it. I'm being interrogated like a Criminal as the whole store watches and I told her I would pull up my credit card activity on my phone and I'm told it doesn't prove anything. I told her to ring up the 3 items and see for herself it would add up to the total on the pending charge on my credit card. NOPE nothing. At this point I want my money back and of course I can't get it back because I have no receipt. I demanded them to watch their cameras and nothing! Finally they take the tag off the shoes and they let me go. No one bothered to apologize for this crap or for wasting my time. After all that drama and humiliation I get home to find the damn receipt inside of the shoe!!!! I went into the store Saturday the 24th of August at 10pm since the store closes late on weekends. I first made a return with the cashier named " Celeste" once my return was done she tried to keep my original receipt which I had to ask for it back. I paid no mind and assumed she probably forgot. I later continued to browse for other things. My problem was at check out time when the same cashier "Celeste" helped me again, this time I categorized my items since it was clothes and home goods. I first gave her my clothes to put in one bag and later the home goods to be put on another bag. My problem was when she put my first bag on the floor instead of handing it to me or simply putting it on the counter. Once she was putting my home goods in my second bag I told her " that's my bag " in which she replied " I know" that's when I told her the bag was dirty and asked for another bag. She then grabs another bag and raises her voice and puts me to the side of counter and tells me " you can do that here" expecting me to switch my things from one bag to another. That's when I asked her who puts a customers bags on the floor? That's simply rude and disrespectful. I told her I have white leather seats and at that point I was upset and she was too. Thats when she replies with " you will be okay." that's when the real disrespect comes in. She first called me childish, then went ahead on calling me stupid and lastly called me " autistic." I went in expecting good customer service and received nothing but trash behavior from Celeste. It's not like a person is able to tell who's autistic or not based on looks. I been trying to get a hold of the store manager by calling every day and have not been able to speak with them. I will continue calling til someone picks up and I will try to get a hold of corporate. This is unacceptable in all levels. I enjoy coming to this Ross. It beats all the other ones I have been too. It is really big and as so much goods. Not everything is inexpensive, but you get good deals here. You can get everything for your home. I really think you can furnish an entire house with everything from Ross. They have things for the bathroom, kitchen, living room, dining room, closet, your room, the garage and the garden. They also have baby stuff, toys candy, food, electronics, and so much other stuff. What doesn't Ross have? I really need to figure that out. I come here to browse and I always walk out with a handful of things. The staff that work here are very nice. Once I walked in I was greeted by the security officer at the door. I was checking out the women's shoes and they have different styles. I went to the clothes and they have sizes for everyone. This is nice because most places are use to selling small sizes or really big ones. If you want to go shop with a friend that is totally opposite from you in size. This is the place to go. You can come together and look around. They try to maintain the clothes organized in sizes as well. I went to the toy section and that was chaos. I can imagine all the little kids trying to play with the toys then leaving them on the floor. I literally had to pick up a few toys to walk through. They have so many toys for babies, toddlers and even teenagers. I'm sure you will find something you like for yourself too. I know I do. They have board games for adults as well. I love everything they have here. There is always a line, but it goes fast. They also have a huge parking lot so you will always find parking. I notice some people park here to go across the street to buy food and there is still a lot of parking left. This Ross is really organized and they have a lot of merchandise. I just actually left with a lot of workout stuff from this location. I got a nice exercise ball, three kettle bells of different weights all 50% less than I would pay for them at sports authority or even target. Pretty good deal! I am generally not a big fan of Ross because it's messy, employees are not friendly, and just looking for clothes is a big waste of time in addition to shoes but when it comes to sports miscellaneous and home stuff I actually like it and have recently been finding some good things. I look forward to checking out a few other Ross locations tomorrow as I'm building a small little gym in my apt. read more

I have also found some great deals on homegoods here, decor, pictures, curtains and kitchen items, all priced much better than anywhere else. Other than that, I hate coming to Ross. This location is only for the slowest and most irksome of employees. The restroom at this branch is disgusting. Walked in today and saw a used feminine product sitting on the diaper changing table. The floor was sticky and dirty paper all over. It smelled horrible. Looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a long time. Stood in line for about 15 min with 2 cashiers working. I don't understand why have multiple registers if they're cluttered up with merchandise. The customer service is hit or miss. Today "ManMu" with a non legible ID tag was not welcoming at all. I am more than positive that the Ross Corporation purposely hires welcoming employees to keep their business afloat. I am more than positive that the customer is supposed to be greeted, asked if they have problems finding anything else in the store, etc. "ManMu" started off by saying "Yes" to me as i stood at the registers line at 9:13am. I responded with "which register" since she was not standing near a direct register and she responded with 3 and then precodeeded to direct the loss prevention employee on where they are supposed to be standing. No hello, no welcome. No how was your experience. I told her at the end of the transaction i was supposed to be asked these things and she, as well as the countless other employees present proceeded to look at each other in unison.
